12:00 you can do 15 bb anytime up to the river. It doesnt matter before the jackpot or later
:D yeah the chat informed me after, I always assumed it was 15bb had to be invested before making quads/qualifying hand but the chat let me know after that as long as the hand improves aka greater than the 5 in this case it qualifies (KKKK7).
@@JNandezPoker Unfortunately I lost a royal flush jackpot that way. I dont know if he would call or not. But I would raise more if I knew before

Sorry but you are wrong. You have to put in 15bb before you make your hand, but if you improve your hand on later streets it also counts as "making your hand". It's not about the river per se. In this videos case the 7 improved his hand because on the turn the hand was KKKK5, and on the river it was KKKK7.

Jay, curious why you checked back top two (A8) with two clubs on the flop. Are you not letting clubs freely draw there? You also had no club blockers. Or if anyone else can comment, would love to hear it.
Some top two pair, or even sets in some spots you want to check back if they have really bad runouts. You of course generally want to bet them, but it's good to check a small part back because they play very bad on turn and river, so you're better off waiting for a safe turn, and strengthen your checking range. This particular hand has no flush draw, no backdoor flushdraw, and no better two pair outs, so even hands like AKT9 without flushdraw could easily outdraw you

Yes, there wasn't any error I just misunderstood at the time the rules for qualifying for the jackpot
