I jumped out of a tree at age 35 last year and I can still feel it. This man is insane.
Well he is Operating Thetan level VIII so no wonder he does these kind of things easily.
S
I played a kick ball game at age 45 with my little cousins and nieces. Dove after the ball, missed it, and messed my knee up. 5 years later, my knee is still messed up.
@lottnio8207 well it's time to join scientology

It's not talked about enough how good Henry Cavill was in this movie.
Agree ... He has a very calm but deadly presence. Probably the best villain Ethan has faced in the whole series. You can believe he would be be a challenge for Ethan both mentally and physically.
He was amazing
he was good but his character deserved more respect for the writer lol
There's a part of me that wished he wasn't a villain but a recurring anti hero rival that lowkey becomes everyone's favorite
@@martynstembridge7714The best one is still the late great Phillip Saymour Hoffman's Owen Davian.
04:36 the scene of Ethan sprinting is awesome
A 56 years old man
Finally! Somebody pointed this out
4:34 These few seconds are breathtaking. It's a masterclass in how to give the audience goosebumps with just a guy running. The music, the barrier between the camera and Tom to make us feel how fast he is at this very moment, etc. It's so pure, so real, so perfect.
Came here for this comment. I will listen to this while I lift or run and the music on top of knowing that Tom did this himself, with his friends over the ear piece “GET HIM GET HIM GET HIM!” Gives me chills. Also the fact that after this insane sprint, he is somehow also expected to have the stamina to whoop Henry’s ass 🤣 so much respect for Tom and Ethan Hunt.
Couldn’t have said it better. I saw this in the IMAX theatre and its freaking euphoric.
That exact shot is what made me fall in love and watch the rest of the franchise. Just an unbelievably exhilarating moment.
@@CameronNottebaumit’s a whole different vibe working out to this 💪🏾
3:55 I love how the older woman on the right just nods at him, like "Go for it!" when he's about to jump out of the window, whilst everyone else in watching in fear/awe 😂😂😂
Yeàhhhh😂😂
Ohhh great observation bro
😂
This guy being 50+ running like this. Tom is on another level of fitness.
It's different shots but I get ya. He broke his ankle with that 2nd roof jump too!
If you get millions for a movie, you are in the profession for 35-40 yrs. You can do as well. They have to do something that makes their film standout. He knows action, doing it. He would have trained for weeks for this, remember.
I am sure he barely run for more than 2 minutes each time. It's all about editing the raw video clips
@@vitoxia1256 he runs at a full sprint for each scene and each scene requires who knows how many takes. Pretty pathetic to try to downplay something like this - it’s impressive no matter what people like you say. Besides, there are some seriously long scenes of full-on sprinting, in this scene and in many other scenes and other movies Cruise has done.
@@jessicadavis8865 Calm down. Assume you are not familiar how movie clips are produced. In order to make the best shot, it's never wise to "run at a full sprint for each scene". Yes he is impressive, I never deny that part. But no one can fight age....
2:46 is the exact stunt Tom broke his ankle on and it still gives me goosebumps on what it looked like
Was that the actual footage from the take that he broke his ankle? like when hes limping getting up is that from the same take as his injury?
@@DaintyBroom2233 Yes, I'm pretty sure he said it himself in a graham norton interview that they used the same footage, where he broke his ankle!
@@DaintyBroom2233 yes because Tom said that he new it was broken immediately and didn't want to have to do it again in a couple of months so he carried on run. Just enough to get past the camera a metre ahead
😮😨
i can't believe its really him...If he does, He must have been linked by cables either way
The whole franchise depends on his athletic abilities.
Top Gun 2 never would of happened, if the man didn't keep his body in such great shape for his age!
This man truly cretes his own genre.. not acting He is performing ngl
When you're running late for school and miss the bus
What ever the future running , jumping , fighting , car/plane chase and other stressful scenes in MI7 and 8 , I just hope Ilsa Faust not be killed off

Even now iam watching ☺
Everything is INTENSE the scene, running, music, jumping everything except for Benji😁.What a goosebump movie!!
The cinematography from 4:09 onwards is GLORIOUS
Tom Cruise is the best of the best runner. He should get an academy award for just the running in his movies.
Don't know how many know but this is scene where Tom broke his ankle jumping from one roof to other. Can see his pain from limping and still got up and got the shot. Tom's the man 💪
Yes i knew it
Out of All the Insane Stunts in this Movie. This is The One that sticks out in my mind as being Unattainable. I rewind and re watch this Every time I watch this Masterpiece.
Same. Lends credence to the characters heroism in the film, Tom Cruise is an inspiration man
As a Londoner, this is the most geographically accurate chase in film history - love it!!
Except if he ran across the Millennium bridge he would have made it there in half the time!
@@WorldofHollyworldyeah but it’s very wobbly to run on still and it’s always full of tourists who get in your way.
4:34 everytime I get goosebumps when Tom run..
Seeing this, I raised my hands and could not believe that someone can do this at the age of 60. Awesome, Amazing, Incredible...
Also he broke his leg when he did that stunt at 2:43
@@NahZ2k4 is this the new Aragorn Toe copypasta
@@hannibalburgers477 I don't understand
he was closer to 50 during the filming probably but still cool
The old lady on the right giving the "you got this" nod as he's about to jump out the window always cracks me up 😂😂
How much running does Tom Cruise do? Tom: Yes.
The score, the cinematography, the stuntwork, the acting everything is just so perfect. Hats off to Tom Cruise, Chris Mcquarrie, Lorne Balfe and all the cast & crew for bringing this absolute unit of a film to life. THE GREATEST ACTION FILM EVER MADE.
2:30 coolest scenes in action history 4:37
Agree.. tom is absolutely legend ⚡
I somehow didn't see the last two mission impossible films...after watching the new top gun movie I checked out fallout and rouge nation and fallout legit had me in tears with the scene w/ his wife. literally incredible how far this series has come. And the roof scene is the best action scene until uh Top Gun Maverick having an F18 go right between 2 others at like mach 2
Also a killer soundtrack
Literally me running for my bus
Bro. No, just no.
Before watching Mi6, I thought the running scene of mi3 was the best every time Finally, this is the best running scene in the mi3 that got even better extreme scene
I'm out of breath from just watching this scene. I can't even imagine running that fast and that hard. I run across the street to beat a red light, and I am dead for the next half hour.
It was such a thrilling happy day when I watched this masterpiece in IMAX
This soundtrack is massively underrated
He got hurt in the roof jump scene actually. Best action actor ever, no doubt.
Jackie Chan #1 Tom Cruise # 2
July 3, 1962 ,tom cruise DOB now in 2022, he is 60 yrs old & look that fitness level is extreme no one can beat ,i think i cant walk properly in this age...
2:41 Shoutout to the Unsung Heroes! The 3 objects in the foreground are CGI and they are there _specifically_ to edit together 4 different takes of Tom Cruise running. If you look at his speed, stride, steps, and body positioning, you can see that each time a CGI foreground object passes between the camera and Cruise, it is a new take; it is especially noticeable if you fix your eyes on the city skyline in the background. The fact that basically no one notices this is a testament to how great a job the editor, assistant editors, compositor, CGI artists, and director did. Edit: I just looked at the footage Cruise showed on The Graham Norton Show of when he broke his ankle doing this stunt and there are no foreground objects. The safety harnesses and wiring, along with him breaking his ankle, are most likely why there are 4 different shots stitched together to create the illusion of one continuous take - I am assuming the stitching would have been easier, and would perhaps only need two shots, if he had not broken his ankle performing the stunt.
Even his hair changes at 2:42
@@Shubham-rt5qm Good eye! Also, thanks for replying. I didn't even know this comment had gotten any likes until I got this notification.
If you look closely sky keeps jumping from cloudy to sunny and back but due to colour grading and how great the chase/running is most people overlook this detail.
@@MayankSharma01 Good catch! The filmmakers had a difficult puzzle to piece together but the final product is *chef's kiss*.
Even though its should be a flaw, but knowing that is happening because stunt is real and how much they put effort in this movie, and schedule, weather condition etc.. it really doesnt matter. You have good eye man ✌️
The stamina of this dude is insane
Imagine Tom running like this and Henry taking a break at Starbucks and Tom still can't catch him😂😂😂😂
One of the greatest chases ever made. Under appreciated.
Imagine you're working in your office and suddenly FREAKING TOM CRUISE comes in
The fact that he's 57 years old is FUKING AWESOME!! Inspires me to work out and stuff 👊
He is already 60....please don't get old.... ❤
This man has been 60 years old since July.

I've always said there should be more rooftops for our agents.

One of the very few film series that still delivers no matter how much movies they make. The first one was in 1996 for christ's sake.
It is quite rare to see that happen. Such a fan of this series!
so excited for the last two as well, the only movies im planning on seeing in theaters the next few years
3:53 the lady in the bottom right is like go on jump🤣🤣
Love this scene and the music!!! It's become one of my workout themes
2:46 toms so fast that they named cruiz missiles on him. 2:46 toms so fast that he broke his ankle, spends months in healing, and then still catch the villian. 2:46 toms so fast that he makes August Walker look as he uses Walker to walk.
@Saad Mansoor - 🤣😂🤪😛👏
👏👏
3:53 that lady on the right is egging him on to jump 😆
I never noticed it, like a nod saying "go on then"
Tom is almost 70 and still outrunning guys half his age! I'm telling you, this guy should be in the Olympics or at the very least preserved
He is Operating Thetan level VIII. He has superpowers and ageing doesn’t have any effect whatsoever on him. He won’t even die (but it is bit of a mystery why Kirstie Alley died recently because she was also OT VIII). So he could go to the Olympics and win literally all gold medals (and silver and bronze medals at the same time as well). Easily.

1:01 To be honest, this is the type of humor I need in modern movies. Not over- the- top, screaming or yelling or etc. Just plane and simple.
Tom Cruise running for 7 minutes
His name's Walker...and he's walking away. Bravo Vince.
2:46 broke his foot
ankle actually :)
At least Henry Cavill gave him a bye bye sign before leaving.
I remember being at the cinema I pissed myself laughing and the popcorn went everywhere when Ethan goes to benji that I’m jumping out a window 😂😂😂
3:51 the old lady nodded her head indicating Ethan to proceed....... this is just awesome ..

Go, Tom, go! So great to see you run so fast!
Running from his gay thoughts
2:46 look at his leg, that's real injury ⚡🏃♂️🏃♂️
I will never forget the experience of watching this film in theatre.
One thing about Tom cruise he can definitely Sprint really fast
A seamless cut at 2:41 - notice how a cloudy day becomes sunny and the shadows appear :)
Great sequence, great editing…required by an ego-driven stunt that delayed production (hundreds of jobs) for several months when Cruise broke his foot on the landing.
@@jmpstrnl2007 he is the reason why people got those jobs in the first place buddy.

If Benji was not all that stupid, we would not have this incredible run.
Wow this whole scene is gorgeous. Have never seen the movie. Might have to now.
