As usual.. just providing some accuracy services for Uncle Chael... - Ryan missed weight by 3.2 lbs - They fought 6x in the amateurs - Ryan did a post fight interview with Patrick Bet David and you can all judge for yourself
Chael UK damn well there's never been an amateur boxing match that makes a fighter money. Ik you like to have unique takes all you care is how many listen but sometimes it's a little much
Bro... $90 for a pair of shorts? WTF?
For real I got a bundle of like 5 of the same style shorts for $30 on Amazon or some shit 😂😂😂 maybe a little bit more but not even close to $90. Chael is a low life loser
Indestructible shorts that is 😅
Wear them while eating your 40$ MAGIC SPOON CEREAL
I honestly think for the most part Ryan was not faking it, but it just happened to work out for him lol
Chael to Schmo: “Nice character, I am you now, bye!”
Schmo can't sniff Chaels jockstrap
He bet millions on himself with the odds, pretty genius. Cmon Chael. That 1.5 was turned into 12 million plus
Not sure what math you are using here. His odds were +500 pre-antics His odds were +600 post-antics That's an increase in +100, which is another $2 mil in winnings. $1.5 of which he had to give to Haney. And then he had to forfeit winning the belt. So an extra $500k....to ensure not being the champion. Brilliant.
@@frmrfrwe live in the times where the belt doesn’t mean much anymore in boxing. Tyson fury has been the heavyweight champ for years and we all know he had been avoiding usyk for as long as possible. Haney lost his last fight to loma in the eyes of the majority. Ryan is going to make so much more winning this fight in the manner he did then had he risked cutting too much weight and possibly losing
@@jordanrodriguez5436no we do NOT live in that world. You can argue that the VALUE of the belt has gone down. But arguing the belt has a value of $0 is asinine. His antics won him an extra $500k. The belt CERTAINLY has a value north of that. It would have him dictate all future fights. Currently he can NOT dictate a fight with Tank Davis, or Shakur. With a belt, he can. Pretending that's not the case is being a little naive.
@@jordanrodriguez5436and if Tyson had NO belts and Usyk had ALL the belts, Tyson wouldn't avoid Usyk as much would he?
@@frmrfrRyan Opened at +425 and on some sportsbooks he was an 8/1 dog at closing. Regardless, the reason it made him more money was because all these antics got people more interested and sold more PPV’s
"Chael is FAIL" Crazy tito didnt think of that one.
He'd fuck it uo and say chael is chael
Thats just crazy 😂😂
Tito think ?
Chale, if it costs me 1.5 million dollars to make 12 million $, I'll take that deal any day. Everyday actually. Twice a day if you'll let me.
Yea no, he coulda bet on himself without the antics. Or did you not realize that.
He did the weight miss for PPV, he's getting $50 million. This is not about his bet, its about the payout to miss weight and generate interest
@@frmrfrdid you not see the antics cause people to believe he wasn’t serious. Even Devin in that interview said he didn’t know if Ryan was taking the fight seriously. Not the same outcome or did you not realize that?
Yeah he could have bet but what would the odds have been
Fight pay is negotiated ahead of time.
I think it's convenient to say it was all an act after he won. However, his family tried to have him admitted back in early March. He can say whatever he wants, that wasn't part of the act. You don't get evaluated at the hospital unless the situation is severe. He also reiterates all the disturbing things he said about his first hand experiences regarding the child trafficking stuff. Obviously it's a very serious real life issue but I don't believe he was tied up and forced to watch. I think he's just calmer in demeanor but his mental health is still giving some red flags.
He didn’t tell his family it was a act .
It looked to me like a manic episode probably made worse by stress of the situation and drug/alcohol use. It doesn’t take a lot to make an episode significantly worse for some people. I’ve been diagnosed bipolar for what will soon be 20 years. Mine is almost exclusively manic episodes without the episodes of depression. I took meds early on and hated how the made me feel so I stopped and I stopped any substance use, wife took over finances and access to more than pocket cash to keep my impaired judgement and overly optimistic ideas/and inflated opinion of my capabilities from destroying our finances. I could obviously be wrong but it sure looked similar to what I’m familiar with. I could also see where it might be something that in his particular situation he may have limited significant negatives consequences. Look up the symptoms for a manic episode and it sounds like a normal young successful athletes/musician normal personality.
It’s all a act idiot he’s a smart kid don’t be mister doctor in the the comments diagnosing someone on the screen he is a genius having people like u believe the antics
7:28 We are all different levels of crazy. Also he could be slightly bipolar and this was just a little manic episode that would have probably been made worse by the stress of the situation. The alcohol and drug use, even in very mild doses, can make the episode even more severe.
i smoked crack in a motel one weekend and told everyone i had the flu
I did the exact same thing but told people i had the Corona virus
I did the same thing but everyone knew I was smoking meth
Lmao
I’m glad I’m not the only person who doesn’t believe it was all an act. Manic people sometimes act normal to try to convince others they are in a normal state
Chael, I’ve been a fan since you were in the WEC, the night you beat Philo. I watched you beat the shit out of Anderson in a sports bar, and like you, couldn’t believe the end, either. Your burger bits alone, are Gold. The only person who knows more about Mma than me, is you. Respect, big Guy -P
Embarrassing
I'm getting "double McGuffin" vibes" here. If you don't know, the great Alfred Hitchcock coined the term "Double McGuffin" to describe the endings of his horror stories. If Garcia intentionally pulled a Double McGuffin, it may well be the most brilliant thing I have ever seen from a fighter. But, as Chael Sonnen said, "Only time will tell" (which is the potential Double McGuffin). I love it.
One of my favorite topics for a Chael lecture/storytime
pro·mo·tion - noun activity that supports or provides active encouragement for the furtherance of a cause, venture, or aim.
Great piece. Thank you! He could use your help for his long term trajectory.
How did he lose 1,5M? He won 10M in a bet and probably will get 50M-100M for the fight. It was an investment Edit. OK, NOT 50-100, Let's say 30-50M. Not the point here... any number you say instead, it's more than 1,5M...
The actual numbers: Lost 1.5-2mil on the scale. Won 12 mil on the bet. Will earn 15-20mil from his fight purse and PPV shares. Where on earth are you pulling your numbers from....?
@@xrystiang8923he lost 1.5 because it was 500k per pound
@@xrystiang8923yeah he said he lost 1.5 m on the pbd show he did. He said the bet he made was an investment lol
@@xrystiang8923it’s still an investment. Didn’t know you’ve seen the contracts. You know fuck all
The bet thing is another lie
I think it's were not we're
🤓🤓🤓🤓
Undefeated and undisputed
How dare you 😂
No.
That’s hilarious. I didnt even notice
I think he was told by his handler(s) to say what he said about trolling to get some heat off of him, because if you watch the whole interview, he calmly doubles and triples down on some of the more “controversial” takes he had stated hitherto the fight. The Grove, the Paul brothers, demons, all that stuff
Exactly this . I watched the first 5 minutes of the pbd and was like nope that was not an act.
He didn't even say anything that crazy.. so it's weird that the narrative was "oh no he's gone crazy".. I hear those things on every right wing KZheadrs channels, nothing new or crazy about it
@@Barbarossa_F This 100%.
@@Barbarossa_F i mostly agree but if you think there is a left/right paradime in US politics. You are a few decades behind from a political standpoint.
Did I ever hear the Nixon tapes? He is very outspoken about the weirdos at bohemian Grove in his words he called them a bunch of f@ggots, but he wouldn't attend. And he told the head of the Cia he knew why they killed jfk. Instead of saying no way! Why?? He sat in silence. Think about that lol
Ryan Garcia wasn’t fined 1.5 million dollars. That was a personal bet with Haney.
Wow, Uncle Chael with the Liar's Paradox, didn't expect that. Well played, sir.
So im gonna assume boxers can bet on themselves but not against themselves? I still feel like betting on fights youre involved in is a bit sketchy.
I was wondering that too 🤔
Another great show from Chael.
Chael you are the man if I could pick one UFC fighter to meet you would be my one. And trust me, there's many because I respect every single one of you and I am a huge fan and I've been a huge fan since the early 2000s. Thank you
Those shorts need a bigger list of how they were tested
I REALLY have a problem with him doing the whole "I was r*ped at 2, and then held down to watch what was happening in the forest and I have evidence and proof of it all" if that was just hype to make him sound crazy in order to sell tickets. That is evil and if that was all an act, I have lost ALL respect for him and I hope his career goes in the tank. You can't praise God and Jesus, that they showed you this path and God "cleans it up", etc... while claiming to be an advocate for the children if you are merely laughing your way to the bank.
What’re you talking about dude. He literally said multiple times now that that stuff he was saying was real but nobody wanted to listen and just called him crazy
Correct, a rational sane person would never make such a claim. Unless….
@@vance4171 If he REALLY experienced what he claims...at 2 years old with evidence, and what he was FORCED to see in the forest, while pushing out his Jesus narrative...those accusations are MASSIVE and the first thing he should be doing it going to the authorities or someone who can investigate the claims, not doing whatever the hell he has been doing pre and post fight. He is also admitting to HOLDING and/or having access to underage crime evidence
It’s buisness. But he also did say that stuff was real. And it’s not really your place to tell someone how to handle a personal experience
Sad you want that to be true.
Chael. The 1.5 m he lost due to not making weight had nothing to do with the crazy act. He missed weight in order to gain an unfair advantage over his opponent. He didn’t care about the belt, he cares about taking the 0 away from Devin.
He actually said in an interview before the fight that he was acting.and i thought it was an act the whole time but I think he bet on himself so i don't think he lost any money.everybody knows already that they fought 6 times before as amateur boxers.
Before the fight: This fight shouldn't happen. After the fight: can't wait to see Garcia fight again
It's not a novel idea. People always talked bout it. Don't know that anyone ever gave it a shot. Makes sense though. Act crazy, destroy your odds and take the entire bank home when you bet on yourself. He can't have been the first to do this. Just the first to pull it off with the internet.
Anyone who knows know that Muhammad Ali was the king of this
Uncle Chael, I’d love to medi with you one day. Golden Buddha kush OG is great for my appetite. Makes me eat 3 full magic spoons
First off Chael in boxing you weigh in. Let’s use 140. If you come in at 140.1-142.0 . The boxing commission makes you try to lose those 2 pounds throughout the day until the later weigh in. You weigh in between 142.1-149.5 they do not make you try to lose the weight. And it’s negotiated between the two teams Ryan lost 1.5 million in a bet with Devin. He was fine 600,000. You said on your channel he made 10 million for the fight. And the slips were provided / confirmed by Bernard He made a massive amount of money with the bat he put on himself. The one thing I think you’re leaving out or forgetting. Ryan would still be popular. Ryan still had a lot of money. I think all of this is just a game. he is very good at playing hats off to him. Well played But no one should take away the fact that he is an incredible boxer. They thought six times in the amateurs as kids.
Uncle Chael bringing us, the audience, All the Usual Suspects 👏🙌
Bro one of the judges scored it a draw. Boxing is CORRUPT to the bone and its why a lot of people don't care anymore.
Live scoring had it a draw as well. When they spelled it out it kinda made sense, but i didnt agree
I think it was partially an act. PARTIALLY. If you think about it, being on top and challenging yiurself in huge fights isn't easy. Being invincible on boxing isn't easy... So after losing to Tank Davis, that might have left a mark... And blow. And might have made him adopt a different posture... One in which he'd be the underdog, one in which ppl would see him as going crazy... So if he lost the fight, he hadn't to carry a big weight of doing so because, well, I was drinking, smoking, so there's that, I lost due to that. It's a form of relieving pressure so the defeat is not only better accepted by the people, but by themselves. Like when Jones would say he'd drink and party before parties and when asked why, he'd say so that if he lost, he could look at himself in the mirror and say "I lost because of that"... It's a way of relieving pressure on yourself and accepting it better when you lose. And it may make them fight better as they fight with less consequences, with less weight on their shoulders. They have that alibi.
My uncle Chael has never lied
Nuts that a boxer can bet on his own fight… regardless of the direction
I mean the dude already as of today has said wild things and the fight is over calling ppl demons and such . I mean listen to his post- fight Jesus Christ clearly something ain’t right. And there’s no way this but rate beat Garcia vs Tank anyway. When he wasn’t talking anything like this. So we have that benchmark. What Steve Collins did to Eubank is the only troll job that is really worth mentioning. Fury running around in a batman suit isn’t trolling as much as it is straight up overt behavior. Steve had Chris trying to call off the fight haha I really doubt Devin didn’t work on an answer to Ryan’s left hand. If he doesn’t say that then he has to admit Ryan’s left was better than what his skill and prep could handle.
We all knew they fought 6 times u didn't 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅beta
It was a bit of both. Yeah he was going a little crazy but as soon as he saw the media jump on it, criticise him, spotlight his behaviour, etc. He just turned it up a notch and went even crazier for the show. Now that hes won, whatever story he wants to tell will be whats written in the history books
". . .We're all an Act" It's time to hire a new production team.
Hard for the man who began the MMA hustle to give credit to another in that same venue. Very understandable... just come to expect more from him
Easy on the energy drinks, buddy, you won’t sleep well. Love your stuff.
I love uncle chael 10 Times more just for the simpel fact He made that eminem reference right at the end.
Chael is a genius
Bro it’s a masterclass if you think about it! 👑 👑
As someone whos dealt with the car crash thing and said that and it turned out to be questionable cause it was not ruled my fault even though my fear and worry made me say it.
I just want to see the ticket for the bet personally. I’m at the point where I question if it’s true. Doubted it at first and the fact he still hasnt posted the ticket afterwards made me further think it was bullshit. Regardless he beat the brakes off Haney.
Genius chael... fact is Ryan should have kept this act going for the longest of time
Glad to see that some of us have a brain and tell that it was absolutely not an act, just like the "media" made Garcia looks absolutely crazy, now it makes him look like an absolute "genius" and "troller" and "it was just a prank bro".
Tell the truth sonnen. They fought 6 time as amateurs
Have a day of Chael.
he could only use this tactic short term because to much would lead to an intervention by certain bodies.. He even stated that the beer bottle was full of apple juice and bubbly water..
Ha “Kaiser sose” moments where he calls 🐂 💩 on supposed theories/phrases are freakin priceless… But Damn, why can’t Kevin Spacey be a wise man though😂😂🤦♂️
I just had to hear how you were gonna spin this one. Just as I thought it was something special.
Ryan is sick of Internet celebs taking everything he worked for. Just like you Mr. Sonnen. Interesting times.
That's weird Chael.... I don't have your #....
Kaiser what’s your Sourceay?
Man I really thought he was bonding with a Oscar on the slopes😔❄️
First thing I thought when I heard he said he faked the crazy act was "if it's true why did he tell everyone?".
I know I’m the odd man out but I literally never heard of this guy before the fight. Just heard of him from clips after.
He bet on himself after all the antics and missing weight… some betting sites had him as high as +600 after. It makes sense if it was all an act to become a massive underdog and bet on himself. Seems pretty obvious not sure if unc is trolling us right now as well 😂
Their previous fights were in the amateur’s, that’s why nobody heard about them, cmon chael do your research
He had shoes on with drink in hand. Something was weird about it paying for it
8:17 "you stupid old man...the greatest trick the devil ever did..." #BITW #iykyk
So did chael rob a bank?? 🤔 Idk
Chael he doesn't care about the 2 million right now he's looking at the next fight in the fight after that which he will get tenfold because of this promo get compelled people with
I never know what we're taking about
You made this whole video just to say that last line. Undefeated.
He was not faking! Just trying to clean up a mess
Those other six fights were also when they were amateurs
I KNEW Garcia was going to win. And I KNOW for fact Ryan wasn’t kidding. His manager must’ve told him to stop for now with his beliefs
Can’t believe Chael isn’t familiar with “Bodlar” the French poet.
He MADE A TON of money by taking the gentleman’s agreement penalty and being strong. Absolute GENIUS. 10 MEEELLION DOLLARS, Chael. Wakey wakey. It was a BRILLIANT play.
Kaiser Sauceay
A previous 6 fights in the Amateurs ffs chael
If you don't understand? I'll explain it. He had no weight cut. Completely healthy. Bet on himself. 1 and a half million was an investment.
most people understand the concept. they just dont buy it.
Garcia believes tweets and KZhead videos and goes, “yeah, I’ll roll with that”
Chael this fight caught the world's interest by his trolling, but without revealing he trolled he could not take advantage of sponsorships, which he now can... trolling would not work a 2nd time he said it himself because he could act crazy but it would no longer sway opinion on results.. it was a 1 time trick he could only use once! Damn Chael, slow on with your IQ this week!
He told Pbd on his podcast he said it on camera before his camp started.
Every episode this guy records is 5% sports talk and 95% nonsense analogies and random suspenseful pauses lol
Look at the interview with PBD. The nose twitch is gone, he's calm. I think a lot of it was an act.
That's how we know it wasn't an act
Your doing a lot of episodes on Ryan. Are your ratings good talking about him?
What would you think...
he missed weight because he knew that would give him the best chance to win . The con was everybody had written him off so they thought he was just a guy that missed weight and lost a lot of money but he's a guy that won the fight because he wasn't drained still wins 12 million
That phrase is soooo much older than that movie.
Ah yes the infamous Kaiser Sorzay
Their first 6 fights were in the amateurs
Channel you said it most people would sell their soul.........most but not all. JESUS is the truth.
he had me sold
He did make money by doing it though.. He got the betting odds against him and then betting on himself to win
Yea no, the odds were against him well before his antics. His "antics" only moved the needle another +100. He could have won $10 mil on himself without the antics.
Who knows if he even bet on himself. What because he claims he did after someone else said he did? He just hears stuff that people say about him that looks good and pushes the same agenda because it’s more believable. Dude is a manipulative fraud and shouldn’t even be in the sport
NO CHANCE he made that bet! He’d be posting about it constantly (w/ receipts) like everything else
Slim Chael…‼️‼️
Chael he didn’t out himself. He’s doing damage control.
Hey Chael, you made yourself look bad when you tapped to Craig Jones’ heel hook.
is he gonna talk about lenix lewis?
I feel like uncle Chael would sell anything for a buck lol.
Ryan Garcia is actually a marketing genius in my opinion mad respect this is Floyd Mayweather shit foreal. GG
Yeah obviously
Don't tell me what I know and don't know.
Wat does it matter, you can't act wat you really are, he just knows how to finesse it
What if this is trollception?
