About Black Panther:
Black Panther is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the 18th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, and it stars Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa / Black Panther alongside Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. In Black Panther, T'Challa is crowned king of Wakanda following his father's death, but he is challenged by Killmonger who plans to abandon the country's isolationist policies and begin a global revolution.
Wesley Snipes expressed interest in working on a Black Panther film in 1992, but the project did not come to fruition. In September 2005, Marvel Studios announced a Black Panther film as one of ten based on Marvel characters and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Mark Bailey was hired to write a script in January 2011. Black Panther was officially announced in October 2014, and Boseman made his first appearance as the character in Captain America: Civil War (2016). Cole and Coogler had joined by then, with additional casting in May making Black Panther the first Marvel film with a predominantly black cast. Principal photography took place from January to April 2017 at EUE/Screen Gems Studios in the Atlanta metropolitan area, and Busan, South Korea.
Black Panther premiered in Los Angeles on January 29, 2018, and was released theatrically in the United States on February 16, as part of Phase Three of the MCU. The film received critical acclaim from critics, praising its direction, screenplay, acting (particularly that of Boseman, Jordan, and Wright), costume design, production values, and soundtrack, though the CG effects received some criticism. Many critics considered it to be one of the best films set in the MCU and noted its cultural significance, with organizations including the National Board of Review and American Film Institute naming it one of the top 10 films of 2018. The film grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide and broke numerous box office records, including the highest-grossing film by a black director. It became the ninth-highest-grossing film of all time, the third-highest-grossing film in the U.S. and Canada, and the second-highest-grossing film of 2018.
The film received numerous awards and nominations, with seven nominations at the 91st Academy Awards including Best Picture, with wins for Best Costume Design, Best Original Score, and Best Production Design. Black Panther is the first superhero film to receive a Best Picture nomination and the first MCU film to win an Academy Award. It also received three nominations at the 76th Golden Globe Awards, two wins at the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three wins at the 24th Critics' Choice Awards from twelve nominations, among others. A sequel, with Coogler returning to write and direct, is scheduled for May 2022.

Yes! I love Black Panther and want it back 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I do miss Chadwick 🙏🏽 Rest In Peace
Thank you for honoring Chad Bowman. He will be missed, but The show must go on. Can't wait to see the sequel of this movie. Awesome..
GlOVA NNi @NAvARROjuno98933
As lifetimes go on, sometimes you come across a jewel of such brilliance that it simply can't be replaced. RIEP Chadwick!!!!!
Chadwick Boseman breathed life into this role. He was an exceptional Black Panther. I do get the outcry not to recast but I also think it was timing. He passed when it was time to do part 2. Everyone was mourning and the thought of it was hard to picture. However I do feel that Chadwick Boseman would probably be disappointed that the story didn’t continue. There was so much more story to tell. I personally do not think it would be disrespectful to his memory to recast. He was a brilliant actor and played many meaningful roles that could never be taken from him, including Black Panther. Recasting could never tarnish him. One does not negate the other. I feel it’s important to have a black superhero and the full story should be told. It’s big shoes to fill but there are many talented black actors who could step up and truly honor him by continuing T’Challas story.
Agreed! I couldn't have said it better myself. I heard that Chadwick's own real life brother thought that Chadwick would want the role recast to continue T'Challa's story.
I'd have to say I really do respect your statement.
ABSOLUTLY AGREED
Finally
Recast sure, but the role should be a male.
Idris Elba has a strong personality he will be a good replacement.
I would love to see Idris in this role accent and all!
Naw Michael Jai White should be the new black panther but I do think Idris Elba would be a better kill monger
I've set it since his passing, make him get a new body in the multiverse saga, by visiting the ancestral realm or bringing a T'challa from another universe
The decision is ridiculous. What about the other characters he played. Are all those characters dead too. I love Chadwick but this is insulting to him, fans, and the genre.
That's one of the things I've been saying all along. One of Dr. Strange's unintentional portal openings during the last portion of "Spider-Man no way home" could introduce another T'Challa from another universe who winds up on the main MCU timeline; after realizing he's not in his own universe, he still recognizes Wakanda, as it is identical to the Wakanda of his universe with one subtle difference: himself. Although this T'Challa embodies all of the heart, nobility, courage & charisma of the original MCU T'Challa, he'd be a bit different in appearance & perhaps in some of his mannerisms, but he WOULD be T'Challa, simply one from a different universe. He'd be welcomed & embraced by the leaders and citizens of the original MCU Wakanda, ultimately being granted the royal patronage to be king. Just a possible take on what could happen in the sequel. But whatever the case may be, I'm totally certain that Ryan Coogler has everything well in hand.
Loved Black Panther, In honoring Mr. Boseman they should keep him memory alive in each movie they do, he was the Black Panther and there will never be another Chadwick Boseman what an amazing man. Looking forward to the new movie, it will be a great one as well. WAKANDA FOREVER REST ON MR. BOSEMAN.
Ion like the beginning when you said....now that Chadwick is no longer here.....put some RESPECT on his whole existence....he still with us....Long Live the King👑
Respectfully, he is no longer with us. May that King rest in paradise.
I can't wait for the new release of Black Panther. Hear is an Idea since we are in the IMagination stage, Brian the director should call Mr. Wesley Snipes! Work out a role for him since Wesley was denied before. Can you see Blade in Wakanda??? Chadwick would be proud!!!
Rip Chadwick Bosemen truly beautiful person and outstanding actor. I hope his soul is with the Father above.
No one can replace Chadwick Bose man but this awesome series must go on WAKANDA FOREVER 🐈⬛🐈⬛.
If the role is recast that doesn't mean Chadwick Bozeman is replaced. He can never be "replaced".
The black panther must be recast or else Disney is guilty of hating and being openly racist against the positive strong black male image of the black panther. They never did this with any other white characters & should not be trying it with the best black male character. That's the Bottom line
Waganda (from Uganda) for ever
Imagine Chadwick Boseman one day just appeared and said "As you can see I am not dead"

@@suzygirl1843 i dont understand your question... I have not mentioned shuri in my comment .
Everyone’s dream
The best black panther that there would ever be I'm my opinion he was the perfect black panther
I agree! But you don't honor someone by discontinuing the role he was portraying. There were plenty James Bonds after Sean Connery.
And who else have you seen played the role before you said you don't any one else who can play the role. Do you mean T'challa as character or BP as a mantle?
In my opinion the best option would be to set the Sequel during the 5 year gap between Infinity and Endgame showing how Wakanda deals with being without a Black Panther with either Okoye, Nakia or M'Baku taking on the role for the Blip period.
interesting story that would be! Also, M'Baku's character grows into his own storyline might be a hit, really expanding the Wakanda universe! If they can make a TV hit out of WandVision , then I can't see why not.
I was going to ask what you were talking about; then I remembered that he was one of the heroes that disappeared after the snap in Infinity War. But seeing his younger sister pick up the mantle after a sudden death (perhaps pieced together from slices of previous Panther appearances) would be cool IMHO.
@@WickedPrince3D tbh there were only ever two options.. either recast act like nothing happened &override the wishes of the cast members who loved/respected him Or take it on.. acknowledge his untimely passing honour him in life &fiction &have Shuri take up the mantle (just as she did in the comics) &who knows maybe play out a godfather 1&2 type story where the cub of the family has to step into leadership role after losing their father &older brother (the michael corleone trope) If they can pull it off THAT would be epic.
@@o-wolf I agree, and think that the second choice would be the better one, we already know Shuri; we already know she's capable. Bringing in somebody else to replace Chadwick would most likely simply cast the new actor as a "second best" and be hated. Chadwick had incredible charisma IMHO and trying to replace him would almost certainly be futile.

For the record: Don Replaced Terrance Howard not “Hardy”
I was gonna say, is nobody gonna address that he called him Terrance Hardy?! Terrance Howard is one of the 🐐 black actors.
If T'Challa is not in the movie I will not support it...how can you honor Chad's legacy by killing him twice. Makes no sense.
Thanks for the video!
Chadwick was a phenomenal actor. He should've been recasted...by another phenomenal Black Actor. It's a powerful character needing a powerful actor. CHADWICK was more than just the Black Panther..... and though he would be honored, the Brutha was void of Vanity and would've preferred for another actor to pick up and carry on.
They Kill Me, w/this not recast/replacing stuff! They replace evry otha character if needed and Boseman is DEFINITELY not tha ONLY Black actor who cud play BP'!! But Hollyweird is trying 2 make that xcuse of recasting BUT if u giv sum otha Black actors a chance or even if it's a new upand cuming name I'M SURE he's out there👍🏾Plus tha fact if we're keeping it real: How many A-Class major Black Superheroes do we hav anyway??? Chadman was a GREAT actor no doubt but it's not tha end of tha 🌍 becuz of his passing as it relates 2 a movie!! And I'm close 2 positive along w/many othas.. I like to see tchalla offspring in the sequel movie be a lead role as grown up to fight for wakanda.
Loved C.B. in the role, Im glad they're choosing to continue the seris, im sure C.B. would be delighted if a new, unknown black actor (male or female) to put on the Black Panther Suit.. Best news if heard for a while.
I will be so glad when it comes out 😆😉🐱
It would be dope if they brought back Michael B Jordan in sort of a redemption type of deal
@Adonis Hardaway Was he really a villain though? It all depends on the perspective. King T'Chacka could be looked at as the villain if that's the case for orphaning Killmonger and leaving him in America to fend for himself.
So are the Wakandans who fought against T’Challa under Killmonger’s orders villains too?
@Adonis Hardaway BS. They were not thrown in prison. They were acting under the King’s order. A king who was fairly appointed after defeating T’Challa. We’re gonna agree to disagree because now you’re just making shit up lmao
They will he's so well liked
@@1cjoseph11 But still Killmonger wanted to give vibranium weapons to African Americans so they can fight the heirarchy or some shit
I look forward to it!!!
Imma be disappointed and pissed if Marvel kill's T'challa off screen
What if he dies but they don't show his death? Like an intro similar to part one explaining how we arrive to the current situation. Even before Chadwick Boseman's death Black Panther 2 would need to explain who was Black Panther while he and his sister was gone because of Thanos snap; Infinity War and Endgame was a 5 yr gap; so that mean T'Challa was not king for 5yrs when he came back.
Same
It may be better to do that then to try doing some bad CGI on another actor to show the death scene. But even something short made from clips from the other films might be a better choice. No way to know really until they do it.
@@WickedPrince3D I remember that when Black Panther came out that it was said that they had about 4 hrs of footage for the movie; but, had to edit it to make it a 2hr movie.
@@OjukwuIsaac I think that's fairly common for most movies, but yes, I bet there's plenty of footage they could splice together if needed.
I'm calling this now, the character Tchalla will show up in a cg suit that will contain his soul in suit of vibranium combined light or dark energy. The Goddess Bass and another celestial can make this happen. But you never see his face and Marvel will alter his voice for the film. That would be amazing to see!

I just hope & pray the MCU does not mess this up. As an avid comic book fan I was disapointed the story of black panther only had one movie leading up to endgame. Don't get me wrong but in the comics Wakanda tech was the tech that saved Steve Rogers numerous times & assisted in dealing with Avengers level threats more than Stark tech. I believe 2016 was a series where he easily sought of the Hulk without Hulkbuster armour & eventually built a suit that would stop any Hulk. Age of Ultron another wasted oppertunity a few years back Black panther teamed up with only Hulk & Task master to give Ultron a bloody nose. The list can go on & on since the first release of T'Challa that he was one of the most inteligent & strongest heroes in Marvel. Given time in the infinity saga he would have destroyed Thanos. That was my gripe with the MCU you have a Superman type guy who stands for what is right & you give him one movie. They should make this right & not go about eternals & this that & the other. Enough griping.
Film Fans wanted to change T'challa, not comic book fans. I will not watch Black Panther without T'challa.
Would you rather have Letitia who played Black Panthers sister be the next Black pnather ro another guy
@Adonis Hardaway What will anothe rguy playing Black Panther or Letitia?
Same for me. This movie will be lame
I understand your position. No one can replace Boseman, no one can replace T'challa. It would be a devastating disaster. You can't improve on perfection. However Wakanda' s story needs to be told.
They have to stay true to the comic. They can recast. It's incredibly sad that Bozeman died. Actors and actresses are recast for superheroes all the time. The thing is most of the old actors are now stepping down from their characters. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) for a few.
I just hate that we will not see a T'Challa and storm story plot
It would be great if they brought Elba Idris in as T'Chala's long lost brother too.
yes indeed
They honestly go two directions here. 1. They can put Chadwicks death in BP2 and say that T’Challa died in a war for Wakanda and then his sister becomes the new BP and becomes the queen of Wakanda. 2. They can recast him. And I feel like that’s what Chadwick would want, some one to recast him and move on.
Recasting wont work. Especially in situations like this. The first one was everything and the second will be overly compared and deemed not as good. That's just how it goes. Like the stars tv show Spartacus the actor in the first season or couple of seasons died of cancer the actor that took over did a good job but the show just wasn't the same
@@dav87libradall so what should have happened to Spartacus show? They should have canceled it? That would have been stupid. The character was needed, so recast was the only option. Same with T'challa.

Chadwick cannot be replace as the Black Panther...no one! I hope MCU can do a great movie sequel in honor of chadwick boseman without recasting him by using CGI as black panther...we know how the power of technology today.
I think the boy on the basketball court should be the next Black Panther as a surprise being Killmonger's son.
Black Panther is not one person. T'Challa's dad was Black Panther and in the comics Shuri will be next after T'Challa. That is why T'Challa had to fight to keep the Black Panther title. It is no disrespect to Chadwick to move on. I am sure he would not want Black Panther franchise to end because of his death. People are being selfish to want that.

T'Challa story SHOULD go on, I dont understand why they think "Honoring" Chadwhick by killing off the character he worked so hard to make a lovable character. Its strange that they willing to also kill off his legacy by "honoring" him which makes no sense. Heath leadger passes away after an AMAZING joker performance but WB didnt care, the character was reborn multiple twice in cinema, where is his "honor"? IDK i dont like the idea of taking the KING of Wakanda out of the equation re opening that wound even more reminding us that not only did the actor die...but so did the King in the fictional story as well.
I agree they should recast T'Challa. Chadwhick was just the guy who played The Black Panther. He was not the black panther. The show must go on.
Omg! You took the thoughts right out of my tired head.
Nytellem...exactly. All they need to do *right now* is find a charismatic actor to take over the part, hell if James bond AND Batman can have multiple actors, the same can apply to other Marvel characters, it's all about WHO can pull it off.
His sister takes over anyways thats natural progression. A third could have his heir maybe but fr can we have at least ONE movie with a FEMALE LEAD AS BP?
How bout a queen fam?
There is a recast for t’challa
He needs to be recasted and the storyline maintained. Yes, he did a great job in this role, but it's not uncommon for characters to be recasted. We are on our 3rd actor for spiderman, 4 or more for batman, 4 for superman.... and so on.
Exactly
Ummm they fear that they won't find anyone of the caliber. because they used alot of star power in the first one. They would have to chance it on a no name they not doing that. That's alot of money to spend and waste. the first one made a billion. Who ever fill that role as T challa would have to be the actor of the century. They had no clue they had a gold mine. This time. They not going to play.
I don't think there is a bigger Black Panther fan than me. However I do not believe the Black Panther character of T' Chula should end with Boseman Chadwick.
@@Nopegrvht Yes and everybody was like "Toby McGuire" was the best Spiderman, UNTIL Tom Holland came on the scene! Bro, they've opened the "Multiverse" in the MCU. That was on purpose to recast didn't superheroes (What if, WandaVision started the process) for different storylines to work. Now they can bring in different Thors, X-Mens, or whatever MCU superheroes they want. That was a brilliant strategy! Even recast T-Challa from a different universe!
I refuse to watch black panther until there's a male black panther.
Chad was a beast, but I would keep Mike b Jordan to keep playing the role after all he was good as bad black panther he was also his brother r cousin should have em survive pick up where last movie left off, but after hearing his cousin death moves him to take his place 💯
They gotta find a replacement but I’m really not feeling his sister as the replacement like in the comic. I wish somehow they preserved Michael b Jordan body an saying they were able to put t challa mind inside his body an he would be black panther cause he really is the best fit.
I agree!! What a huge nod to Mr Bozeman!!
While the character of T'Challa won't be recast, with the advent of the multiverse, there will undoubtedly be other dimensional iterations of King T'Challa who exist outside of the main MCU timeline/dimension; perhaps one of these versions of T'Challa is somehow swept into the main MCU dimension/universe (away from their own universe) via Dr. Strange's multiple (but unintentional) portal openings during Spider-Man No WY Home; perhaps upon arriving, he realizes he's not in his own universe but Wakanda in both universes are identical in almost the same way, with the only exception being this version of T'Challa (a bit different in appearance, etc.), possesses the very same aire, nobility, ethics & heart as the MCU's original T'Challa, and due to him not being able to return to his own universe, may be accepted by the elders of MCU's main universe's Wakanda as it's king, continuing the legacy of T'Challa throughout Wakanda. Or perhaps the mantle of the Black Panther can be "shared" amongst some of Wakanda's most noble warriors and not relegated to just one person, which opens up the possibility for the Black Panther title to be utilized when necessary by a male or female. Honestly, it will indeed be quite a consideration and chore to continue the storyline of Wakanda without Chadwick Boseman, as he was one of a kind and is irreplaceable. But I'm quite certain Ryan Coogler is very much up to the task of formulating exactly how to continue this amazing universe.

How would the new black panther get his/her powers? There is no more of the Heart-Shaped Herb infused with vibranium. Maybe his *Shuri* will be able to recreate the heart-shaped herb by infusing vibranium into new fruit or directly into the human body. She does after all seems to be smarter than Tony and Bruce with his 7 PhDs. *Shuri* (scans vision's infinity stone) - *"The structure's polymorphic"* *Bruce* - *"Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially"* *Shuri* - *"Why didn't you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?"* *Bruce* - *"Becuzzzz...... we didn't think of it"* *Shuri* - *"I'm sure you did your best"*
The argument also for why she SHOULD be the new BP
@@comingsn2519 Black Panther can't be a woman.
Stunning and brave..
Make an animated short showing what happened and have his sister take the role after
It is already in the comics that Shuri becomes Black Panther. Sharing should be next in the movie.

whoa...i can't wait for the sequel to come out. I will be waiting....me and my 3 girls.
Hello dear how are you doing today nice meeting you here hope you replied back so I know you seen this 💋
Just want to be your friend😊
@@harrisonmurphy9965 lovely comment here how are you doing Murphy
Can’t wait
Awesome😍
Marvel's going have recast someone for the role because of movie timelines
I want to see Killmonger become Black Panther then after Killmonger, I want to see Shuri taking the mantle so she has time to grow as a character.
Nah
Killmonger died
Like a redemption arc and then a passing the torch arc?
@@kamisenin671 lol and he can comeback just as fast. 😂
@@bw6138 Lol kind of 😂
Whenever his dad died . He actually died as well but clone or android was put in or some alien like thing ..just like agent of shield and finally it gave out his body and all the marvels were shocked that was not the reall black panther and then it shows a an alien like, android, clone black panther . It shoes a back story of why and how it was done . Just like how iron man's death was felt with
I want to see Leticia Wright as the Black Panther. She has right to her opinion and that part.
Recast T'challa
If you’re covering marvel learn the names of those you discuss lol.
Kevin FIGG,Terrence Howdie,OKOII 😂😂😂✋ Its such a shame to listen to the characters name from him!
I couldn't help but notice that over and overrrrr lol 🤣😆
Thats what happens when creators don't give the narators enough materials, these voice over artists are very busy so they do not have time to go look everything up, they book out 30-40 min of their day, read the script and send the audio file to the creator to use
At this point ... does it even matter?

Wakanda forever 🙌🙌
Lance Gross could be a possible idea for a supporting role. Stay creative!
Marvel’s first major mistake. The comic book community wants this role recast. Period! I liked Chad but even his own brother wants the role recast with a male. Not supporting a woman Black Panther, diminishing a strong Black male. You can Keep this one and Ryan Coogler should know better.
See yes because marvel recast so many our beloved marvel characters but now they don’t want to all of a sudden they literally done so much
Following the comics his sister became black panther along with his cousin kilmonger brought back to life
@@DaGodDon Oh so its cool to Bring Kilmonger back but you can't continue with T'Challa would just be horrible 😕 😐
@@kuntriboi7414 do you even know the comic book version? Kilmonger was resurrected in the comics and shuri briefly became black panther after Dr Doom nearly killed T'Challa. What they should do is move forward in the timeliness and introduce white tiger

Getting some of the most well known Hollywood figures’ name wrong is hilarious
Chad weeeeek
Without Chadwick Boseman...There IS NO Black Panther 2 (Sequel). Just Sayin’
In the comics his sister takes over...soooo yea
@@comingsn2519 The Narrator Actually Says That. Never Was a Fan Of BP Or Read His Comics. BTW What I Meant By That Is FIGURATIVELY Speaking It Wouldn’t Be The Same w/Out Him...
"Kevin Feej" 😂
This dude doesn’t get anybody’s name correct.🤦🏾♂️
I forgot Terrance Hardy was replaced by Don Chaddwick.
@Isaiah Telfair You can't actually be that fuckin' stupid....can you bruh? No wonder comedians are getting cancelled left n right. No one understands jokes anymore.
Love, respect and miss Chadwick! That said, they should have recast the role! We need strong black male role models even in make believe! Marvel shouldn't of listened to the bandwagon fans who called for no recasting of the role! ✊🏾
Hi
Its Mr Chadwick..Lol
Rip Chadwick
