MVDP, Narvaez, what a fight! What a race! Congrats Pidcock! Thanks from Brazil.
Quality of the highlights really good this year 👏👏👏
Rob Hatch, my favorite commentator, good to hear you again.
Van der poel has won my respect
How about Narvaez?
It was to early for him to go for breakaway,,,if he join the chaser for sure he will the race ...he's to strong in sprint...but he was out of gas.....
He already had it
You mean he had not already?
@@denbatt He already had my respect for everything he does
Mads👍🏻Good job dude 💪🏼😘
Verry nice performance by Mathieu van der Poel 💪🏼
Nice to see Pidcock doing well!
Is he the cx dude?
@@0815236 lol yea
It's been a while since I saw Ineos had a good result in a sprint.
@@tudidingsapparel7197 ikr 😂😂
Nicer to see the Danes doing well 🇩🇰😉
Sådan Mads P 👏👏🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
mvdp another level💝
Mads P 💪
Mads P ❤️🇩🇰🥂 CHAMP
How bout Tom. Solid ride🤙🏽
another bangin race!
Tom Pidcock! Second cobble classic as a senior! On the podium! So glad he knows he’s good! He looked very disappointed as he crossed the line. Bodes very well for his future!
@@richcrompton6891 I think you're overhyping him, I've seen this before where riders had a really good first part of their career but then people put pressure on them and they just vanish, just let him do his own thing.
@@slahudeenhussain5297 He certainly doesn't need me to hype him up! He's super confident in his abilities. No pressure coming from me at all. There is a whole host of young talent out there. The future looks very bright for cycling
Håber Mads tager den igen🔥🔥
Hold up how are some in an aero tuck?
Rule implementation at the first of April
We will miss you aero tuck :(
Vdp is a big guy
Iam guessing the wind that MVDP breaks for his rather small fellow escapé is much more then the other way around
ya...this guys was back
Trentin never gonna beat Mads p again 👀
Mads P wins thanks to two other Danes who caught the front group. 😊
Kasper is extremely good! DQT threw the wrong rocks at catching the breakaway
It wasn't DQT who caught the break, it was the danish national team 🤷♂️
Can someone explain to me why Van der Poel attended this race? I thought he rode at the UAE Tour? I am confused
They had a corona infection in their staff and got banned from the uae tour. Alpecin fenix decided to let him race only KBK and not both races at the opening weekend
pulled out of the uae tour after stage one, because there was a case of covid in his team he was negativ so he could race
Thanks dudes 👏
1:22 I thought that was banned now the aero tuck?
Surprised me too, don’t know...
shhhhh
Not yet, will be banned from first of April
The ban starts on april 1st.
@@rischardgrmn7259 what a joke
On the full coverage it looked like mvdp pulled up and stopped after they were caught, close to the end. Why was that?
He was gassed, i think he would've won that sprint.

How tall is vander poel?
1.84
I thought they banned the top tube position?
April
Dunno why MVDP seemed to throw it all away by flying high too early 🤷♂️
He is making these smaller races training days for strade Bianci. If he wins it is epic! But now he has done some good preparations for the goals he has. Like the binc bank tour last year.
You only get so many chances to roll the dice.. these are usually won by breakaways and you don't want to miss the chance to make the selection. Sometimes you make the right choice, sometimes not
1. he follows his intuition, despite what is the more "smart move" 2. he is easily bored in these races 3. he uses smaller races as a trainingday
VDP is the only guy who wants to race. Others are just hanging on his wheel. It's a little bit of shame. 😔
Honestly, if you were in a break with him and you took equal pulls your coach would probably have some choice words for you. You have to be strategic.
@@chavonuevo You shouldnt give equal pulls but you should definitely work because even if you lose to MVDP you get a top 5 and that would be amazing for any rider in that breakaway
Trentin two top 10 in two days
@@frondantrieb top effort by both
MvdP would've won if he rode for Quickstep
Why is Pedersen still wearing rainbow on the collar, is that okay for former world champ?
Yes, it’s normal for former world champs to have the rainbow stripes on their collar and sleeves. The current world champion has the entire jersey with the rainbows on though.
Yes, as an honour to their previous world champion status, all world champions have the privilege to wear rainbow sleeves and collar for the remainder of their careers.
Pidcock 💪
MvdP = world class everything except tactics.
You sir have just made a stupid comment. If that breakaway had held it would have been a definite win for van der pol. Yes, it’s risky, but that’s the nature of the sport.
@@Foster_B IF. IF. He routinely goes out from super far out and gets bailed out by his incredible talent/legs. He also gets routinely beaten by "weaker" riders with better tactics. You don't really seem to understand the tactical points of cycling. He is my favorite rider. I think he could become the greatest one day rider of all time, if he didn't only have 1 mode.
mrm95 valid point
Completely disagree, when you're literally one of the most physically gifted/strongest riders in the bunch, going on the offensive and forcing others to try and keep pace IS the tactic. Remco and Alaphilippe do the same thing for the same reasons and they've all won a lot as a result. During Amstel Gold, if MVDP hadn't done the "untactical" thing and dragged the entire chase group back to the leaders in that race, no one else would've/could've and his chance of winning would've vanished... which scenario is dumber then? Emptying your tank trying to win and knowing you left it all out there or sitting in the group and racing for 4th place because you don't want to risk looking foolish if it doesn't work out? Of course his way of racing won't work every time, no one has a fool proof game plan. He and guys like Alaphilippe do the sport wonders by racing aggressively, opposed to the calculated Team Sky tactics of old, which were smart, but also boring as hell to viewers.
Andrew Davidson valid point
Arrêtez votre comédie avec vos masques qui ne servent a rien et laissez respirer les coureurs!!! honteux que les instances cyclistes et les clubs se plient et se soumettent a cette volonté absurde de ces gouvernements!!
