  • Mairis Briedis had a trainer, Sandis Kleins, after the fight with Usyk, they broke up due to the fact that Briedis was under enormous stress and overtraining. When Briedis fought Marco Huk, he broke his own rib in the fight with his own kick, and this was already a strong sign that he was overtrained.

  • Maris bredis is a beast ,still fighting at 39 . Maris gave Usyk a very close fight ! Opetia was well ahead in the first fight , and bredis came back strong in the later rounds , two great fighters ! Opetia must be the favourite!

The coach forced me to run up and down the mountain where the temperature was constantly changing, and this also led to illness. Briedis was sick for 2 weeks. We, Latvia, are a small country, we did not yet have such professionals as Briedis and Bolotnik, and the coaches themselves sometimes experimented.
