Subscribe here ➤goo.gl/2tM0Yd A low-altitude go around at Dubai Intl due to an unstable approach in the gigantic Airbus A380! Enjoy a spectacular approach into Dubai after a flight from Bangkok, while moments before we touch down on runway 30L the pilots abort the landing; listen to the engines roaring at TOGA before thrust is reduced to the soft go-around setting. Watch out for other aircraft, in particular 5 other A380s next to the runway and other aircraft taking off on the parallel runway! Listen to the captain's passenger announcement explaining his decision for going around while enjoying a view from the A380's tail-mounted camera, before attempting another approach and landing on the same runway.

Just A380s everywhere in this video!!! Awesome!!
A380 wonderland!
Thrilling video
Extra !
Bonus for me 😎
Such power, such quiet engines! Well executed go-around. Picked up a hint of South African accent for the Captain?
Indeed, although the initial roar caught me by surprise! Such a cool plane to fly on.
You are spot on about the accent my friend
1:06 i can see the other emirates planes down there
That’s right!
TOGA is go around thrust - below TOGA is either MCT or CLB.
Correct.
@@greatflyer_aviationin your video description, you mentioned the engines spooling to TOGA then being “reduced to go around thrust”. As I commented, TOGA is go around thrust.
@@onlytruth2661It now says “soft go around”, which is an airbus thing. So that’s correct
@@RyanZ225_PCsoft go around is not an Airbus thrust setting. It’s TOGA FLEX / MCT (MCT available in air, flex on ground when set) CLB IDLE Soft go around is not a power setting. At thrust reduction the pilots go from TOGA to CLB
@@onlytruth2661 MAN GA SOFT is a thrust mode. Look at DSC-22_30-80-20 on the FCOM. It says: The soft go-around thrust mode engages if all the following conditions are applicable when the flight crew sets the thrust levers to TOGA, then to the FLX-MCT detent during the go-around: -All engines are operative -The slats/flaps are extended -The aircraft is below the go-around thrust reduction altitude, and below 16 000 ft -The aircraft is in flight and not performing a touch and go.
