Fun fact: Kai cried because back then he didn't want to sing Wolf, he wanted EXO to sing Growl first but Lee Sooman said that an impactful performance was more important so they ended up realeasing Wolf first. I personally love this song, this was the first EXO song i listened to and always gives me good memories lol

Such a denigrated masterpiece. Wolf can be a hit or miss on a lot of people but it still is a gem, I love it
I love the fact that this song album, XOXO release in 2013 become recognizable for record breaker as one million seller artist after nearly 12 years at that time and also EXO being the first SM artist to reach one million sales. Also Aaron, you need to react to Growl, their repackage track for this album.
EXO wasn't the first SM group to sale over 1M copies. H.O.T (the first kpop boy group from SM) was the first SM group to sale over 1M copies.

This is ICONIC. The hairstyles match well to their age back then because they were in their early 20's and the cheesy lyrics OMG. Not a lot of people like this song (this original track) but i say this is a production and vocal masterpiece. This is the era when i got into EXO and then Kpop. Although I heard Mama when they debuted and that is also a vocal and production greatness.

Yes, it's hard to take Wolf's MV seriously with its strange shots and elements (Including Baekhyun's hairstyle, to this day I laugh at him and DO's hat lol) Now you must see the live performance now (Tokyo Dome)! I am one of those who believes that Wolf is not a song for everyone and although I did not like it at first, following the advice of some friends I saw the live performance and that changed my perspective. Now I realize how far ahead EXO was for its time. Wolf is truly a super underrated art 🛐
The silhouette choreograph at the beginning is THE TREE OF LIFE which originated from their debut song MAMA(origin of their storyline concept) as well as the MOON plays a huge part of their concept as well, they sing about it in most of their bside tracks and eclipse are shown in most of their mvs. And the traditional instrumental used at the beginning is like what Kai did with peaches in 2021 and what Lay did with his entire LOTUS album in 2020 😍

If you notice carefully, you will understand what I say. EXO's songs are 90% of their voices are 10% of the music. They sing throughout the song and perfectly while other groups 90% of the music is so EXO are perfect since their debut

At first, I also laughed at this song but after that when I heard them singing this live, how they presented this story is incredible. I looked at the lyrics and I fell in love with they way they are telling that story, I was imagining it in my head. In the story " In first verse, they found a beautiful woman and want to eat her but one of them is wondering if something is wrong with him, he is losing his appetite, he has fallen for her beauty. In second verse, Others are like haha look she is in fear but that one wolf is telling her don't be scared, I am special, I love you. In the third verse, he is telling her ' I am in trouble, I can't quit you, I can't have you If you'll say I will change myself for you'. In the last chorus he is saying ' can't deny this feeling, I have fallen into it' and others are shouting "bite her, She is just human". Imagine if they would have picturize this love story in this video song. .
