  • Flying is a way to get there, as is crawling over broken glass. Taking the train, dining at a table and sleeping in a bed, are a part of the experience .

  • Great video. I have travelled on "The Canadian'" 25 times since 1964 (both ways). About 2000 or so I went all the way from Vancouver to Halifax & that year they were trying out a once a week train from Halifax to Sydney,NS that included a Park car. It went to Sydney 1 day & returned the next. Discontinued after only 2 or 3 yrs as I recall. The Park cars & most of the cars on The Canadian were built in 1954 & still operate after 60+ years. BTW original artwork from the "Group of Seven" painters was hung on the wall in the bar under the dome in Park cars & they allowed smoking in the early years. I have never been on the Renasance cars.
