Most op MCs have a tragic backstory or they were just regular people in their past lives. But he's so different. The man is completely insane. In his past life he died while admiring the magic that killed him.
I wonder if it'll be shown in a flashback what the scenario was which led up to the MC being killed by that group of magicians who mocked him for being weak and a commoner. Was a duel or challenge instigated between the two parties? Did those higher rank magicians want to just make an example out of him? Maybe it'll get covered, maybe not, but I'd still like to know (without spoilers)
The fighting animation in this anime has NO RIGHT to be this amazing. It’s actually really good.

@@SexyBeamShooter Actually, according to some rumors and a short pilot that was found (supposedly), there was going to be a animated show before 2020 (when exactly, I don't know) but the idea was discarded since it would "ruin the continuity of the series" (how would it "ruin" the continuity, who knows, Kingdom Hearts' continuity is already quite messy).

I like the way they animated this. Often in fighting scenes, anime just do a kinda blur of movements and hit sounds. In this you can actually see some techniques being used, not just too people trying to out-muscle each other.

I'm rly suprised by this anime. The first ep has rly good animation- which easily switches to the cute-chibi look, the voice actors especially of Grim are rly awesome and the MC is chill af.
I love the sound of the swords hitting each other.
