  • Very good video. It shows a lot of work and great equipment set-up. I like all the sluice boxes together making a "long tom" plus the battery operated water supply. Carot on the gold? I would guess about 22 or 23 carot. The smaller the flakes the higher the carot. Nice.

    • Thanks man! Yeah, I am about to make the sluices even longer :) The gold here in is super fine and has very high purity, about 22-23 I think is correct, but don't nail me down on it :D

    • Hey! Thanks :) Yeah the best gold is on the top, after high water or heavy rainfall you can see black sand on the surface, we only go for these spots! Regards

  • A piece of advice, change the power cables of the pump, place cables with a minimum 4mm2 section because with that length you have a considerable voltage drop and the pump does not perform sufficiently. Greetings from Girona, Catalonia

    • Uff, noch mehr tragen :D Meistens ist man schon komplett fertig, wenn die Batterien leer sind, daher ist da schon ok ohne! Die Idee ist aber nicht schlecht um noch länger laufen zu können! Beste Grüße

  • Got in to some real fine flower gold once, screened pretty fine and made a box that flared out. Then layed felt down, when water ran over it, it stood up and caught the finest gold ever. Panned out what we could then used mercury in a tumbler. This is a nice set up for sure.

  • This is awesome! If I can ask how long does it take to find this much gold there? There is a mountain range near where I grew up in Montana which is popular for finding gold, also ive panned in a creek in the Rockies and I spent hours and I had about 2.5 gallons (9.4L) of black sand, because I was only visiting I didn’t have time to go through the sand to see how much gold was contained in it, my relatives said they would, I don’t know if they ever did, I was always curious if anything came out of it, it’s a area known for gold.

    • Hey man! We mainly mine 2-3h till the battery runs out. We have a lot of black sand here too, it is the best indicator for fine gold here. If you see black spots in the the sand here it is basically a gold guarantee. If you are too lazy to pan the sand, you can find a way to wash it in a smaller sluice or maybe a miller table. Regards

  • Been walking my dog along the Rhein for years, never thought of looking for gold along it lol If I'm honest I wouldn't know where to start or how to, or why this video is on my recommended page but actually it's really interesting and nice to watch, id love to try but I think ill not be too good at it but hey, Who knows, maybe I'll be the next gold mining queen, (or not hehe) Nice video!

    • @@gerardvriend729 Motorpump is allowed too, but too noisy for us. 12V is more relaxing. Both allowed. Rhine has other rules than the regular creek or stream somewhere in the woods.

    • Hey man! Haha, yeah may not much, but it is beneficial as some kind of reverse riffle. The water flow is a little interrupted in the top part of the mats. Other good thing is you can see if the ground is good. Sometimes depends on the weather and water level you cannot see much black sand on the top of the river bank. On other days you can see big black spots. Best regards

Ich werde nicht den Fehler machen und auch am Rhein nach Gold suchen.....obwohl.....wenn ich so darüber nachdenke....ich besuche am nächsten Wochenden einen alten Schulfreund, der an einem Ort am Rhein lebt. Ich kann ihn ja mal fragen, ob wir nicht auch mal nach Gold suchen wollen. Evtl. schauen wir dann mal bei Euch vorbei. :-))

    • Danke! Also so in den 2-3 Stunden in denen wir waschen, machen wir vielleicht 2-3 cleanouts. Je nach Gefühl und wenn man schon Gold in den untersten Rinnen sieht. Für ein Hobby braucht man kein Gewerbeschein. Beste Grüße

  • nice highbanker, just need more water flow :) i am using battery power for mine as well but i dont use a sluice i made a highbanker for on top of my gold cube. never lose fines now

    • Hey man! Nice idea with the gold cube. I thin if i would run two hoes separate I would increase my water flow. I use a Y adapter, but there is not really more water, maybe 10% increase only. Will work on it! Regards

    • @@GoldMiningGermany just 2 pumps with a tee or a Y pvc piece that uses one hose. more pressure that way. i will be going to my gold claim in about 3 weeks then will be making some videos of what i made for the gold cube. just adding to it now and finishing it up. will run dirt as fast as you can shovel. making a water turbine for power as well since i have a noce creek through the claim. nice gold there :) in quesnel BC canada

    • A questão é de onde vem o ouro? da praia ou arredores? tem que vir dos arredores; porque desce e não sube y vocé pergunta. E eu acho que é um rio e não uma praia, olha as pedras redondas e nesse caso o ouro é levado pela água.

  • Ihr hättet den schwarzen Schmodder am Anfang(min.1.03) auch mitnehmen sollen,der ganz unten quasi schon weggespült war oder den du am Rand der Rinne abgestreift hast(min.1.34)da war garantiert auch Gold drin

    • Schon so oft getestet, in dem Schwarzen Sand ist so gut wie nichts mehr drin. Habe Eimerweise davon daheim und es mehrfach getestet. Der Verlust ist so minimal, dass es sich nicht lohnt dem Aufwand gegenüber. Grüße

    • Hey! Habe die Matten für ein how to Video schon da, Rest kommt bald, wollte auch Teileliste mit Preisen und technischer Zeichnung beilegen. Mit dem Teller waschen, dazu gibt es ein paar gute Videos schon hier auf KZhead und Kurse geben wir nicht, wenn du aus der Gegend kommst, dann kannst du gerne mal mitmachen, aber sonst machen wir sowas in der Regel nicht!   • Mann oh Mann ! Was für einen mechanischen, körperlichen und Zeit intensiven Aufwand um am Schluss etwa 1 Gramm Gold dabei zu Erzielen mit einen Wert von ca. 48.- Eur. Da bleibe ich doch lieber bei meinen Sondeln wo man mit etwas Glück dabei Sachen ausbuddeln kann im Wert von einiger 100.- Eur. evtl. auch mehr !

    • Naja, es geht uns hier nicht um den Wert von dem Gold, sondern mehr um den Spaß dabei. Wenn euch beim Sondeln der Wert der Funde wichtig ist, weiß ich warum man das nicht überall darf ;) Ich glaube das ist nicht das richtige Mindset um sowas zu tun, da sollte man doch lieber arbeiten gehen oder so! Grüße

Historische wichtige Funde dabei gebe ich immer ab. 4. Ich komme aus Bayern wo bis auf weniger Ausnahmen Sondeln erlaubt ist.

    • Also der Rhein ist eine befahrene Wasserstraße, da sind die Gesetze etwas anders ausgelegt, dass man hier keine Genehmigung benötigt. Beste grüsse

    • Hey! Das sind einfache Magneten. Diese länglichen sind Magnetleisten für Werkzeug. Die sind recht günstig und kann man einfach mit der Metallsäge schneiden. Grüße!

    • Depends on your location and the local law "how" you can mine your area like rivers, creeks etc. Next you check out if there are any gold sources which could washed out over the years. You basically start with a pan and test the ground, look out for heavy minerals. Best regards and have fun looking for gold. There is more gold out there than you think ;)

  • Very interesting. I have done some good panning in California, but never serious. Except for the sun stroke, that was serious;-) Is it hard to get a claim and a permit? I would have thought German regulations would be difficult.
