EASY 1.20 AUTOMATIC WITHER SKELETON FARM TUTORIAL in Minecraft Bedrock (MCPE/Xbox/PS4/Switch/PC)
This Minecraft Bedrock wither skeleton farm is simple and efficient. It allows you to easily get a lot of coal, bones, and wither skeleton skulls. It also gives you xp. Just want to sat thanks - I've built a few of your farms - they all work well, they're cheap and easy to build and your directions are excellent for making the builds as easy as possible.
You are my go-to guy for Minecraft farms! Whenever I’m looking to make a farm, you’re the first guy I check for a tutorial!
I built this on my survival realm. I got rid of the lava underneath and added the item sorter from your gold farm to the bottom it. I just made it sort into 5 chests for wither skulls, coal, bones, arrows and blaze rods. It works great. Awesome tutorial 👍
How much charcoal does the farm produce?
Had the same idea and did the same thing but I’m still struggling to get 1 spawn period
@@jeremyharrell2208 I did this a couple weeks ago. As long as the player is 24-30 blocks away one will spawn. I also added a lava block for non stackable items.

This still works great! I missed the lava somehow at first so once I put that in I had no issues. I’m going to set up another trident killer at another spot right behind this one so it works faster. People seem to forget that the chance of dropping wither skulls is so low as it is so this farm is not going to be quick with just one spawn spot! But it works great!

I just the previous version of the farm which by looks of it has the same stop just the killing method is an excellent improvement. But I had to remove the glass blocks as no wither skeletons would spawn. What i had to do was put a Hooper clock to trigger 2 pistons so every minute it clear the spawning area. I dont know if I am doing but just in case anyone else have issues. Though great videos i use lots of your farms in my realm.

if you want, replace the spawn spot with dirt and a wither rose in order to prevent other mobs from spawning; just in case you only wanted Wither skeletons
When I do that nothing spawns. Any help?
@@drkjosh-_- Remove the glass above it and they will spawn. Also place buttons at the chute you want them to fall in, because they will think it's a solid block they can walk on. It sometimes might take a while, but sooner or later they will walk in. (it works better anyways, because I had mostly blazes spawning when building this JC farm..)
@@drkjosh-_-edit: Wither skeletons are scared of wolves, ao you could try to scare them into the chute that way.

@@drkjosh-_- The wolf tactic seems to be bugged on my game, it doesnt scare the wither skeleton..
Its worth noting that blazes tend to stay at the level of the player so the afk platform should be at the same level as the trident killer for best efficiency. Also, magma cubes can affect the cap and get stuck in the walls. You can add powdered snow in the walls in several places and add another layer of blocks to kill the large ones and make them fall into the killer.

A tip for building any farms in the Nether, invisibility potion works really really well! Because these farms usually extend to a big exposed area that is frequent with ghast, so you wouldn't have to worry getting blown off! This works for other mobs too (just don't open any chest near a piglin). But beware, magma cubes can still hurt you despite them not being able to see you, endermen can still get agrod if you look at them, Hoglins can smell you if you get too close, and lastly at a very close range blaze CAN see you and will try to melee you to death. And remember, you are truly invisible only when you're not wearing any armor, so safety is still crucial! (Bringing fire resistance potion is highly recommended) And also, being invisible doesn't mean they won't notice you if you hit any of them-

Would it be possible to make similar chutes under the other spawn spots, and use lava like water in other farms to push them into the main one with the trident blender? I love your other farms, but i've seen concerns of item rates, and i'm wondering if this would be any improvement. Thanks!
I dunno about the lava trick working but I was thinking trapping a piglin as bait in the right spot could lure the wither skeletons to rush towards it and fall into the chute and kill chamber. I haven't tested this in bedrock though but I believe it could work
if so, name tag the piglin as it will despawn, or give it gold armor
Best wither skeleton i have found that works the only problem i ran into was my ladder to go down went into lava so had some fire resistance and night vision potions so I could feel the lava in lol
I completed it yesterday with item sorter and It works perfectly

If you can’t find a sunflower then you can use a brewing stand, it’s singular potion always points east as well. Good luck

No you don't have to. But I recommend it because you could save slabs that are used in this farm
I usually perfer to use all observers instead of red stone torches. So i have a way inside and I don’t have to worry about my trident despawning accidentally on my realm. Since observers don’t trigger the door to get in to constantly open and close like a torch would.
I love your farms! they always work great, i have a question about the trident killer my trident disappeared from inside the killer so i had to shoot another one...is there a reason why the trident would disappear or is that just a glitch thing???
turn off ur trident killer if you leave the area
There's a bug. The trident is most likely near the minecart if it did not despawn already.
It’s probably directly next to the minecart because I have had that happen to me many times. Also, see if the minecart is in the collection chest, the trident can break the minecart if it gets to it.

4:49 you could also look at your coordinates to find south: Z going positive is south

If you place a torch above your head in a a space with all 4 sides, like pillaring up, it will always attach to the south side
Love the farm! Didn't have any sunflowers so I used coordinates to try and figure out the south side but nothing was spawning and I was getting worried until I figured out I had the wrong spawn spots and I had to rebuild half the farm. Lesson learned - Don't try and cut corners go get a damn sunflower!

You can use a pumpkin, its stem always points north west.

I bet this farm works a lot better in another biome. I built it in a basalt biome and slabbed plenty enough. But slabs dont stop magma cubes from spawning lol. But even with that the farm works pretty well

love the step by step. only issue i have is the wither are not spawning i double checked where they spawn mutil times but only getting blaze and regale skeletons and pig men ever 3 mins

Followed to the T, I’ve built your other wither farms but in other versions obv. I built this one and I slabbed 100x100 around my kill chamber. Not one thing has spawned in the past 30mins and I’ve switched from peaceful to hard about 5 times. Still can’t get it to work even tho before I had wither skelly spawning in the glass panes
Make sure you placed blocks on the correct side of the spawn spot. Also, try setting your world simulation distance to 4 chunks.

Hey Jason could you make a video about how to swap out the tridents in your trident killers between different players on Realms? The reason I ask is that if the person who threw the triden't isn't currently on the realm, XP can't be gathered from the farm.

@@Scubadubado911 yo! I did a few things. First, I swapped the blocks under the glass in the spawn spot with dirt and added wither roses to each. Then, I broke those two glass blocks in the spawner. I also had to mess with how far away from the spawn spot I was. I'd move one single block down or back until I was getting wither skeletons dropping. Once they were spawning, I noticed a lot of them were dying on impact. To prevent them from dying, I added another layer of signs on the opposite side from the other signs we had already put in and added lava on those as well. I had to add blocks to be able to hold the lava just like the other side. I hope it works! The main thing is I HAD TO BE FURTHER AWAY from the spawn spot. Dig a block or two deeper and turn your sound up so you can hear if they're dropping down Edit: be super careful when you dig down to get further away from the spawn spot. I had to block quite a bit of lava out

Jc can I have ur advice on something ur a far more experienced farm builder than me, I made a huge piglin farm, 4 portals and 4 sorters all connected, now the issue is the xp, I can’t stand in between all 4 sorters and collect all 4 at once I can at most collect 2 at a time is there a way to collect all 4 sources a different way? I tried using a Minecart to push myself between all 4 but I don’t collect all the xp and it lags, ik xp can travel through blocks sometimes so is there a way to take advantage of that and set myself in a certain place to collect it all?
xp can slide across blue ice, so if you can make some sort of transporter for the xp itself it should work
You don't need 4 different sorters. Just connect all 4 portals into the same trident killer. Saves so much time

Usually don’t comment on this stuff but i see people having trouble. It still works in 1.20 July 25th so try to stay motivated! Takes a while in survival. I haven’t gotten any skulls yet tho but we shall see!!

@@CruppzEar hmm that’s weird! when you picked your spawn point for them did you see wither skeletons? Usually switching between difficulties helps too i think!(:
So can someone tell me how to only spawn withers? Blazes are destroying my farm as when the spawn the won't go through the lava and it traps the Skellys above them so the never drop. Any ideas? So I got it to spawn only withers with the occasional zombie piglin. Do what the guy in the comments said about replacing the solid blocks used as the spawn point with dirt, remove the 2 glass blocks, plant 2 wither roses, and place 4 trap doors so they will walk off.

Yes, but make sure the farm has slabs on it. Doubt this would be easier than slabs though... (Additionally, your simulation distance also dictates how far you need to dig. 50 blocks is assuming your simulation distance is on 4)
If you’re preventing fall damage… what’s the point of the long drop chamber? It’d be nice to shorten the drop chamber and add a item sorting system.
U need to be a certain distance to have them spawn
could always add a bubblevator to take items back up high enough to sort them, thats what i did
@@reubengriffiths getting ready to build tonight. I’m going to have the kill chamber higher up attached to a filter and lava block for non stackable items. You need to be 24-30 blocks away for them to spawn. If you have a trident killer the kill chamber can be higher up giving you more room for additional mechanics. Right?

What's everyone averaging ? I'm getting around 5 skulls per hour. All blocks slabbed, simulation distance, hard mode. I found that standing in a specific spot can impact drops. I stand 3 blocks behind the bottom of the ladder to get the chest access and 2 blocks to the right.
They aren’t spawning for me any help?
@@hollispoppy8214 well it feels like being drunk trying to explain because this farm is so finicky. I move in the underground area to different places and have different luck with spawns. That really all I can say

I'm having issues with this one, I'm hardly getting any spawns coming down... I've followed this completely and slabbed etc everywhere within 70 blocks but no luck. Been AFK for around 30 mins and got a big one Wither Skeleton Head. Anyone got any suggestions please?

Yes
That half slab to get XP isn't needed... Simply put a full block there, any it doesn't matter. stand right next to any of the walls on the level you would stand with the slab and the XP will be collected. This also reduces any potential for mobs to see you, due to lag ect...
