Sony sent us an AIBO ERS-1000 robot dog! Always wanted one as a kid & now Jon & I get some time to review it! Galaxy S10e cameras FILMED THIS! We were BLOWN AWAY by the AIBO! He is so realistic that we forgot he wasn't real! Check him out! He develops and matures over time to become a unique dog, a product of his experiences!

  • So aibo has improved the movements dramatically since its first intro. Can’t wait for the version that becomes so lifelike that there becomes a whole movement owning one. Maybe in 20 years?

  • Fun fact from an animal nurse: real dogs and cats have been studied to like pink the best too! It's suspected it's because it's the color they can see the brightest with their dulled down color vision!

    • @@destiny8967 think about the cost of an actual pet though. Vaccinations/medical costs, food, harness, toys, bed, and the actual cost of the pet. A one time payment of 3000 for kids who can't have an actual pet really isnt that bad

I was referring to kids who literally cannot have a pet, whether it be due to allergies or other factors and how this would be a great alternative. Yes it's expensive, and doesnt have the same type of emotional response, but I think it's a good idea

    • @@aldnn350 yeah I agree it can be good but there are also other pets with no allergies and hypoallergenic dogs. Plus if your child has a mental disorder a hypoallergenic therapy dog would be great for them to build those social interactions better. I think if this robot dog was cheaper it would be a good toy but since it is so expensive it is clearly trying to be a dog replacement which i think yes it can be good for some who just dont have time to take care of a dog.

    • I dont think it would be able to be quicker, dogs had devolped fast instincts for a long time while this is programmed to try to just not fall over, its not for speed.

    • Not really, you need to give things a long time to settle and for people to relax and get to the acceptance part of guilt. Believe me it's happened to my family (for both cat and dog (different years apart)), it takes a long time, for the cat it was about a year. For our dog, it is still going.

I'd just wait till they are ready for a real dog and then get a real one that can give MUCH more love and doesn't cost that much especially dogs who don't have homes maybe if the robot dog can live as long as a normal dog then it might be worth it but i just think its best to get a real one its just not the same experience i'd literally die for my dog thats how much i love him but i'd never die for a robot with no soul
