While being an idol is not my dream and I am more drawn to the background of the idol industry I love seeing the audition process because I want to open my own company. I am saving all my money, taking classes on music production, I want to go to college to stu music business and intern in Korea to learn more and I am studying Korean as we speak. I would also say that it was my dream to become an idol because when I was little I did children’s choir and praised danced at my church an.. it made me feel good, happy, connected with my emotions and the only reason i said connected with my emotions is cause I’m that type of person who is hard to express myself to other people and the only way I can express them is through drawing art, dancing, singing an some of the time write about how I’m feeling. But, when it came to praise dance they would always tell us you need to show emotions you can’t just be emotionless while performing cause it’s just gonna show that you’re not taking it seriously and I would really take that to heart along with being very determined on showing that dancing is my passion also to show that I want it. Lastly, i was the type of girl who love listening to Michael Jackson and old school hip hop and R&B because I grew up listing to them. And my only reason on wanting to become an idol is to make the world a better place, bringing people together again and harmony, a world not filling with anger, violence, killing, hatred towards each other all around the world when god told us to love one another and that’s my reason for wanting to be a K-pop idol. I love to help people, uplift them, put a smile on their face, kind towards all people no matter where they came, what they looked like none of that so I have faith that when I become part of group that we can change the world together❤️🩹🌎 love each other for who we are as our own persona, protect each other from world prejudice. So for those of you that want to become K-pop idol never give up on your dreams, work hard and train each an everyday to you feel like you’re ready to share your passion to the world☺️😁🥰👍🏻. I really want to audition, music is everything for me, i love singing and dancing, and being an idol involves both and even more skills, i really think i'll be really happy if i pass, but i don't know if i am fully ready to all of the challenges that involves being an idol, and i am very young (born in dec. 2010), so i will really think about it, but your videos have been so helpful for me and have really motivated me, thank you!

broo i think I’ll make this one but idk, bc i tried out for jellyfish entertainment and i passed the 1st round, but my parents didn’t want me to do it. this was last year and i was only 13 but i got a vocal instructor and I’ve been working with her for six months and I can hit more soprano notes. I’m 14 now, (born in oct 2009) so i think I’ll try out. Thank you, Irene.

Honestly don’t throw your childhood away and sell your soul like that. Your parents are right to stop you. Wait until you’ve at least got a high school education or are like 16 because you’re naive and young and they will easily be able to manipulate you and promise you things but then disappoint you. You’re a baby, you’ve said you have a vocal coach, this is good and imo you should try again when you’re a bit older (wait a year or 2) and since you are already making progress, you’ll pass again, this time with more experience, more life experience, though you’re still a child but a few years really does mature you, and will be better prepared. Use this time and your teacher to figure out more about your voice and try and master vocal techniques because the more experienced you are, the more talented you’re likely to be compared to the other trainees, the less you have to worry about vocal training and the more you can focus on dancing well and stage presence. Be clever about this and don’t rush into it because your aim is to debut, not be traded around and be left as a trainee, so many people rush into it and then burn out or quit because their companies didn’t want to debut them. yep even if they are in the same company, they are their own. so u can apply for basically all of the sub branches of hybe.

Thank you so so much Irene! I really want to audition for ADOR or KOZ and am going to ask my mom after my cheer practice! I‘ve been asking my mom for a while now and she’s been really close to saying yes she’s always changing her reasons to not let me audition tho. The first time I asked was to audition for I-land 2 but she said no because of my brothers who can’t cook for themselves and my dad can’t take care of them because of work. The second time I asked was for JYP or any sub label under HYBE and she said no because I said no one would be supervising me while in the dorm. Any tips to help her say yes??? edit: i asked again and my mom said no. she said no because she’s not giving someone else the liability and responsibility of me. should i ask again and does anyone have some tips to help her say yes that applies to why she said no?
Try to convince her like that's you talent and that make you happy and if you get selected you future will be bright and you can give your family a dream life. You can say that how proud your parents would be when you will be world famous and your relatives would use your name as good example Hope it help ❤

well considering you’re a cheerleader i think there’s no reason why she should say no but if it’s because of overprotective instincts then maybe it’s because of that
Maybe just audition and see if you get in Then try to convince her
A lot of people don’t ask and just audition and see if you can actually pass the first round. If you don’t then she’s not going to be hesitant to watch you do it again and possibly fail again because she won’t want to see you stressed and unhappy over not passing, if you just audition and you manage to pass the first audition, you can go tell her and it’ll be more of a reason for her to allow you to fly to Korea and audition because you’ve already passed so she would be in the way of your future dreams, manipulate your parents 101 😉😉 it’s going to be far harder to deny you of your dream when your passing results are staring her in the face
But for my parents kpop is just a nonsense they said watch dream like pilot, doctor etc this kpop is nothing i just want to say him dream is not big or small dreams is your imagination ut hey never understand that 💔😞😞😞😞😞😞

Don’t ask ppl what songs and dances they do because everyone is different and you need to find the song types that suit your voice best and the dancing themes that suit your dancing style best. I have auditioned for a bunch of places, mainly out of boredom, and the songs I choose are very musical because I am trained in musical theatre and classical music, these songs aren’t for beginners. The dances I choose are quite technical because I’m a trained dancer too so it really depends on you and what your strengths are, play on your strengths with these auditions! I pass but again, I do it because I’m bored and want to feel something lmao I’m going to do another audition and will sing orbit by hwasa and changgwi as a backup but I haven’t chosen a dance. Also, always audition with the mindset you’re going to pass and prepare several songs and dances so you don’t have to rush learning them for your second and third auditions:)

I might be young and don't expose my age but I'm born late 2012, it's a dream for me to be K-pop idol. I really wanna audition at 13-15 but for now I'm just gonna sit back and relax and especially focus on school. I'd recommend something that shows off your skills more, baddie choreo is a bit simple
actually i just realised that we only have to do singing and not dancing with it for ador. am actually applying for singing as i suck at dancing 🥲usually its like 2 singing video and one dancing video thats why i was confused.
