The fact that this theory is better than the actual "story" of the real game is sad.

They have 2 kids a girl and a boy. The boy is also really upset about his mother's death, and in anger takes it out on his sister. The kids are playing and end up on the roof (I have no idea how) and the boy accidentally shoves his sister to hard, and she falls off the roof and dies. The Neighbor buries his daughter and not wanted to lose his son (his only family left) and locks him in the basement. Unfortunately because the neighbor has lost his mind the son starves to death. That's the background and lore that I found, pretty dark stuff.

Haven't been a Hello Neighbor fan for a while, but I'm rewatching these for the Game Theory released as the Final 10!
Here’s an interesting consideration - what if the whole “breaking into the house” thing is a metaphor? Let’s say that the house is symbolic of the neighbor’s mind, and then you, as the player, have noticed that something is deeply wrong with it (the neighbor’s general creepiness). So you are trying to get the neighbor to tell you what’s wrong by asking him questions that lead him to talk to you without realising. Every time he catches you in the game emulates each time he realises what you are doing and gets you to go away. That’s why he doesn’t bury you outright straight away, only when you reach the door (what’s bothering him) does he seal you off forever (burying you). Probably not true, but still, thought it was an interesting idea!
When you strike a deal with lucifer, then there is undoubtedly something wrong with your mind. Edit: with that i don't mean you're not mentally okay when you sign a deal with lucifer, im implying that if you do, it will certainly mess with your mind.

That’s actually the early player model. It reused the neighbors body and animations, but had a different head. It was first in the prototype to pre-alpha and it wasn’t used in alpha 1 but it was in the files.

Yes but these theories are based one games, which we are never given all the information, real crimes would have way more evidence and less leaps to other sources that are not directly quoted to be related, thus if the fbi did want him, he would do awesome since he would actually be able connect evidence so well
