    • Seriously. I guess she thought as the "bread-winner" who was having an affair that she would have to pay alimony and/or child support depending on custody. Guessing she was already mentally unstable. Her earlier relationships ending without her knowing why probably meant she was the problem. But damn choosing murder over divorce is just mind boggling especially if there's no abuse going on. What a horrible way to go too.

      @holdyourfire74@holdyourfire742 ай бұрын
    • In this case it sounds like she was the bread winner. Where the woman earns more and the husband is stay at home she ends up paying alimony etc. Also since he was the primary caregiver of the child he may have had the majority access. This may well have been done so she could have 100% custody and not have to give him any of her assets. These reasons, children and money, are often motivators in these sorts of crimes.

    • It breaks my heart every time when a wife pretends to care for her husband while secretly concocting a plan to end his life using the tools of her profession, profession which should be used to heal, not to kill. This makes her more evil than one could possibly imagine because she used the substance which is usually used for good to perform something truly evil. America, land of the free and that of the great where emotions matter more than reason itself, for forgo all reason and embrace the emotions and irrational impulses all ye who enter here. I am all for leaving the abusive marriage but this guy was not abusive, he was a good man who paid the ultimate price for being a good man. He was just the kind of guy who did not like to go out. Just because he did not like to go out, that does not mean that he was suffering from depression. Depression is a symptom, not an illness and not every time someone feels sad means that he or she are depressed. It is just pure nonsense and an excuse for the lazy people. She was a party girl and that itself is a huge red flag and she found herself a good man after going through the plethora of bad boys and jerks who in her mind probably abused her and are a reason for her sadness when in reality, her sadness is the product of her bad decisions and emotional instability. A good man for a girl like her is always a temporary solution because to girls like her a good man becomes boring very quickly. On top of all that, by going back to college I am sure that she cheated on him more than once there. That conclusion is based on her profile and on the pattern of her behaviour. That is how things go unfortunately. Good guys always finish up last and party girls are always looking for that next fix or a shot of adrenaline which their lifestyle provided. Good man is OK for her in a short run but in a long run he is going to become boring for her and that is a fact. If she is driven solely by emotions and lack of reason, things like these will happen, for they are inevitable. Emotions over reason lead to divorce, murder and all sorts of other things and it is sad that a good man lost his life like this and a child of theirs gets scarred for the rest of its life. I say that she got what she deserved with that life sentence, although I would have asked for a death penalty because the way she killed a person is truly diabolical and her affair should be added as an extra weight to her charge because she committed a crime with that as well. This is a sad story and another life ended and the other lives were destroyed because of idiotic people and their selfish desires. This world has embraced degeneracy for a long time now, reason has been abandoned and people live out their animalistic impulses and childish emotions. What could possibly go wrong with all of that. . .?

    • Remember America home of the free is the only reason you're allowed to even make this comment. Keep in mind most of the time women are the victims. Women are brutalized and murdered or systematically beat down both physically and emotionally by men and nobody feels they should receive the death penalty. Your comment is a perfect illustration of thinking with one's emotioms. She did not commit a capital offense therefore not eligible to be executed by the state of MD. I guess in your utopia Eve should have been executed. Depression is not a symptom. It is a bona fide illness/disease. You are correct in saying her husband wasn't depressed; no he wasnt. He check out of their marriage long ago and it was a grand gesture that was a little too late. I certainly do not under any circumstances condone taking the life of any living being unless it is absolutely necessary but lets not put this woman on trial because she is a woman that harmed a man that was in love with her. She is a woman that took the life of another human being with no cause. That's it. That's where it ends. Using tools of ones profession to commit a murder is not a capital offense. Captial Murder laws are not written based on out-dated draconian beliefs. Otherwise the majority of men would have capital offenses. Men can cheat on their wives and murder them because they're bored with her or her body has changed after having children, or whatever idiotic reason based on emotion he comes up with And I guess that is ok. You are correct about one thing. Just reading your comment we do clearly embrace degeneracy and reason is abandoned. I just hope you are neither married nor have daughters.

She can cry me a river, her husband is dead because of her selfish and evil act. Any inconvenience she suffers in prison pales in comparison. (The reason why GoT is banned in the prison is funny though… not because it's full of stories of moral corruption as you might suspect but because it contains maps and maps could help someone escape a prison in the state's logic … even if they're of fictional countries 😄.)

The fact it was such a horrible way of killing him only added a tiny bit more. Even if it had been a quick, painless death, knowing it was your spouse, the person closest to you in your life!-- makes it a horror. A man doesn't mind dying FOR his wife... but BY his wife?

I'm in the middle of splitting from my husband right now and while I am thoroughly checked out, have been for the last year, if he made even half this much of an effort, HALF this much of a loving gesture...I'm not sure it would fix everything, but it certainly would lead me to reconsider! How could she? How could ANYONE? Just the heartless, cruelty of it. A younger man in the marines...and you think HE'S going to show you HALF as much devotion?! Bet the relationship ended the minute she was found guilty. She killed a treasure of a man. Men who put in that much effort to make things right aren't a dime a dozen. What an awful loss...God rest him, truly.

The Exes knew exactly what was good for them, when you do not know things or people that are good for you, you are always the one paying the Price for it with your own mental wellbeing and sometimes physical wellbeing. Most of times, when we're in any kind of relationship with people that are Not good for us, all we experience is emotional abuse / trauma & we simply learn from it. But some are just unlucky like Steve, she didn't abuse & dump him, but K1lled him with no chances for him to learn from his mistake and choose better people for himself. Women can obviously be just as toxic as toxic men can be. I want to see children with whichever parent is safer for them to be around. If you’re a single parent, fighting for your kids against an abusive or sick ex I think it takes so much strength and love for your child. For men and women fighting for custody can be emotionally exhausting and expensive. You’re doing the best you can for your children and I hope each of you feel proud of yourself for going through such challenging times for the betterment of your children. • I quite literally fled with nothing but 4 children under 10 after 12 years of every sort of abusive. Sober he was a wonderful man, I wouldn’t have married him otherwise, but I was too young and naïve to understand the hereditary disease of addiction. I had to plan our getaway in secret and on my own, because I wouldn’t have gotten out alive, or with our children. 18 months after our separation he broke an AVO, and nearly killed me, and I divorced him and automatically got full custody because I was working and sole provider for the kids . 3 years later he sobered up a bit, got a job and rented a house. My children only have one Dad, and it was important to me that they knew they had two parents who loved them very much. Gradually every second weekend we would meet at an open public place on Friday afternoon for him to pick them up, and on Sunday for me to take them back. Then a week of every school holidays. Leaving him made him a better father, because he had to build a proper relationship with them. We co-parented like this for 20 years, and for civility, I never spoke a word to him, or against him. It was when we became grandparents for the first time in 2014 that brought the thaw. We know spend Christmas and birthdays together as a family. He was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, and has become frail and bedridden , and I have been caring for him..I did promise for better and worse, in sickness and in health, til death do we part..and even tho the marriage didn’t work out, much to my sorrow, no one wants their marriage to fail..it seems I keep my promises lol. Adults have to adult, one way or another, and put the little lives that they brought into the world first and foremost. I cannot imagine the evil in this woman to sabotage her husband’s genuine attempt to make things work..or the thoughtlessness in depriving her child of their father. Now that child has lost two parents and will be traumatised for life. So senseless.

      @virginiaviola5097@virginiaviola50972 ай бұрын
    • One of the reasons men historically didn’t get custody is because they didn’t look after their kids during the marriage, they left everything to the mother. I guess more men are being more involved with their kids, like more than just playing with them, so that’s good.

And you should never have the word "daughter" and "hooked" right next to each other. Kinda cringe. But in all reality, I hope they have a happy marriage. No sarcasm. It's a tough gig nowadays and most don't see a need to finish it out.
