    • Absolutely not. Ben won his max contract. He doesn't care NBA - basketball. Also he was injured. People like you think Ben loves NBA like LeBron and cries over it. Lol. He is happy with his supermax contract and rested easy. How the fuck "career is ruined" when you had $177,243,360 contract? You guys are delusion. Just stfu.

  • It ultimately was a short blip, but there was about a five-year stretch where there was a real debate as to whether Chris Paul or Deron Williams was the best point guard in the NBA. From 2008 to 2012, Williams averaged 19.5 PPG and 10.2 APG and guided the Jazz on some decent playoff runs. Williams was even a major contributor to the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Gold Medal teams. For whatever reason, Williams career really fell off once he turned 29 and he was out of the NBA before he turned 33 years old. So, while he clearly lost the battle with Chris Paul for Point God, he was still a star in the league for half a decade.

But thinking a bit more about it, I think the real reason he wasn't on here is because he is still an active player who may in theory overcome his own predicament (as unlikely as it looks at this time). Harris was recently waived and likely out of the league, Thomas is out of the league for 2 years, and Deron is retired.

  • Ngl, the NBA is not a league for unidimensional players anymore. After Howard and Rondo downfall in 2012-2014, players not only need to be good/great in one department, they need to be average or good in others. You can't be a good shotblocker and slow with your feet. You can't be a great three point shooter and average in every other offensive aspect of the game. Joe Harris is a good NBA role player, but with or without the injuries, if he has an off shooting night, he is not contributing to winning.

  • I have watched a lot of your videos Andy, this one hurt for some reason. Maybe cause I was aware of all of these situations and these player's careers. Harris is the only one I was not as up on. I vaguely remember him not playing well in that series, but I forgot or did not know how bad it really was. I knew how good he was before and how not good he was after lol. IT was amazing for that one season, especially at that size. Then you had the death of his sister in that playoff series too. Deron was my pick over CP3 back in the day. I remember when he got traded to the Nets and my roommate in college was a Nets fan. He had a couple of decent seasons but I remember that 2017 finals. Unplayable is a perfect way to say it, but they had to play him because that was how slim that Cavs team was. It is like he forgot how to play basketball.

Maybe the first set of punishments are fines and then they start taking away draft picks. I know the NHL does have a little bit of something in place (forgot exactly how the rules are) but if they want to make a point across on player safety, they really need to get a system in place for where the players aren’t being pushed too far, otherwise history is going to repeat itself over and over again.
