I just realised that I forgot to include Darragh’s Soccer Aid final chase as his chaser speed was also 14, but I currently haven’t found that final! UPDATE: Here’s the link: kzhead.info/sun/ob2zeNl_gHmnaGg/bejne.html
Mark getting 27 with 3 pushbacks is crazy!
Back in the early series' Bradley use to read the questions out as though he'd had a gram of beek.
@@jamesmcstein6758 no the questions were shorter and easier back then
@@blue_red_screen now they're like a paragraph every 5 questions
Paul gets 27 with 4 pushbacks
They are some clever clever guys
Is Bradley said yes rather then corrrrrrrrrrect then they would have been caught 😂
He says correct to the contestants too so it's equal.
@@Undisputed_King feels like contestants dont have to answer X questions in a row though, unless its for their amount of money earned thats not shown
@@4NG3LxD3M0N in the final chase they do and that is the target the chases go for. the contestants get 1 point per contestant plus 1 point for each question answered
I think he's pre-reading the next question so he doesn't stumble over his words when reading, likely saves time and makes it easier for whoever he's reading to as it comes out clearer.
Definitely does it on purpose and switches to "yes" when the timer is low
You know it's serious when Paul starts leaning forward
Angela & Neil's Chase is the best ever chase in the history of The Chase, I will never forget the epicness of the performance they gave and Mark too, what a chase he almost caught them, Angela's intelligence is worth a chaser seat 100%.
If she looked more like a chaser she would have become one 100%

@@JimmyBoosterCrate fat and stocky 😂
If she was a chaser she should be called the evil granny
Well they got 2 wrong and 2 players missing so they could’ve got an extra 4 steps 4 points so then that’d be 28 questions answered right for the whole team so which then takes them upto 32
That first part was phenomenal. What a chase.
Getting 30 correct in a round is spectacular, and still only missed out by a photo finish!
I love Darraghs calmness
He may not be the strongest these days, but I find Shaun pretty calm too
This was Beast’s highest speed, he had 4.4 seconds per questions here. A bit of an unfair comparison but he had 4 seconds in his infamous 3 question win
I bet mark was gutted that "deer" vs. "reindeer" was the reason he couldn't get 28 😂
At 1:31..IF Mark had got this answer correct he would have caught these two. 😮😊👍🏻
Oooh that was a nasty miss
If He didn't Said it was helicopter if He ONLY Said helicopter He would probably got it
@@ITVgameshows he's filling his thinking time with words. this isn't true
I think I got an aneurysm from reading the comments. How can't people understand the concept of something being filmed before Sudan split into two countries...?
3:23.. Both Mark and Paul ALMOST caught 28 steps,if not for crucial errors.😉🤔
Paul coulda got 28 if he got the last question quicker he’s a doctor after all
That first Chaser is a proper beast as this type of stuff
That’s why he’s called The Beast! (Apart from the fact that his last name translates as “The Beast” in English

Yeah, this was first aired in 2010.
makes more sense i was gonna say algeria is the biggest lmao
@@Patrick-tb9diI literally had to google it because I thought I was going crazy
bro the contestants look so shook. especially in the first one
Bradley asks the contestants questions like he's having a conversation with them, then turns to auctioneer speeds when asking the chasers questions
It’s part of the balancing act, how do you fairly balance the extra 1-4 they get automatically and pushbacks
@@animefan7424by the fact that it’s usually a bunch of randoms vs professional quizzers
It’s not part of the balancing act! The contestants are penalised as they have to press a buzzer and then wait for their name to be called out before they answer. It all adds up and they received far fewer questions. That’s why individual contestants who are good are usually favourites to win. The game is made to look like it favours the contestants but it’s not.
@@TheFartGod69randoms who thought they were good enough to enter the show. You don’t go on this show if you are not any good at quizzing
Sinnerman probably had the best chance to catch 28, had a good couple seconds to think about that last one
What about Mark’s 28 Step Final?
A medical question too for the Doctor lol
I love the way it's always the medical question that stumps Paul, and it was just the difference between him winning.
My mind now: Corrrrrrrrrrrrect!
Brad asks chaser his questions a lot quicker. He makes out he's on the contestants side lol
Well, the contestants are amateurs. If he spoke as fast for the contestants as professional quizzes, people might actually say he is making it harder for them.
The host adapts to the answerers. If they respond as fast as the Chasers, he reads faster.

they desered more than 8 grand after that. bloody hell
Haha, Jim Carrey played the titled role in a different film, "Bruce Almighty".
He set him up with that
18 questions per minute 💀
The way I shouted “MUSE!” the second Brad said “Matt Bellamy” was probably not good for my throat 😅
1:34 did he confuse muscovado for Moscato?
19:35 that was a LONG second!
I wouldn’t trust the clock on screen as it’s edited on, it was probably slightly ahead. Who knows?
the timer stops as soon as the chaser says the first syllable of the answer
1:04 A fart after you fallen down the stairs
Vixen never fails
Couldn’t help but notice that for Paul’s chance Bradley said the final question a lot slower than the previous questions

Paul Sinha doesn't know what jaggery is...? That surprised me.
Brad reads questions quicker in the older episodes lol
Yeah, I’m not sure why they stopped this, it made it more interesting. Although, perhaps it did give an unfair advantage to the Chasers.
If teams of two gave the Chasers a target of 28 nowadays, I'd be very surprised

@@gameshowclips I'm with you on the technicalities... Just curious of the precedent regarding pronunciation on 'the chase, and other game shows...
Sounds nitpicking to me
“I think it’s New York.” Why? Why do you think that? Nothing on the east coast is called San anything, that’s a west coast thing. Is New York known for famous prisons? No. I hate when people pluck an answer out of thin air that’s a completely wrong and say that they “think” it’s the answer. It’s a complete guess and you should say that, otherwise you’re wrongly influencing the others.
what do these numbers mean, what is the speed measured in?
Speed is measured in questions per minute (q/m) E.g. in the first final, Mark answered a total of 36 questions (including both correct and incorrect answers) in the whole 2 minutes, which is an average of 18 per minute.
@@gameshowclipsi see thanks for explaining !

The tiny prize amounts should be considerd offensive. If you win the top prize on a game show, it should be enough to buy, or at least put a massive down payment on, a house. There are many things the UK/EU get right that the US does not, but game show prize amounts are not one of them!
Agreed. This is by far the most popular Game Show here and it's the hardest to win, and when they do win it's probably not even worth the trip to London and a day off work!
Most game shows in the UK are played on the UK's BBC which is government/taxpayer funded. So you can't be too extravagant. Other game shows often have to rely on the 1-900 numbers and their SMS equivalents for money.
@@retchedI wouldn't say, 'most'. This is on ITV and they get a lot from advertising. It's a lot more than Pointless, which is BBC.
@@billyfox6368 Yup that was my fault for saying that. Many game shows... is what I should've said. I forgot that ITV is separate.
