  • Songs like Silent Screams is one huge reason why I would love Rob Halford to do the Halford band again sometime in the near future. The Resurrection album is a MASTERPIECE!!

  • I remember hearing Rob was returning to Metal. I bought Resurrection and it blew my mind. Halford was one band that was on another level. He surrounded himself with kickass musicians and hard hitting lyrics and riffs. I’m 54 and there will never be another Rob Halford. In Metal there are greats and even legends. Only one Metal God. Powerful!🔥

    • Agree. From the Resurrection-album this must be the best song. A thing that I like with this live song is that they didn´t speed the song up. That is a thing that can be a bit common playing live. That they speeding up the song. That is just trashing everything. This version is still having the heaviness over it.

Also: I'm SO glad I saw him on this tour! It was the last tour when he managed to hit most of the very demanding highnotes on Priest's older catalouge. When I saw him back in priest again in '04 he was a changed man and sang.. differently. I still love him of course but he will never be able to sing like he did on that tour.

Resurrection album is another MASTERPIECE. In my opinion it is the best album Rob Halford has ever done outside of Judas Priest. Silent Screams in my opinion is as amazing as Judas Priest songs like Beyond The Realms Of Death, Victim Of Changes, Genocide, Sinner, and other great Judas Priest songs. Crucible is also a phenomenal album.

  • Resurrection in my opinion is one of the best albums that Rob Halford has ever done in everything he has ever done in all bands he was in. I was 21 years old when Resurrection came out and I loved it so much when I first listened to it and still do. It was such a great year to be a Heavy Metal fan because Iron Maiden had also reunited with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith and put out Brave New World also. Halford got to open up for both Queensryche and Iron Maiden and it was PHENOMENAL!!!! I was so happy that Rob Halford returned to Heavy Metal music because I did not care for his other project TWO at all. I just could not get into industrial Rock or Industrial Heavy Metal at all. This song Silent Screams is one of my favorites that Rob Halford has ever done. I hope that he decides one day to put back together his Halford band because these songs need to be heard again on a live tour.

  • After reading Rob's book Confess, and seeing the emotion in this song almost brought me to tears. Certainly an emotional journey but nice to know there was a Happy Ending in returning to Priest, eh Rob. I can almost imagine who you are looking to up there. Awesome song right up there with the best of JP

    • Read Confess too. Couldn't agree more with what you say Brett. His book lead me to look up songs he produced and sang in Halford. And after having found this live performance from Rio in 2001 of Silent scream i have seen this exact performance every day on KZhead. Simply the best live performance of the best HM song ever.

    • I saw Priest in 91 on the Painkiller tour with Testament and Megadeth and I can still say that 28 years later that Rob is the single greatest live performer I've ever witnessed. No one can hold a candle to him. His screams made the entire Salt Palace in SLC vibrate. There's none better.
