I really love this song. Back when I came out I thought it was kind of boring and skipped it. Now though when I'm older and wiser I realize how powerful it is! Also: I'm SO glad I saw him on this tour! It was the last tour when he managed to hit most of the very demanding highnotes on Priest's older catalouge. When I saw him back in priest again in '04 he was a changed man and sang.. differently. I still love him of course but he will never be able to sing like he did on that tour.

Resurrection album is another MASTERPIECE. In my opinion it is the best album Rob Halford has ever done outside of Judas Priest. Silent Screams in my opinion is as amazing as Judas Priest songs like Beyond The Realms Of Death, Victim Of Changes, Genocide, Sinner, and other great Judas Priest songs. Crucible is also a phenomenal album.

Resurrection in my opinion is one of the best albums that Rob Halford has ever done in everything he has ever done in all bands he was in. I was 21 years old when Resurrection came out and I loved it so much when I first listened to it and still do. It was such a great year to be a Heavy Metal fan because Iron Maiden had also reunited with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith and put out Brave New World also. Halford got to open up for both Queensryche and Iron Maiden and it was PHENOMENAL!!!! I was so happy that Rob Halford returned to Heavy Metal music because I did not care for his other project TWO at all. I just could not get into industrial Rock or Industrial Heavy Metal at all. This song Silent Screams is one of my favorites that Rob Halford has ever done. I hope that he decides one day to put back together his Halford band because these songs need to be heard again on a live tour.

Rob Halford Is a God whit or without Judas Priest. He always give us the pure Metal Sound.
godfather of heavymetal. Great respect from korea.
Give us another HALFORD album please!
It aint what it used to be.
Yet another reason Rob is the King Midas of metal
Metal God.
The lyrics are fantastic ❤❤❤❤❤
The metal God cannot be stopped. Guys from that era are one of a kind
I agree 👍💯
Bobby simply nails it as always.
He was close to 60 at this concert.UNREAL
He was 50 actually.
Спасибо Роб 👋👋👋🇧🇾Гродно Беларусь Этот хит на мобиле как вызов. 💓💓💓
I discovered them today, howfuckinever I've known Judas Priest stuff well. I feel like somebody gave me a bonus year in my life
What a Masterpiece , gotta love Rob in this song
Such a dark yet soul grabbing song. And the guitarist was vocalist for damageplan!
He came back in top form, the whole band looks and sounds mean and menacing AF. Goddamnit this whole show is a treat.
I heard Rob say this is his only real autobiographical song about his life and him self.
Old-Man Parker What's it about?
alcohol probably, you should listen to 25 years, its a song he wrote, he performs stellar in this
Old-Man Parker it’s about his decision to come out of the closet about his very private life.
Before the Dawn is about losing an ex lover of his
Graywolf, that would be impossible since that song came out in 78' while his ex-lover killed himself mid 80's
HALFORD
Müssen immer diejenige, die vom Format Rob sind, sich so verhuren?!
Rob back in his vocal prime. He made great music in this period.
Роб один из лучших вокалистов в метале. Мурашки идут от этого исполнения🤘
My metal God
@Rob Halford it's wonderful meeting you as well. Priest is and has always been my favorite band
Fucking awesome! Well constructed bad ass ballad on life, yearning and battling satan!!!!!
Lol two years later and liked my own comment.
One of the best Halford´s songs, along with Painkiller, and some other gems from Defender of the Faith and British Steel.
1 of if not the best frontman ever in the world.
This performance is THE GOLD standard!
rob halford now never lost this voice :) (68 ans) 68 anno 68 years !
METAL GOD!!!!!!! FOREVER !!!!!!

Resurrection was a fucking monster album. 🔥🔥🔥
Happy Birthday Rob Halford
This is from January 2001 (not 2008). Rob still had an incredible range at this point (until 2003).

@5:23 It must be so awesome to be Halford at this moment. To bask in the reaction to the performance of the previous passage. Damn!
Best song he's ever done ever
I agree 💯❤🤘🤘❤
Halford has his special way to the lyrics that the rest just falls into METAL PLACE
Rob Halford presence on stage is simply magic. The King of Heavy Metal...........
The Metal God at his best, immense. 🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶
As man age 55 Grew up with priest.. When rob hatford passes, metal will be gone forever.... I know this is negative, but am I wrong?... From 1979 to the eighties and far beyond Rob halford undeniably the metal god of all singers.. I truly hope that rob and Dio. Just kick back and say hell yes
This song went straight from my ears right into my heart🙏Namastè Rob🤘

Any one of those guys on stage, anyone, I'm 54 not dead. Rob sounds like he was saving all of this.
No question the ultimate number one bad ass front man of any of his projects
Great song but, unfortunately, a little-known track! Masterpiece!
so true!
@@paulm.5979 unfortunately it is, I love this song
Halford's first solo was a mix of Priest and Fight. It was glorious, I still rock out War of Words very loud to let kids know what real music is
YOU ROCKED HALFORD NO 1 CAN TAKE AWAY FROM YOU
Halford is the number one
Yes definitely
I really liked Fight. That was my favorite Rob Halford project ever.
FIGHT IS AWESOME// THE GUITARIST IN STEEL PANTHER WAS THE LEAD GUITARIST IN FIGHT \~/
It's all right.. I'm just a little crazy 😀. Fight was great band!
Fight is a great band. Their album War Of Words is a MASTERPIECE!! I do also like about half of A Small Deadly Space album also. I love the band Halford more than Fight.
Rob Halford Never brought 'Halford' to Salt Lake but before that when it was 'Fight he brought fight to Salt Lake that's when I met him. Rob Halford is a Class Act
metal god as a title says it all
ROB HALFORD VOICE OF HEAVY METAL ,GOD OF METAL ,AMENUS !!!
THE SONG OF LIFE, Thank you Rob Halford
Resurrection
Thank you my Metal God
The best show of the rock in rio III! I realized my childhood dream when I saw this show!
The Metal God has spoken!!
the best solosong of rob halford
Not only is he the best Metal singer, he's aged better than any of the old Metal bands. He still has it after all these years.
TRUE!!!!
they opened for him.
I was there. In this day, January of 2001. Rock in Rio 3. Metal day. Iron Maiden + Rob Halford, and others. PERFECT DAY
When Halford wants to be a Halford Hé is unstoppable !
One of the best voices in metal...Rob always delivers
@Milwaukee Mac Repair Dreamer fucking Deceiver
Brutal
INTENSE AND POWERFUL LOVE IT... Priest was the first concert I wet to and was hooked...
LYDIA, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH MR. ROB HALFORD \~/
One of the Best metal songs ever Rob the metal god
After reading Rob's book Confess, and seeing the emotion in this song almost brought me to tears. Certainly an emotional journey but nice to know there was a Happy Ending in returning to Priest, eh Rob. I can almost imagine who you are looking to up there. Awesome song right up there with the best of JP
Read Confess too. Couldn't agree more with what you say Brett. His book lead me to look up songs he produced and sang in Halford. And after having found this live performance from Rio in 2001 of Silent scream i have seen this exact performance every day on KZhead. Simply the best live performance of the best HM song ever.
Absolutly
One of the greatest showman of our time! He has truly dedicated his life to METAL 🤘 He is just pure talent! He is second to none🤘He has truly earned the Title METAL GOD 🤘
I saw Priest in 91 on the Painkiller tour with Testament and Megadeth and I can still say that 28 years later that Rob is the single greatest live performer I've ever witnessed. No one can hold a candle to him. His screams made the entire Salt Palace in SLC vibrate. There's none better.
Rob is Heavy Metal 🤘🏻😎
YES definitely
MASTERPIECE!!
YES
Great song! Excellent performance. You can't not love Rob, he's the best!
I was there!
WOW that's awesome 👍
Rob is the most consistent metal voice ever. Just my opinion.
Loved Rob since the first time I heard him with Judas Priest when I was just a young teen. ☺
