  • This type of inning is what you wanna see as a fan. Danger on the base paths make strikeouts so much more important and increases the stakes

    • @@sportsmaster1364 And they have to know the strengths & weaknesses of their entire bullpen, plus the strengths & weaknesses of the opposing lineup, plus tendencies. And they have to be able to calm & encourage their pitchers' emotions. At any time, they're more of a coach than the manager...so managing is a breeze comparatively.

  • Why do the Red Sox these past couple of years strike me as the "team with no awareness". Duran last year completely losing sight of the ball and watching it sit on the warning track while Verdugo ran for it, now this pitcher who is supposed to be covering home plate, Reese expects him to be, he absolutely isn't and he watches the ball be tossed at him like a towel as Ramirez scores. Good grief.

  • "The catcher feels bad about that." (the throw going into LF) Catcher literally hit the bag at second. That's the most perfect throw he could have possibly done. • @@NZIGNANTI They'll always be the red face scalpers to me ❤ Seriously though, the Guardians is a terrible name. If it weren't for the Rockies, I'd say they should be the Cleveland Rocks (because everyone loves Drew Carey and PUSA). Otherwise, one look on wikipedia gives a bunch of great names just from the city's rich jazz history. How 'bout the Dukes for Duke Ellington? Or the Pops for the Cleveland Pops Orchestra? The Cabs or Cabbies for Cab Calloway? The Nobles for Noble Sissle. The Bones? The Thugs? Or the Harmonies? All for obvious reasons. The Guardians is just bad..
