Join the CSIS International Security Program for the 2024 Global Security Forum on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. As CSIS's flagship annual security conference, the Forum convenes leaders from the defense and national security communities to discuss the top security challenges facing the country and the world. The theme of the 2024 Global Security Forum is "Gathering Strength in a Gathering Storm." Speakers will address how the United States can muster its strengths to counter multiple global challenges, posture for uncertainty, and prepare U.S. forces to deter and defeat aggression.
This year's Forum will also feature conversations with senior leaders from the government, military, private sector, and think tank community.
The conference will be held at CSIS headquarters and virtually. Further details on the schedule, participants, and registration will be updated below in the leadup to the Forum in April.

Congratulations for your excellent analysis about aligning US strategy with geopolitical realities, gathering strengths, comparative and competitive advantages.!!!
While United States Policy is to compete responsibly with rival superpowers as it pursues its own interests, geopolitical tensions are increasing. In particular, we want to identify geopolitical events in which power struggles over territories cannot be resolved peacefully. Accordingly, we define Geopolitical Risk as the risk associated with wars, terrorist acts, and tensions between states that affect the normal and peaceful course of international relations. For instance, rising tensions between major powers can lead to sanctions, trade wars, and changes in regulatory environments, all of which can affect market access and the investment climate. Since the establishment of the Geopolitical Risk Index, a large number of scholars have conducted various empirical studies. World Financial Market volatility and even macroeconomic cycles are strongly influenced by geopolitical risk. Geopolitical Risk shocks are always accompanied by periods of high risk on financial markets. An Event that addressed American Strategies to deal with the geopolitical conflicts that the world is currently facing. Many thanks to the Center for Strategic & International Studies for providing this debate on American National Security.!
Excellent panel and moderator. Thanks.
I am so ready to return home to West Indies, Jamaica by 2026. These stories opened my eyes on the last 44 years legally here in the United States. Thank you so much for the peace in mind. I can leave now knowing the backstage information.
Since when are humans organizations?
Many thanks for the truth
You should really edit that students last question answer OaUT as a matter on national security
37:30. Greetings from Quincy, Massachusetts!! As someone who thinks in grunts and abstractions, I finally listened to Michelle Flournoy in some detail. No wonder we are where we are - and Ms. Flournoy has given only a thumbnail discussion, quite fluently compared to my unarticulated grunts and abstractions. If I were allowed into my office in the building that I bought 6+ years ago, and had to listen to this concept of issues past and identification of issues going forward, the meeting would last about 2 minutes. The elephant in the room remains undiscussed. FYI - 2 minutes would be longer than most these days. 41:50. “I said RT (albeit the wrong one)” doesn’t discuss the elephant.
3:51 Video starts a bit before but the talking starts here.
It’s 4:12 actually
“The winner is the one who makes the second to last (mistake)” Savielly Tartakower Churchill also reflected on the number of times “chance” decided an outcome. This should pause and scare the soul out of each person in attendance. Ours is not a righteous or moral nation. We are navigating on every man doing that which is right in their own eyes. All wars are economic. Like interest and loan rates, subsidies and tariffs, taxes, debentures, currencies, rates of exchange; armies and navies, Secret Police and CIAs are all tools used to control a marketplace. Has the US mismanaged her debt such that it must use the latter? “War is the untying with the teeth of a knot that will not yield to the tongue.” Attributed to A. Lincoln *for fun: EU would be better of Energy and Economically with a divided UKR. NATO and the IMF/WEF desire to maintain the US hegemony
Too many cooks in Hell's kitchen
All we need is one in-house kitchen. And his name is fat man or fat boy, one of the 2.
Speaking of Geo-political realities… Is any of the $60 Billion going to UKR going to fund democratic elections? Recall that Zelenskyj canceled these? Very curious in a conflict that US policy is basing its support on defending democracy and freedom.
The answer is no that would be re****ed
N the definition of freedom is not having elections if you don't want to 😗
Go suck yourself off somewhere else you irrelevant fuck.
Very good conversation! Somehow we all think that technology wins the wars. But we lose in propaganda and intelligence war (in facebook and youtube) like one to ten....
Boots on the ground wins wars.
Generally you are supposed to read before writing! Books like 'Art of war' and 'Unrestricted war' say a lot about what and why happens now. Boots on the ground is not much than XVIII century (or earlier) cliché . Don't waste our time please.
@@AMar-pn3lf your all theory and no guts
You try to fight a war on paper and see how far that gets yet. You probably don't have the guts to do what you gotta do. Boots on the ground, are you a conscientious objector?
I am not just a man! Everyone knows that but refuses to acknowledge my presence out of guilt for violating my human rights!! WHICH I HAVE TRIED TO MOVE PAST THAT! COMMON SENSE IS IF MY ENERGY DOES HAVE POWER THAT YOU WERE WILLING TO DO MAGIC ON ME
All life has purpose
Have you taken your psychiatric pills today
