Some of my favorite fighters never had the best records. It's more about how they fight. Both Diaz bros, Cowboy, Leonard Garcia, Diego Sanchez. I've never been the type to just nutride the next undefeated up and comer. All these fighters come to fight, win or lose. I respect that. Live or die by the shield. Screw point fighting. Conor just thought he could finish Dustin quick like the first time, I think he underestimated him like he did Nate in their 1st fight and paid for it. I expect the 3rd fight to be different
He put a really interesting angle on it actually, it is true that Conor wants a quick finish (I don’t think it’s cos he doesn’t want to be there) but that does cost him, he gets a bit frazzled when he doesn’t finish people. He has so many first and second round wins it worries him when it gets tricky, I don’t think he’s scared or tired or anything I just think he focuses on knockouts so much he losses the thought to buckle down and get comfortable in there, it’s weird.
