The year was 1994, it was the night after a Solar Eclipse. 12-year-old little Sarah Perry was tucked into bed when she heard the sound of her mother screaming. She didn't know it right away but she was overhearing her mother's murder. What she saw that night changed the course of her life forever.

    • The Romeo and Juliet Law actually does make this a legal relationship in most places, the age of consent applies beyond the romeo and juliet law which states people within 4 years of age are allowed to be in a relationship as they are age appropriate for each other. It is anyone older than 4 years that the age of consent law applies. They were 3 years apart, making this legal regardless of the age of consent.

I can’t imagine how hard this has been for Sarah. I picture my daughter losing me that way and it’s devastating. So sad.

Looking back at all the sacrifices she made for us makes my eyes tear up.. It's so so sad when children don't experience a peaceful, loving childhood 😢

  • Sarah is such an amazing woman to have lived through this gut wrenching level of trauma and come out so strong, educated & determined to create change. It’s so hard to break a generational cycle of domestic violence. It takes so much personal growth. I have so much respect for her. Thank you for sharing her story & her beautiful mothers story with us. I hesitated to watch this one because it involved a child & those are the ones typically I can’t stomach, but somehow this story left me feeling hope because of how the young daughter turned into such a strong powerful advocate. I have PTSD & trauma & haven’t quite made it to the other side yet & this girl has been through far more than me, as a young child & I’m a grown woman. What a beautiful legacy to her mother. Thank you K for the way you allow us to get to know the victims in these tragedies ❤

  • My first car was a 1990 BMW 325i. It was white. And a stick shift. I worked 2 summers and gave my dad $2K. He was supposed to by something at an auction, but came back with "my car". It also came with a car payment I didn't ask for. I did pay it off, but when I did, my dad refused to sign it over to me and then sold it for his own profit. Bawhaha. I'm still angry about it over 20 years later. The first car ai bought as an adult? It was 2003 Yellow, Mazda protégé 5 hatchback. Hahaha. Loved that car!

  • 36:47 when my mom had plans to go out with a friend or even just shopping and my dad thought she looked too good, he would hold my mom’s head under the sink to make her hair wet right before she was supposed to leave. There were a lot of other things and She divorced him when I was 13 and I never saw any of this as a child, thankfully. My mom and I really close and she has opened up about some of the abuse she endured and my dad’s multiple affairs that went on. She has been happily married to a wonderful man for almost 30 years now and my dad is married now as well but not happy so I guess karma sort of struck him a little bit.

It had been purchased by a woman in 1963 and she was the only owner and driver so it only had about 60,000 miles! I loved that car so so much. I really appreciate all the details that bring the victims and their families and loved ones to life in our mind’s eye💗 This is a tragic and infuriating account. The world is a better place with people like Crystal here. And her daughter! Wow! I’m thrilled she was able to make such a wonderful life. Thanks to you and Jon for your hard work. I'm getting misty eyed listening to how brutally she was killed. Listening to the 911 call and hearing that she had to walk a mile just to get help. Sarah has been through so much, the fact that she was taken in by people and they only did it for money, power, and control. I'm glad to hear that Sarah is successful in her career despite what she has been through. How heartbreaking that Gracie had dementia and passed before Sarah could tell her that the investigators had arrested the killer. I'm glad Michael was sentenced to life in prison.

And I can’t get over creators who “promise” us things about their sponsors, such as one who just did that very thing about Colon Broom. I looked into that and it’s just the same thing as Metamucil, just ten times the cost and way less proof of any effectiveness whatsoever. It just shows those creators could care less about their fans and subbies, which is pretty selfish and sad, since the fan base keeps the channels moving. • Hi Kimbyrleigha. Long time listener…first time caller! I’m familiar with this case however not in this much detail. My mother passed suddenly on 8/21/17. There was also a solar eclipse that day and it was the day my world would darken for eternity. I was listening while on my drive home from work and that part hit me like a ton of bricks! Thank goodness I was turning into my drive 😊 many thanks for the elaborate storytelling ❤

  • I watched your last video with John and really enjoyed you two covering cases together. Y’all have a great easy dynamic and look forward to more videos with you both. You’ll always be my #1 though. Haha. Y’all seem to have a very kind relationship, funny and respectful of each other which shows through in your episodes. Made it extra enjoyable to watch. ♥️

  • Girl, i love how deep you get!! Sometimes, there are a lot of people and their names to tell us the whole story. Don't change anything. You are amazing at telling the story where we understand.

  • I pray she doesn’t have blame for herself in regards to not doing anything or not telling Gracie that she knew the murderer… in truth, Gracie knows now. Maybe not while she was alive. But she knows in her passing. May she and Crystal rest in peace
