The year was 1994, it was the night after a Solar Eclipse. 12-year-old little Sarah Perry was tucked into bed when she heard the sound of her mother screaming. She didn't know it right away but she was overhearing her mother's murder. What she saw that night changed the course of her life forever.

I'm going to sign up... I've been debating, hesitating on which one is the best! Thanks for getting us such a fantastic deal! Happy Holidays. 🎄 😊😊
The Romeo and Juliet Law actually does make this a legal relationship in most places, the age of consent applies beyond the romeo and juliet law which states people within 4 years of age are allowed to be in a relationship as they are age appropriate for each other. It is anyone older than 4 years that the age of consent law applies. They were 3 years apart, making this legal regardless of the age of consent.
Where's Pickett now?
Crystal's anger about him spending all of their money at the bar is totally justified to me. There's no excuse for that when you're family is hungry at home!
pretty much all the men in this one come across so badly. So sad and scary that there are so many monsters hiding in plain sight
It’s a bummer because Grace had the same problem. Those men were bums!
That’s right! The home expenses come first!
i love how much you focus on the victims rather than having all the attention on the perpetrators ❤️
Thank you for this. It’s what I really like to do
Unlike what others do❤
Agreed
💯 She has so much respect and empathy for the victims. 😊💞💞
@@Kimbyrleighayou do an amazing job!! Definitely my favorite! You pay close attention to even the smallest of details and it really shows just how much you care.
😢 I’m a blue eyed, red head named Crystal. I am close to my daughter just as she was to Sarah. It sounded like you were explaining our relationship when my daughter was young. I can’t imagine how hard this has been for Sarah. I picture my daughter losing me that way and it’s devastating. So sad.
You are one of the best story tellers on youtube. The way you talk about the victims always bring a tear to my eye. ❤
Thank you!
💯 agree ❤️
I feel so sad and heartbroken for these children who were in the middle of these unfortunate situations. We need to put our children first, there is no man on this earth worth the pain we put our children through.
I completely agree with you.. my father passed when my mom was only 35, leaving her with 4 daughters.. she never dated or remarried because she was afraid the person wouldn't be kind to me and my sisters.. Looking back at all the sacrifices she made for us makes my eyes tear up.. It's so so sad when children don't experience a peaceful, loving childhood 😢
So much anger, rage and abuse in ONE town. We really need a nationwide abuse registry, it would probably save so many people's lives.
You tell these stories so well. Thank you for being factual.
Thank you I really do my best
I met my husband at the bar I worked at, 22 years ago. Together 21 years in February. Married 19 in August ❤
Wow so cool
I like Kimbyr's video format because there's always a resolution. Plus, she is a great story teller. I can't wait to dive into this case. My condolences to the victim(s) love one's. Thank you for your hard work Kimbyr
Awe thank you 😊
My wife was sick last week and it finally hit me a couple days ago. I’m stuck in bed with a cold lol. Which means True Crime all day 🙌🏾
Oh wow I mean that’s a good thing and a bad thing I guess right
@@Kimbyrleighathat’s how I look at it. eating soup and listening to True Crime in bed is a win for me 😁😁😁
My first car was a Chevy Nova. In Spanish, “no va”means “no go“🤣🤣🤣
Ooh…Thank you so much for this. 21.37pm in the U.K. so this is my bedtime watch. I adore your consistency and quality in all your content. I also love the empathy, kindness and respect you show to each victim when sharing their stories to the world. Much love to you and your family 🧡
I like to listen to Kimbyrleigha while I fall asleep too. I watched it last night and feel asleep like 30 mins into it and watched it again this morning and fell asleep another 30 minutes into it. I just woke up that morning nap 😆 In going to finish watching it right now. This time I won't fall asleep 😊 It's time for me to stay awake now, it's 10:12 a.m. Sunday morning 😊
Sarah is such an amazing woman to have lived through this gut wrenching level of trauma and come out so strong, educated & determined to create change. It’s so hard to break a generational cycle of domestic violence. It takes so much personal growth. I have so much respect for her. Thank you for sharing her story & her beautiful mothers story with us. I hesitated to watch this one because it involved a child & those are the ones typically I can’t stomach, but somehow this story left me feeling hope because of how the young daughter turned into such a strong powerful advocate. I have PTSD & trauma & haven’t quite made it to the other side yet & this girl has been through far more than me, as a young child & I’m a grown woman. What a beautiful legacy to her mother. Thank you K for the way you allow us to get to know the victims in these tragedies ❤
My first car was a 1990 BMW 325i. It was white. And a stick shift. I worked 2 summers and gave my dad $2K. He was supposed to by something at an auction, but came back with "my car". It also came with a car payment I didn't ask for. I did pay it off, but when I did, my dad refused to sign it over to me and then sold it for his own profit. Bawhaha. I'm still angry about it over 20 years later. The first car ai bought as an adult? It was 2003 Yellow, Mazda protégé 5 hatchback. Hahaha. Loved that car!
An evening upload from Kimbyrleigha?! Yesssss please
Yessss
My first car was a 1972 blue and white VW convertible bug with an 8 track player, lol . The car was older than I was my two best friends and I went to the thrift store and bought 8 tracks !!! It was a hunk of junk ,but we loved it,and took it everywhere. They both had newer cars in the 90s but we always took mine!! The places and stories that car held is priceless.
I started crying when I heard Sarah's 911 call that poor little girl
It's sad when people become alcoholics. It's definitely rough.
If it's off the hook in one room one cannot dial out from any room.
Just the title of this video would be life changing for a little kid! P. S. I subscribed
Oh gosh, yay! ❤ I'm a total bum today and have just been in bed snoozing. Christmas carnival tonight with my smallest 2! I'll be snuggled up listening until I have to go pick up kids from school! ❤
My heart aches for Sarah and everything she went through after losing her beautiful mother 💔 The strength Sarah has after everything she endured is inspiring!
Some videos drone on, but not Kimberleigha's! Informative and compassionate, showing how much she cares about those who've been wronged. Many viewers are catching on and subscribing!
(***UPDATE***... I'm SHOCKED that Denny is innocent🤯) I just got introduced to Denny in this story.... why does EVERY PHOTO OF HIM look like he's possessed by Satan?!!! I know already that he's the murderer, without watching in full. You can tell between normal ppl and killers 🤷🏽♀️🎯
RIP Crystal🕊️
@52:52 Omgosh 😢 this crime is heinous!!! I can't even imagine what she was going through. I'm thinking that the perpetrator is someone she knew because it was overkill. I feel so sad for her!
So sad
I hope Sarah sees your tribute to her Mother!! You are an awesome person!!❤ I'm going to check out her book also!!
Sarah's book is amazing!
YES🎉 Our girl always come through! 🤗 *Kimbyrleigha* , the amount of work you put in so we can have *accurate* , _informative_ , and lengthy videos to learn about each person's case does not go unnoticed. You are always very respectful to the victims and the victims left behind, such as their loved ones, all without sugar-coating or leaving out information. Thank you so much !!💝 On a side note - I'm always curious to know - I've been watching your videos for so long and I thought I remembered you were going to school for Death Investigations. I was just curious how they ended up turning out ???
If one phone is off the hook the rest aren’t going to work
WOW, that Theresa sounds like a winner! Give that girl a glass of water! She’s thirsty! IF someone feels the need to act, say, & do ALL the things she did, THAT relationship isn’t worth it!! The RIGHT one will make you feel loved, comfortable, & without a doubt, the ONLY person he wants to be with!
36:47 when my mom had plans to go out with a friend or even just shopping and my dad thought she looked too good, he would hold my mom’s head under the sink to make her hair wet right before she was supposed to leave. There were a lot of other things and She divorced him when I was 13 and I never saw any of this as a child, thankfully. My mom and I really close and she has opened up about some of the abuse she endured and my dad’s multiple affairs that went on. She has been happily married to a wonderful man for almost 30 years now and my dad is married now as well but not happy so I guess karma sort of struck him a little bit.
So sad for a kid so young to lose a parent
I just don’t understand why you don’t have more subscribers than you do. You are one of my favorite KZheadrs.between your main channel and your channel with John I always look forward for the days you upload. The depth of investigation you perform to tell someone’s story is above and beyond. You and Stephanie Harlowe are my go to for deep dive stories. Thank you!
I subscribed to you because you are such an sensitive caring soul and youve truly touched my soul with your story telling im new here this week😢
Sarah is amazing ❤.... God bless her!
Indeed
My first vehicle was a ‘63 Ford Thunderbird. It had a massive engine and so much power. It was just beautiful! It had been purchased by a woman in 1963 and she was the only owner and driver so it only had about 60,000 miles! I loved that car so so much. I really appreciate all the details that bring the victims and their families and loved ones to life in our mind’s eye💗 This is a tragic and infuriating account. The world is a better place with people like Crystal here. And her daughter! Wow! I’m thrilled she was able to make such a wonderful life. I’m absolutely sure her mother is proud and at peace knowing her precious child is living a better life. A life she truly deserves.
I rarely see cases from my state. Thank you for the coverage. It’s always an instant watch when I see your videos!
Thanks for watching!
I wasn't expecting a video, I'm happy to see the notification. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Kimbryleigha I hope you relax by doing something you enjoy. Thanks to you and Jon for your hard work. I'm getting misty eyed listening to how brutally she was killed. Listening to the 911 call and hearing that she had to walk a mile just to get help. Sarah has been through so much, the fact that she was taken in by people and they only did it for money, power, and control. I'm glad to hear that Sarah is successful in her career despite what she has been through. How heartbreaking that Gracie had dementia and passed before Sarah could tell her that the investigators had arrested the killer. I'm glad Michael was sentenced to life in prison.
Thank you! You too!
Yes! I didn't know that Kimbyrleigha new true crime video uploaded today! I just finished taking a nap when I saw this. I didn't receive any notification at all too! That makes me very sad. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! 😊😊😊
Totally off topic but that Red lipstick looks fabulous on you! 😍
Ive been listening to a lot of your stories all day today at work...some of thr stories is so sad and emotional
That poor girl. That’s every kids nightmare....a monster coming into your home attacking your loved one.
I think Michael’s girlfriend was trying to give a tip about her boyfriend being the prep without letting him know she snitched but the police probably thought it was nothing. She probably knew it was him because he had that big scar on him. Michael seems dangerous, she probably feared for her life too.
When you said she had 10 kids, I screamed, “ GIRL SHUT UP”!!!!
Nice addition to Friday afternoon.
Yes indeed!
❤ The only creator I have notifications set up, all other vids I will watch whenever. 😊 I don’t know how you find the time to do all of this for us, but I know I am not alone when I say you are one of the very best on this platform. Can’t wait to see Episode 5 of Darklivity! 🎉❤
You’re so sweet I keep wanting to make sure you know that we saw your super thanks and we’re so appreciative especially when we were doing IVF, it really means a lot
@@Kimbyrleigha I always see your sweet comments but I promise you, I only do it because I love your channel so so much and you are an awesome person. I love that you and Jon have an additional channel now as well, more content for us! And as far as the thanks go, it is the only thing I can do to thank you and give you something small I’m return for all that you do! I also hope other loyal fans will catch on and realize it’s a great thing to do to support a channel one loves so much. I am praying your journey goes well, any child would be so lucky to have you and Jon at their parents! 💕🥰😍
She's absolutely everything ❤️
@@rachelrae860 She really is, her channel is by far the best in this genre. There are creators with more subs as our Kimbyr but most of them seem to just love to hear themselves talk! And I can’t get over creators who “promise” us things about their sponsors, such as one who just did that very thing about Colon Broom. I looked into that and it’s just the same thing as Metamucil, just ten times the cost and way less proof of any effectiveness whatsoever. It just shows those creators could care less about their fans and subbies, which is pretty selfish and sad, since the fan base keeps the channels moving. Ok, off my soap box now, it’s just another reason among many I’m which I appreciate our Kim! ☺️☺️☺️
Same here! I think it’s because I was at the beginning of Darklivity so to speak that I HAVE to watch it as soon as I can!!
love your channel AND Darklivity!!!
Thank you so very much for the support
I remember having a land line and if it was taken off the hook for a little bit unused then it took a little bit to pick the line back up so it could be used. She a very strong girl.
5:06 Wow! I lived in Dixfield, Maine in 1971 age 12 on the Androscoggin and Web Rivers, literally- my backyard was both rivers, great trout fishing for a little girl🎉🎉🎉Thank you❤
When she talked about the violation he did…my jaw dropped
My heart aches for Sarah and all she went through at such a young age.
I always wondered why my mama kept a tea light in her sewing box…I just thought she tossed it in there being unorganized now I get it
I feel like they are picking on a child. She told them what she knew, and it was not good enough. 🙄 As a parent or relative, I would be so angry!! All these interrogations are traumatic, too. 🤬 This poor child has been through it all. I'm glad she's doing well today. May she have a wonderful life. She certainly deserves it ❤❤❤
Gf is killing it in the red Lippy 💄💋❤🫶🏻👏🏼
Thank you 😊
This really hits home with me because I saw my parents fight with words and fist for most of my childhood. I thought it was normal for so long and found myself in the same kind of relationships. But then I broke the cycle and met an amazing person who I’m now married to and I make it my mission to give my kids what I didn’t have a home they feel safe in. Crystal sounds like a great mom and thank you for sharing her story. ❤
My first car was an AMC Hornet!! (Blue) 1 good thing about AMC’s were the engines! The rest of the car would rust away, but as long as the engine, steering wheel, & tires were on, you were moving!! The holes in the floorboards were in case you got a flat, you could Fred Flintstone it home!😂 SERIOUSLY!!
I'm 827th. But this is always the best time of the day. Let me watch and then come back with my comment. I'm just honestly happy seeing Kimbyrleigha!❤
You’re the best because you’re here and that’s all that matters
@@Kimbyrleigha Thank you for being such a beautiful person, in every way possible. I'll always be here because you're truly one of a kind. Love from Croatia 😘💙
You're doing amazing on pronouncing their town names. I lived in Rumford & had family working in the paper mill. Thank you for everything you do Kimbyr ❤️
Omg I lived 4 miles from Brownsville!!! In a town called Forbestown with 320 ppl!
thankyou beautiful sis for posting an extra video hugs kim xxx you look stunning as always x
Of course
Your kindness, attention to personal details of people’s lives, and non judgmental approach really won me over with this channel. I really appreciate you and your beautiful way of telling stories with such a sweet touch. ❤
I have heard this story before but never in a much depth or with as much passion as you told it. Thank you for doing this for this family
I loooove your orange couch!!!
Ms Kim, never forget to smack that bell before watching. 😊
I was so happy to see a new Kimbyrleigha video while at work. Watching on my break 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Awe thank you
A 1988 blue Grand Am in oh my God I remember that day like it was yesterday it was so proud of it!!!
The way you tell a story!! 👌 All the detail, personal interjections, compassion, etc. such a fan!
Thank you Kimbyrleigha for keeping peoples stories alive x ❤
Of course
You always have my attention from start to finish☺️Just in time for me to start my deep clean!!
I'm so glad!
Hi Kimbyrleigha. Long time listener…first time caller! I’m familiar with this case however not in this much detail. My mother passed suddenly on 8/21/17. There was also a solar eclipse that day and it was the day my world would darken for eternity. I was listening while on my drive home from work and that part hit me like a ton of bricks! Thank goodness I was turning into my drive 😊 many thanks for the elaborate storytelling ❤
Just got notification you uploaded a new video ! Made my day ! ❤
Thanks this will last me the rest of my shift! Happy Friday🎉
The more we see of you the better just love yr content ❤
Wow, Sarah is amazing! My traumatic childhood destroyed me,,, I survived but never really thrived. Glory be to GOD in the Highest❤Thank you, 🙏
Omg. Brownsville is about 20 miles away from me in Butte County. It always trips me out how people come here.
Cases like this truly break my heart
Yay! Best way to finish up my Friday. I needed this. Thank you as always for you hard work and dedication! No one I’d rather watch than your channel.
You’re so welcome
@@Kimbyrleigha I also LOVE your shirt. 💖
I watched your last video with John and really enjoyed you two covering cases together. Y’all have a great easy dynamic and look forward to more videos with you both. You’ll always be my #1 though. Haha. Y’all seem to have a very kind relationship, funny and respectful of each other which shows through in your episodes. Made it extra enjoyable to watch. ♥️
I was so excited to see your video drop!
I’m here Kim love how you tell the stories
I love listening to you tell the stories of the victims..
Thank you for the extra vid this week! It was so good and I’m so excited to watch this one!
Just awesome coverage!
Love the red lipstick! Mine always comes right off. It hates my face!
OMG! A new Kim Vid!! Just made my day ❤
I feel bad for Crystal's mother and daughter
God what a different world back then, even when I was young on the 90s to now is so different.
Just in the beginning of this story I am immediately reminded of what Princess from TWD said “sometimes I think I deserve more than just the best of a bad situation “
I’m so glad they caught him in the end. Such a sad case. Thank you for telling it.
Yay !!! My Friday is made !!
Omg darlin, you have made my day!! You are #1 in my book ! I really appreciate that you are so compassionate about these true crime cases. And yet, very interesting at the same time. I could listen to you everyday! Much love to ya~from southern Indiana ❤
Girl, i love how deep you get!! Sometimes, there are a lot of people and their names to tell us the whole story. Don't change anything. You are amazing at telling the story where we understand.
I pray she doesn’t have blame for herself in regards to not doing anything or not telling Gracie that she knew the murderer… in truth, Gracie knows now. Maybe not while she was alive. But she knows in her passing. May she and Crystal rest in peace
Wow! It always surprises me when my home town (San Angelo, TX) shows up in one of these. BTW, you do such a wonderful job on telling these people's stories. I always watch you as soon as the notification shows up.
You are incredible at narrating the tragedies of these individuals. It’s a pleasure to learn the intricacies of the victim’s lives and their affected families. I have learned a lot from your videos. No other true crime videos compare to the compelling way you describe⭐️
Your narration of a story is heartfelt and very well researched. Thank you for brining these cases to our attention. Blessings to the victims and their families 🩷♥️🩷♥️🩷
Your make-up is on point in this video. What a cool look!
Oh thank you!
Okay one episode turned into many episodes. You do a great job with the details and it relaxes me to listen and learn. On this episode i loved your top and wanted to find it. Lol sometimes i can be a squirrel. You’re beautiful and very interesting to listen to! Thank you for all the work you do in making these victims and families feel important and remembered!
