  • In Ottawa, Canada here. I find faster shots, with GZK cold weather tubes works well. And a big help is keeping your slingshot in your pocket with a chemical pocket warmer makes a huge difference!

  • Wow. That's interesting. Here in African sahara it gets really hot in summer (berween 45 and 55 degrees), and bands become very stretchy but they lose a loooot of their force' probably worse than during cold winter.

    • There can be a point that is too hot as well. I have experienced this in the summer if the slingshot is left in the car.

  • A question I was curious about. When making bands, do you put the tabs to the outside of the pouch? If so why?

    • Yes, the tabs should be to the outside. If to the inside, they can hit the ammo (depending on the fork gap) and thus throw the shot off target.

    • Not if it has additives for the cold. Different brands have different colors.
