George Foreman vs Joe Frazier HD

Joe Frazier defends his Heavyweight Championship against the murderous punching George Foreman. Foreman shockingly destroys Frazier by knocking him down 6 times in 2 rounds. It's an all time legendary fight and career defining performance for Big George Foreman. I mixed in the commentary call from the two legendary announcers, Don Dunphy and Howard Cosell. If you notice, I slowly start off the fight with mostly Don Dunphy announcing the fight. But as the fight gets more dramatic Howard Cosell's infamous "Down goes Frazier" can be heard. As the realization of Frazier losing becomes more eminent I switch the call back to the Don Dunphy call as the intensity subsides and the looming tone of sadness arises.
It's important to note Frazier's training wasn't at the same intensity as it was in the past, and the grueling fight with Ali definitely took a little out of Frazier. At any rate, Foreman makes a thunderous impact as a powerful and formidable fighter in the Heavyweight division.

The thing is - this is a Foreman that set things up with the jab. It took this and the Norton fight for him to go back to his clubbing ways. He fell in loves with his power. And once he lost to Ali he was mentally broken. As far as upsets, you forgot Ali vs Liston I and Douglas vs Tyson. Those were big too.

  • Joe Frazier showed real heart to keep getting up. Tough as nails. Today's fighters would have been finished after the first big shot landed. If only the Foreman - Tyson bout had come off in the early 90's. What a fight that would have made. I say that because Frazier and Tyson are similar in some ways, though Tyson was quicker&slicker.Foreman was a better boxer in his older years, and still had immense power..would have been a dangerous opponent for Mike even then.

  • Amen to the description about "murderous punching" by George Foreman, jeez... going into this fight I think Frazier due to the Ali fight was a favorite- well, after 6 knock downs... not so favorite anymore lol.

  • It's said that Frazier would trade punches with his opponent; he would let them land a few punches so that he could get in one good one. That worked against most, but not against George Foreman.

  • Thanks a lot man. I actually got this specific fight from the Ringside: Top 10 Heavyweight DVD. I have other dvds/sources on getting fights too. The DVD is actually not in Blue Ray or HD but the quality of most of the fights/highlights are very top notch. The Foster vs Frazier highlight made is probably in even better quality. I uploaded the fight in HD format which further enhances the quality. Thanks for you subscribing, and definitely more good stuff to come.

  • Remember joe frazier as the only man who could equally match ali in a fight and gave ali his hardest fight and the greatest boxing match in history/ Joe Frazier is extremely underrated. In this match you can see he really wasn't himself. He wasn't in form and he wasnt fighting right. If you want to see him for real watch him fight ali.
