It's the same with some friends I tell them I won't answer that small talk of "how are you" it's lazy, what now I have to dig in my head and remember where we left off and then bullet point you everything? No. You contacted me to say something, say it. Skip the small talk. "hey I miss you been thinking about you and want to know what you're doing Friday let's grab drinks at ___" easy.
