  • I’ve been riding with this board for three years on my local mountain. It’s just as good as any Arbor. Never had any issues.. Works great! Sometimes the Velcro comes off and the board missiles down the mountain, though.

  • I definately had a board like this. It was like 1994. My parents weren't sure if i was serious so they didn't want to put the money into a legit board. It was better than what i had been doing before, just standing on a sled.

    • @BoardArchive I got one after that was pure fiberglass with edges but they only went up the sides instead of all the way around. The bindings were connected to these metal pieces that were visible from the bottom of the board. I have no idea where they found the thing but it kept me out in the back yard trying to ride for another season or so. Then I got this decent board from dicks sporting goods. Not great but good enough to take to a resort.

      @joshuaschaffer6371@joshuaschaffer63717 ай бұрын
    • Hell yeah. I had a Black Snow in the early 90's I think. Plastic. No edges. Huge bolt holes in the base. Haha that was a frustrating thing to learn on.

    • I mother bought from K-mart plastic mogul monster with super soft low backs and slide in heal straps. Yeah I didn't even know what a mogul was when I started snowboarding. Then I moved up to the "pro" model with actual metal edges that was as stiff as a piece of cheese to take my my local resort. Where I discovered what a mogul field was and which explains my hatred for them now. Good note got my first kiss that day froma skier chick!

  • Crazy idea but could you treat the plastic to make it springier? Not all types will do it but you could put it in a bag, steam the bag, seal it, and then layer it in a cheap epoxy. I mean literally the most budget thing ever. You’re basically paying for the shape and bindings mounts. Assume you want a project.

  • I get to ride down after close up our lodge. Last season opening week for winter season. Last rider down the top after closing the lodge up top. Bout half way there roll upon a guy having difficulties. Spinning in circle turtle clawing round trying hold himself, slipping out whenever almost regains himself. Slowed down to a halt almost cause he was so unpredictable. Finally saw an opening and went off wide to give space and pass, but then suddenly he carved right over, caught an edge and went heel over head tumbling, suddenly snowboard piece flew everywhere. I chuckled never ever in all my years seen such a feat and grabbed one his bindings and a chunk the til of the board. It was a burton design, but had to be 15-16yrs old. He said he just bought all the gear secondhand off a local for like 300 for his vacation…… like well dude…. It’s time a new upgrade at this point hahaha. This target board here…. Held better than even that hahahaha kinda surprised honestly.
