I’m excited to talk about the new Space Series of headphones from Soundcore, more specifically the Soundcore Space Q45s, featuring 50hrs of playtime and ANC that blocks up to 98% of noise. Big thank you to Soundcore for providing these for me to review. Today I’ll go over everything from design, fit, sound, ANC, to find out if the Q45s are worth it! Design and fit. Come in 3 colours including black. Price $149 - lower than most other ANC over-ear headphones. Hardshell carry case and have fold design. Matte, almost black some very dark blue look, space theme. Battery life: 50hrs of playback plus 5 min quick charge gives 4hrs of listening. Buttons - prefer over touch controls, easier to reach. Ear cups rotate one way, sit facing down on neck. Super soft memory foam ear cups. Get smaller than most ANC headphones like the Sony XM5 and Bose QC. On the head the Q45 feel comfortable. Sit around ears. No excessive pressure on glasses frame. Distribute weight well. Good clamping pleasure. How do they sound? Q45s new 40mm double layer Metal ceramics- diaphragm driver. Certified hi-res wireless audio. Together creates for: Good soundstage, Powerful bass, Clean sub-bass, Highs are detailed. Could use more mids, EQ adjusted in app. Overall impressed. Music of all genres sound good. Vocals are life like. Finer details come out when watching movies. Action scenes with that bass, are phenomenal. Listen at 55%, get plenty loud. New 3 stage Noise canceling NC ANC, tested to block 98% of noise. ANC on Space Q45s is comparable to the Sony XM5s, which cost more than double. Blocks out consistent mid to low frequency sound best. Engines hum / plane noise. Even higher frequencies. Voices / alarms. Better than any headphone I’ve tried in this price range, by far! Mics perform well with calls. Has multipoint connection and wearing detection. Customisable EQ and ambient sound in Soundcore app. Have reviewed Soundcore headphones before, I find their products to be a strong all-round package, in terms of features, sound and price and the Space Q45s are an excellent example of this. If you want great ANC, impressive sound, super long battery life and a good looking design for a price that won’t break the bank, I would say look no further than the Space Q45s!

  • Hi to all. I have a lot of soundcore/anker headphones. I have the q20's, the q35's, and now a couple days ago, now have the space q45's. Anyone who has any of the older headphones, do yourself a major favor and just get the q45's. These headphones are more comfortable than the older ones for a start. When I got the app to find them which did take a little longer then I wanted, changed my EQ to acoustic and away I went. Music sounds great on these headphones, as does audio dramas and I know watching movies from places like Tubi, pluto, or Disney+ will also be great. The soundcore app works great with voice over which is the screenreader I use on my iPhone 13 pro max as I'm totally blind. When I received my q45 headphones, they were 60 % charged wright out of the box which is pretty cool. They connected to my phone with no issues. I also really like the buttons on the headphones. They have a quality feel to them. Using them wired also works just fine as well. If the headphones are turned on, the headphones will automatically turn off, and the audio will come up and the battery level will be announced. You can then choose either noise canceling, normal, or transparency. I recommend listening to them wired with noise canceling on. I just bought them from amazon for $100 as a black-Friday deal. They came very fast. I also bought a great case for them. I would have no problems taking these with me if I did any kind of traveling. Do yourself a favor and grab these headphones.

  • I'm receiving the Life Q30s tomorrow and I'm excited, honestly though I wish I saw this review before because I didn't even know these existed before buying but tbh I compared prices and features and I got an amazing deal for the Q30s so I'm not disappointed. I read that it's mostly the build quality and aesthetics that truly make the Q45s stand out and I'm really careful with my electronics so I'm not worried. I guess if the Q30s start to break or fail I know where to upgrade. Anyway, great review.

    • @@DionMedia Just got them and I've been testing them the whole day and let me tell you, if these things keep connecting smoothly and don't break too soon, I'll be so happy. For my use case they're just perfect. They sound great, ANC is great for the price point and honestly they look and feel good, not as cheap some people say. I've read people complain about products breaking on them and I've had the same products for years, I just take good care of my stuff so with these headphones it won't be different so I'm hoping to squeeze so much fun out of them and maybe by the time they can't play anymore, Soundcore will have something even better than the Q45s I don't know. For now I'll just enjoy. Peace.

  • I got the q30's almost 2 years ago. They still work and sound just like they did when I first got them. With that said, I treated them horrificly, took them to the gym and slept in them often. The ear foam has seperated from the inside, and the one design flaw of the headphones is the plastic part that holds the earmufs to the metal bar. When it snaps, and if you sleep in them for more then a year they will, the earmuf wont detach from the headphones but it will flop inwards in a really uncomfortable way. Ducktape fixed it for me😂. Highly recommend any soundcore headphones im getting the q45's now.

They began accumulating sweat and became quite uncomfortable to wear for long periods. Few days ago the left driver stopped producing noise for no reason. • Hi Dion! An important question I have, how is the multi-point connection going? I have the Apple ecosystem and I have tried the AirPods Max, but the price seems ridiculous to me for the use that I am going to give it, since I usually use headband headphones a couple of times a week for videoconferences, some video of KZhead to take advantage of noise cancellation and little else. Could I have these headphones paired to the MacBook and iPad for example, which is what I'd use it with the most, and when turned on they would automatically connect to one of the two paired devices? Or every time you want to connect with one of them would you have to make the connection by entering Bluetooth options? Thank you and sorry for the billet!

    @guillermocastaneda@guillermocastaneda Жыл бұрын
    • Hi Guillermo, only the AirPods will provide this seamless connection with other Apple devices. Multipoint connection works a bit different. It works with two devices, but you still have to switch manually between them

      @DionMedia@DionMedia Жыл бұрын
    • @@DionMedia Hello Dion. Ok I understand. So for example I can link them to the iPad and the Macbook, and then manually, from the Bluetooth options connect the device I need, right? And on the other hand, are they comfortable? When I have tried the Airpods Max, I have covered my whole ear and have been very comfortable. Have these the design of the pad to cover them whole and do not hurt? To me it is not worth Apple's, since the diadema headphones with noise cancellation would only use them two days a week for videoconferences and meetings of 1.5 hours, and the truth is that they attract my attention these attention Soundcore, but of course, I need them to be comfortable. @giuseppefoto@giuseppefoto Жыл бұрын
    • With an iPhone, you can only have AAC. It is impossible for AAC or any other codec to make the bitrate requirement for ALAC (LDAC is the closest and unavailable for Apple.) That being said, I used Apple Music for the first time on Android just to try out my new LDAC earbuds and holy smokes does it work. Wired will never fail to give the ALAC experience though, and these headphones support wired.

      @SkynetGeneral@SkynetGeneral3 ай бұрын

      @SkynetGeneral@SkynetGeneral3 ай бұрын
    • So that's how it went: The sound initially felt disappointing, so I used the HearID feature of the headphones and tweaked it a bit so I had a V-shaped equalizer curve. I like it so far. Wired: Works absolutely fine on PC, but low volume when using Type C to 3.5mm converters on my Huawei tablet and Samsung phone. Good stage separation, good quality. LDAC: Oh man. Amazing stage separation, warm sound, you hear almost everything. At this point I can say that I am spoilt. No going back from LDAC 990kbps and Apple Music downloads that take more than 30 megabytes a song. AAC: Sound lost its warmth. I tried using the low sound quality option on Apple Music while using AAC to get the "Realistic iPhone experience", but I know Apple's own devices make better use of AAC. Then again, not much was lost, but the sound definitely lost its airy and warm feel. Switching back to low bitrate LDAC (330kbps) felt better than the AAC on these cans.

    • That’s because your headphones switch to what’s called a “hands-free profile” (HFP) which is a protocol for using mic and speaker for a call over Bluetooth. If it’s any consolation, even my Bose QC35 ii switch to the hands-free profile/protocol on calls (or when the mic is in use) over Bluetooth, resulting in a crappy sound. :( Since this is a limitation of Bluetooth (and how headsets connect to devices over Bluetooth), it’s unlikely that the Q45 would’ve solved this.

    • Well, I literally bought the Q45 two days ago due to my Q30's ear pads basically opening to the point of seeing the sponge from inside (the quality of the Q30's materials is what I think is his real down side) and Let me tell you, it is a noticiable diference. It is better in everything Noise Canceling as for what the statement means; even without literally using the mode, I hear the outside of my headphones far less the with the Q30's. Also the Noise Canceling feature can be set in an adaptable way, this option that was, at the start, concerning to me, ended up being a neat plus bc the way it adapts to the necesity is fast and actually efficient for the needs of not hearing any sounds (it changes the audio settings tho, so you must equalize the thing If it really bothers you). The only thing that really dropped me from the boat at my first days of using the product was the obvious fact that the Q45s equalizer potentials work in a totally different way than the Q30s so If you haved especific settings in the last, you wont be able to make it sound the same in the Q45s (you can use it to gide you through the creation of settings that you like, Its different but the quantity of equalizer knobs is the same as in the Q30's so with a bit of patience, you might be able to equalizer the whole thing as you like, but have in mind that If you are picky with the whole sound quality, you are not gonna be ready to use the sound settings from the get go.

Also, I'm missing "superior sleep" in the app, why isn't it there? Auto pause playback + NFC + transparent mode when you put your hand on the right earpiece - all this is NOT there. Big disappointment. With a good equalizer setting and ANC turned off, you can achieve 80% of the reproduction quality compared to the Sony WH-1000XM3. I don't understand why Anker chose such a downgrade. (I apologize for my English)

    • @@DionMedia Hi Dion, thanks for the reply. Regarding previous versions of Anker, only the Q35 version had automatic stop (sensor in the earpiece). It was a good thing, don't know why they removed it. Anyway, the Q35 initially had a problem with the ANC ON/ANC OFF sound quality difference, the update solved that. I got a statement from Soundcore support that they are already testing the new update and will send it to me for a beta test within a week. So I hope it will be fixed by now, as I prefer to use my older A30 at the moment :) The sound is really terrible.

    • btw: if you want, I'll send you my review (draft) on Q45 (text only), but it's in slovak language, so I'll send it through translator :)

    • Anker sent me an updated firmware (v 02.16) for my headphones that fixes the sound issues. For now, it's a beta version. The bass is more pronounced, but the sound is still different and flatter when the ANC is on. It's definitely an improvement though. So we'll see if it gets even better in the official update.
