I was 8 years old when Shannon Miller was my idol. I get tears watching her land. I grew up looking up to her.
Me too I loved the whole magnificent 7.... I was a gymnast as you prob we're n miss it every damn day. I actually went to Georgia n saw em, would fly to Tx to train. Dominique Moceanu is another favorite of mine.
What can you NOT say about Svetlana that isn't associated with the word greatness! Her longevity alone at the hieght that she was is remarkable alone. I was lucky enough to be in Atlanta in 1996 and her crispness, her speed and her lines were just awesome. An absolute amazing athlete.
That some of these women/girls didn't use the mechanical advantage of grips, especially the Chinese with their smaller hands, is so impressive!!
all of these athletes are wonderful, but man i miss watching aliya mustafina. she worked bars like nobody else.
Aliyah was a fierce competitor. Admired for skills and grace, I couldn't help but admire her ability to keep it together when it counted. She was one tough cookie. ❤
I still think Madison Kocian in 2016 was absolutely gorgeous. It's a little bit of a shame that her name doesn't sit higher on people's minds cause she was fabulous.
Why is it on some, you intercut from different years, playing them as if they were one routine when they were 2 or 3 different ones, but others you showed the entire film routines they did in different years?
I only showed 2 entire routines for the top 2, because they were 2 times Olympic champion. Any routine from 2004 and above I had to cut because they were copyrighted. Some routines like Iliankova, Scheder, Liukin, Yang Yilin are the same routine from a different angle.
Didn’t Beth Tweddle win a bronze at London? How come she wasn’t on this list? That would be 7 points as well 😊

Ugh I forget how hideious Lipenic was on her bar set. That gold was a gift. I don't think she hit a single hand stand?
What a hateful and incorrect comment! Not only was her toe point gorgeous and legs locked together (except for brief separation on the release), but the routine is incredibly difficult, especially for 2004. And it’s Le Pennec 🤦🏼♀️

Mustafina’s routing is sooooo BORING compared to all others. Khorkina is Queen Of Bars along with He Kexin and Nastia Liukin; Yang Yiling is superb all well! Honestly all routing are existing and innovative but Mustafina’s, I don’t why people like this routing so much, it’s so short and boring 😂
