They are not allowed to eat on the car, if they have muddy shoes they remove them when they are inside. But if there's any case where they want a snack first thing we do when we park is everyone take out their trash. period. Is less than seconds that it takes to do that, no excuses really. If I take our car to the car wash we remove everything before leaving it there.

I see many people commenting about this family being lazy and talking about neglect etc, but seeing a car like this really makes me question people’s mental health and well being in general. • I did an exterior that was worse, and there's an AWESOME OUTCOME. Bought a 1984 200sx when I was 18. $300 cash. This was in 1998. It had not been washed or cleaned since bought in '84. Again, never one cleaning. The outside paint was a dark beige, and the bumpers black. Interior was covered in blankets and plastic on the floors. I took it home and washed it in 5 degree weather. To my amazement, the car looked like it might be white underneath, but it kept freezing obviously. So, I went to my garage (rented my friend's mom's to detail for the summer before school) and asked my buddy Chris to come help me with just pure compound. We went through 4 full bottles of compound wax. The car was white. Three coats of wax and 3 coats of polish later, and it looked damn good. The hood did have a 12" clear coat issue that I had to sand and fix. Also, the bumpers were a sky blue. Took all of the crap out of the interior annnnnnd...spotless after a cleaning. Pulled the stock wheels off, put a set of wheels on that made it look a little sporty and I had my $300 daily driver. BUT THEN....I had an idea. A guy 20 miles away curbstoned. He had a yellow 1984.5 Porsche 944 (yes, they made a half that year) out front. Wanted a ton for it and it had been sitting for 5 years. So, I took my buddy that worked at an Audi dealership to look at it with me. The guy told us, "engine is completely shot, but a great shell and parts". My buddy started looking and smelling things and told me that if he said out loud, "yeah it's cooked" to find another car and rev it. I chose an old Camaro with holes in the exhaust. I came back and my buddy told me we needed to leave. Which meant, I needed to get the car. So, I picked the guy apart. Ended up trading him a $300 200sx with $800 wheels on it and a CD player for that Porsche. It needed a new waterpump, two new tire rods and new tires. 8 months later a deer ran in front of me and the insurance for the totaled Porsche 944? $19,900. Nice profit at 18. Whenever someone tells me a great detail can't make a $1,000 dollar difference, I crack up.

  • So I detail things at work just because I'm quite good at it and being only 17 and working at a smallish company that hauls rock and mulch and stuff like that with dump trucks and load people's personal vehicles with the like for their own personal projects, I can't do deliveries so I stay in the shop doing maintenance and cleaning everything. I detail my bosses' personal vehicles and I clean the office and all that fun stuff and let me tell you this, the amount of dirt and dust that can accumulate inside the cab of those dump trucks is quite something. From a part time detailer to a detailing master, I'm really happy to see that people take their time to get all the dirt and stuff off of the outside between the panels and out of the inside. This was truly pleasing to witness the dedication. Great job sir.

  • I actually one this type of Kia. It's almost 7 years old now and never had any issues with it. Imo, it's a very good car and it was very well priced. I also have 2 kids, things sometimes get out of hand, but it's never been this bad. The worst was before installing the dog-mat on the back seat for the rear-facing child seats. And that was because although I used a plastic cover for the back rest the dirt on their feet would fall down to the seat. The dog-mat actually covers both and it's also easier to vacuum. And mind you that with the busy schedule I'd wash the exterior when really dirty (but not like that) and the interior gets done at most 4 times a year. But my kids know to be careful with the car and I try my best to clean it up whenever possible. I really love this car and how comfortable it is ❤
