One Two Me You is a series created by Trust Records to dig a little deeper into things we're into, with an emphasis on the creative process. Keith Morris of Circle Jerks and Kat Moss from the band Scowl sit down and get into it. This is the first time the two ever met, the conversation went swimmingly, enjoy.

Trust Records was formed to give classic punk and hardcore records the home that they deserve. The great records of this genre sprung from DIY roots to influence millions of disaffected kids around the world. As we now move into the “streaming age” it’s crucial to keep their spirit and legacy alive. Our focus is to ensure this music is available for all future generations while also getting the story right.
Keith was the singer on Black Flag's "Nervous Breakdown" EP. Henry Rollins says it's Black Flag's best album...I agree.
Yup. 👍
glad you know who is kiddo
And Everything went black!
an album isn't an EP, so I don't know who's stupider you or him
Rollins is a joke
This was fukken hilarious. Great interview, it blew my pecker off.
Keith Morris can tell you a short story for 7 days.
Him, Jello, and Rollins. never shut up.
He is a bag of wind for sure
He's a wind bag who's full of shit; this guy sux! The only reason that he's not a major label star is his lack of talent. I can't believe they're charging $70 for a show! He's not punk at all; Green Day and Rancid are punker, lol. I love how Morris is all over tubi and youtube and shit. If this were back in his time, he'd still be a stand in in B- movies; fuck this guy. Dez Cardena is the best Black Flag singer anyway.
I was in a band called The Sick Fukken Puppies. Tsst Tsst, Wha Zaat?
fawkin homerun, chippah
Glad to see Chip back in the studio. Haven't enjoyed the Zoom podcasts as much. Another home run.
Hahahahha
Fawk yeah! Burning Embers rule!
Fawk yeah.
Kat: My day job was in coffee production. Keith: Oh cool I was once a guard dog.
Home Run Chippah! Great interview. Fawk ya.
I heard he worked one summer at Ted Sheckler's Lightbulb Emporium. Fawk Yeah!
Fawkin home run Chippah!
Rad, I worked as a UPS driver and painted houses... Now I run my old record label (defunct since 1985) brought it back to life in 2021. Released my grandfathers music catalog from 1946 thru 1968.
What type of music did your grandfather make and by chance do you have a website for your label if you do could I have a link
How cool. I run a KZhead page with 2 subscribers!
@@jasonogulnik5826 Now you have three. 🤠
@@WorldRockumentaryChannel My page has been defunct since 2018, I hope you come to your senses and unsubscribe.

He is Chip Chipperson
Keith Keitherson
You've got the keys to kingdom of my heart and if you put they keys in my heart will start.... love ya Chippah!
This guy is literally chip chipperson
i love Sick Fukkn' Puppies and Burnin' Embers
Gotcha Gotcha!! Its the real life Chip Chipperson!! FAWK YEAH!!
I met Keith and many others summer of 1982 in Hermosa beach at the Church. Saw lots of bands that summer hanging out on the strand skate boarding between Redondo Hermosa and Manhattan beaches. What a time to be 15. I was visiting L.A from the east Bay Area but always told people who asked that I was from Santa Cruz. it was a good time to be a nobody punk and go to lots of afternoon keg'er parties and listen to lots of crazy fast fun new music. Cheer's to being young dumb and full of sum. Kids now days ... don't have a clue. Great stories btw.
Those old punk bands were relentless with their touring. I remember reading ( I think it was the Circle Jerks ) how they played a laundromat once. Lol. A gig is a gig.
... including vaccinated only gigs.
@@TheUnholyPosole lmao
the most interesting place i saw PR. BAND WAS in a church GODA love punK!!
I've played at a crystal shop, and on top of an abandoned boat 😆 the weirder the gig, the more I wanna play it.
I would love to see a Scowl Off tour. 😁
This guy's voice is what you'd expect punk should sound like
So: real story. It is what punk sound like.
He actually set that expectation, at least for hardcore.
thick cali accent for sure
“Kat Moss interviews Keith Morris”
Lol I’m barely starting and I already know this dudes gonna ramble forever Edit: I love it tho !!
Keith Morris Kia ora hello I've been a fan of Keith's since the eighties that spoken voice is AWESOME AND WHEN HE LET'S GO YEEEHÀAA
Chip chipperson is the goat
I used to run into Keith at Amoeba every time I went. South Bay legend.
"I was fawkin zooted" Basically real life Chip Chipperson😂
00:12 fawkin home run morris
Wow, what a great interview. I first Saw the Circle Jerks in 1990 for the ten year anniversary tour. It is nice to see the mutual respect of both musicians. Keith rules!
They have redwoods in Santa Cruz! Last time I was there its hard to explain but the town wouldn’t let me leave
Always love seeing Keith Morris rock an MC5 shirt
Especially one that is sold at Walmart
Have you seen him in his Pfizer shirt?
thanks for sharing this great interview
I love this man 🖤
Wonderful 👍
Damn this is incredible!!! Thanks kat and keith for your time.
Kieth is so Chip Chipperson. it's uncanny and undeniable
The mannerisms, cadence, and choice of words are just as spot on as his appearance
fawkin double guns! take us to break erock
Kieth is honest, wise, and unapologetic. In a modern plastic and electric world we must embrace and savor those carved out of wood and fueled with an undying fire.
Has Keith, Rollins or Jello spoken out at all about the draconian vaccine mandates or police brutality enforcing these nazi mandates? I haven't heard one thing.
Maaaaaaaan
He’s a biter old man who’s done a LOT of meth
Keith is the old school Southern Cal that I wish I could have experienced.
@Skateboarding Is fun The entire atmosphere. It looks so dystopian these days with all of the homeless and gentrification. It was just simpler times in general.
@Skateboarding Is fun Yeah man. Ive only been to California for like two hours total. A layover to New Zealand and back when I was 13. I’m 31 now. I wish I could have seen it in it’s heyday. It looked special.
Get your vaccine, and digital id, and you still can!
@@TheUnholyPosole Nah, it's not the same these days.
Just saw Circle Jerks in concert last night and as always, they never disappoint. Great show! Been a fan for 40 years!
My first time seeing the circle jerks is tomorrow night. Pretty rare to get punk bands to come to Tennessee. I’m excited
I saw them 2 days ago in Australia I was glad the circle jerks came down will probably be the first and the last time and a youngin like me will ever get to experience real punk Greg hetson was a legend and gave me his pick also
I was there in Dallas. I liked all 3 bands so much I went to see them again in Austin a few nights later. Many punk bands from the 80s that are still together & touring are good, still, in their old age, but not as good as the 80s. Circle Jerks & Keith Morris are the exception! He sings and acts like a teenager on stage and hit every note like it was a bullseye! It was absolutely incredible.
Man, after seeing other bands 40 years into their turn start to lose it I was kinda afraid to go. I couldnt believe how tight they were.@@crooked-halo
@@invade81 I was blown away! I already plan to hit _every_ Texas date in March when Circle Jerks return. Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas. I like Adolescents & Descendents both a lot, but I like 7 Seconds & Negative Approach better. 7 Seconds has long been a favorite & they nailed it that night, as did NA. Kevin Seconds brought tears to my eyes he was so good. I think all the 80s punk bands are incredible on stage. FEAR, DRI, GBH, Original Misfits, Murphys Law, Agnostic Front, The Queers, Adrenaline OD, X, Dead Boys, and no matter what _anyone_ says about them being a "cover band" or sucking because of what Greg Ginn did, I've really enjoyed seeing Black Flag a few times the last 2 years, Mike Vallely is a beast on the microphone, and Greg shreds his guitar. I was super skeptical of Dead Kennedys without Jello Biafra and almost didn't go, but they were so damn good! None of these bands are as good as they were in the 80s, they're old, completely different but totally kick ass, every one of them!
very cool
Keith's entertaining. Enjoy hearing those tour stories, somewhat livin it vicariously
This brings back memories of deciding to sleep in the van and waking up the next morning, cooking in the sun, having to pee really bad and not remembering which house we were staying in.
This guy's a real life Chip Chipperson...
Burning embers ❤❤❤
🎶The sick, the sick, the sick fawkin puppies Barkin up your treeee 🎶
Hahahaahhahahha
Whoeves that is. I will say this... Keith is my fav punk rock icon of all time. Stoked he's still around❤🤞
Omg best YT comment ever. I can’t Unsee this now
This is the most punk interview i’ve seen
Respect ♥️
Anyone else notice that she has amazing legs?
God she's so cool 😍
The sweatstains on top of Keith's hat should form their own band
Keith on point
Yup!
Fawwwwk yeah
What a great discussion. Just checked out Scowl because of this vid. Good band, with lyrics that mean something.
They’re amazing live, too. Saw them a week ago on tour with Touché Amoré! Nicest people at the merch tables, too!
Their lyrics are crap.
Funtastic
Stumbled across this and was surprised to learn Kat was local, I had just read about Scowl in Good Times the other day! Keith is a legend. Saw them throughout the years, always a great show. Such a cool interview, kind of like passing the torch to the new generation. Cheers.
That torch fizzled out 10 years ago.
Kat Moss is a new torch and a flaming hot one I might add...@@greghauser742
LOVE Keith and I LOVE Kat I didnt know I needed this thank guys
Fawwwwk yaaa! 🤓
Keep it going. This is good stuff. Thanks
35:00 haha awesome! 💥
She’s the best interviewer
I thought it said Kate Moss, haha great interview.
I've been looking through KZhead and looking at all the live footage since the tour I'm wondering why there is no footage of Reno from February 27th?
Awesome chat session! Congratulations Trust Records, Kat Moss & Keith Morris!
You get zooted then you dive into supermodel Kate Moss cooter, then you put some devil-heavy metal music in this mug! That's how Chippa' plays!
that souns like more fun than morris had i the last 42 years
The wide shots looks like Gandalf sitting with Frodo.
Jesus, that chick didn't even try. Keith, sir. Like always, it was a pleasure. 😃
Keith Morris on a date. What a trip. Lol.
Charming lady and great vocalist in a great band. Keith Morris is the wise turtle (or owl)--we can learn something listening to him
i can smell Keith Morris' hat from here lol
Thank You for being you Keith. Kat seems really cool to hang out with.
Scowl is the band that burnt down the homeless camp in Oakland right ?
I'm too tired & I thought this was gonna be a song. Can someone get Keith & Kat to do a duet, please?
Same.
Starting on day jobs, humbling and endearing. Very enjoy!
Idk. I saw scowl open for the Spits and Kat didn't even walk out of the van until it was time to go on. Have a hard time believing touring is really that rigorous for her...
What a princess
Wise
Just looked up scowl, great band.
Hate5Six has a few Scowl videos. Damn good band! Looking forward to seeing the Circle Jerks next week.
Hate5Six has some of the best life show videos on YT in my opinion. Found so much great bands on Hate5Six.
Too bad Sunny is a tankie moron, otherwise I'd give his channel more props.
“I’m not gonna lift a finger” jeeeeesus
Why would she. The man himself said the singers don't need to work about the guitar and drums because it's simply not her responsibility
@@danielranjel8628 “the man himself?” Glad to know u think if a man verifies a woman’s statement it must be true lol. No anyone in a band knows it’s the shared responsibility of everyone to bring in gear. Thinking otherwise doesn’t make u a musician it makes u an ass
@M E Dude, there's a job for everyone. I'm sure she's not just sitting on her ass the entire time she probably has another responsibility but why in the hell would that be loading up other members equipment huh who knows she probably goes on a breakfast run for everyone while shit is being loaded up.
@@danielranjel8628 r u a gigging musician? Have u ever met a drummer who was like “ya let me carry all my drum stuff by myself”
Beverly Hills, Century City. Everything's so nice and pretty
Chip Chipperson
People keep saying this is awkward. All I see is a senior punk rock musician and young punk musician sharing their common ground and it’s pretty cool seeing that like mindedness between two generations.
lolol a real life Chip Chipperson!!! tss tss
Fawk yeah!
lol
fawk yeah
If Jim Norton does not get this guy in a room or on a zoom with Chip, I will be severly disappointed.
Start with day jobs! Great interview laughed my ass off.
Wow that young woman is beautiful!
She should do a duet with Kate Moss. (Dont ask me how I come up with this stuff.)
I can smell that hat from Detroit
People also need to realize this bad ass dude is 67 yrs old. Like holy fuck ive been chasing bands that werent even part of my generation. But i was still able to get a taste and im 32. Because of my dad who introduced it to me really young. Bit lived through it. If you really got into it were all missing and dont remember about 15 yrs of our life. That we don't remember. I can say it was fun though. This new social media is crazy. Find anything. Fuck i couldn't find my herb to something else back i the day. So you do them both. This dudes a legend. Kieth morris. But yeah. Work hard party harder. There party is work. So let party.
I'm 59. These guys, BF Played my High school
My question would be, does your throat hurt after performing/rehearsing? I don’t know how to scream and not hurt my throat.
I just wish Keith could have been more present in the moment, but that jitter leg speaks volumes. I'm right there many times. I love all his stories, but would have appreciated some reciprocity. Kate appears to be a very honest and intelligent individual. Looking forward to this freaking killer Bay Area punk bank that I just found out about. Pushing it all around, cause this is the shit! My flavor for real since I grew up at Gilman St. Keep keepin it real!!!
Detroit rock💪🏻
Keith Morris is the pinnacle of punk rock frontmen. You won’t change my mind don’t try
You no it started years before in another country..
@@anthonygudgeon4298 if youre on about the UK, you are wrong I am afraid, USA had punk before us sadly, Malcom McLaren visited the US before he created the sex pistols, loved the vibe and message and took it back to the UK. Sex Pistols are basically a factory made band.
Nah, that's Jack Grisham.
Love Keith but Jello from DK is the Man.
HR is the man.
🔥🦊
Why didn’t he talk about the milk balloons
Old Punk Rock VS New Punk Rock...the new being the kind that checks their phone between songs (what a cute lil skirt - very punk rock)
48 minute long video - at 40 minutes Keith says to Kat, "Ok, your turn." Asks her a question, then somehow he ends up talking more. :-)
Surfing in Redondo Beach
I don't know if anyone know the answer to this, but did Keith ever work at Highland Grounds? I swear to god I was hanging out there one time and he was bussing tables. I admit it could 100% have been my imagination or an intense hangover, but it looked just like him.
Im a bit stoned, so I might not be "getting it", but it's a trip that I can't figure out who the interviewer is.
I like his new band sick fucken puppies . Chip rules
I dig the early Black Flag and Circle Jerks with Keith
