  • You know what I have noticed …. Other than the clueless tourists … is that these horses, 90% of the time, are very gentle with children. They can be nipping at the adults, but a small child can walk by or stand in front of the horses…said horses will not nip at them. Now I’m not saying you should just let your children stand in front of any horse, no matter how well trained … but sometimes, it’s like these horses just KNOW. God bless the guard.💂💗

So many of the tourists are looking for any excuse to touch the reins. What is the fascination with that? And then when the guard charges the horse at them, they get this stupid look on their face and continue to try to touch the reins. He had no idea he was doing the wrong thing and being pushed around by the mounted guard was just confusing. Its written all over him. So its the MODs fault. Having 1 sign in English solves nothing. • I feel very sorry for the horses when tourists come at them from both sides, touching, patting some squealing when they turn their heads towards them. The horses do not know these people The guards are very patient and controlled towards them all. They only shout when the reins are touched, which is strictly forbidden as that is how they control their horse
