Day 15 of #JAMUARY2020 feels like a beats kind of day. Here's 3 short performances with the Quad Drum (QD) making beats and exploring CV modulation, which brings in nice additional voices. The module has a nice layout for making stereo mixes, muting live and performing with the parameters. Everything you hear in this video is a dry stereo recording right out of the left and right outputs.

At what point does a project start to feel like you're on the home stretch? Half way through #JAMUARY and sticking to doing these daily. I'm trying to explore lots of new things with demos to come, enjoy making music and get into fast tracking the process of making videos somehow. Anything you want to see, leave a comment I'll try and explore it.

  • I got the QD right when it came out and *love* the thing. The amount of utility it crams into the HP it takes up is amazing. Built in mutes, built in compression, built in EQ, built-in LFOs, etc. Some of the sample banks are a bit less useful than others, but the fact that is has them in additional to the digitally modeled drums is really nice.

  • The opening of that last jam reminds me of "When Doves Cry". Also must say this sparked my interest in the QD.

  • Nice to see QD here! So much possibilities even before even thinking about loading your own samples! The CV assignation and LFO system is brilliant, and the internal compressor EQ is very handy

    • Timothee Zephir At 2nd glance the question wasn‘t stupid because some differently coloured cables go into the module, so maybe it was a mix of the EC2 and some other modules or a logic module that only played some of the EC2‘s triggers.
