I’m pretty sure everyone except Jade was broken in at least one way in MK9. Netherrealm really went "When everyone’s broken, no one will be" with that game and I still love it for it.

@@dexterwilliams2520 Jade's projectile immune glow becomes fully invulnerable on frame 1 if you wake up with it, so there's that. The most broken reversal in the game. Literally unbeatable, she just goes clean through your pressure on wake up.

Some dude ONLINE years ago, was actually nice enough and taught me the concept of combos in MK9 (I was like 10) and he taught me with Ermac. So much respect to that guy. I’ve never forgotten that. Always hoped to meet him again, but it’s one mf out of millions so 🤷

MK9 Ermac is a Good Modern Fusion of Original Trilogy and the 3D Era in both Costume Design and Fighting Style, although not going to lie he needed to be more Red and his Alternate Design was the Perfect Ermac that MKX remodeled it and ruined it without a Mask.

MK9 Ermac was my boy, I rocked everyone online with him on the 360. Ahh fun times. Even though he was mid, he was still crazy good if you knew how to use him he could do it all. Zone, counter zone, teleport, play crazy mind games with the float having having 4 different options in the air and even hover there holding block. And of course he had crazy flashy combos that did meaty damage and the B2 cancelling shenanigans. Vanilla launch MK9 Ermac was OP his damage was higher and his tk force push had insane range. It practically hit you full screen. That was nerfed fast. 😅 Totally agree btw the buffer inputs in MK9 were the best and flowed so smoothly.

Ermac’s 2nd costume in MK9 is his best look ever made imo. It’s like a more minimalist MK11 design. Not a big fan of the MKX/MK1 mummy look. It’s not god awful but he should def look like a hooded cloaked ninja/assassin. Ermac as a character is meant to be 10,000 warriors in one body, not some ancient Egypt pharaoh ghost dude. He’s Shao Khan’s strongest warrior in MK9 for the Mortal Kombat tournament, after Shang Tsung & Goro had previously failed.

An MK9 parsec multiplayer day with viewers would be fun. I get that there’s always a billion new games, characters and DLC coming for modern games that takes stream priority, on top of Max just wanting to play Tekken 8 or what have you, so I get that it’s more something he’d do if it makes thematic sense to tie into an upcoming release or can be made into a KZhead vid (like this one). But would be fun to just see him quickly learn a MK9 character and run some sets against some ransdm viewers who still play the game to this day.

4:26 So, Ermac shares this chargeable command normal with Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage. All of them are unblockable at full charge, but they behave differently in accordance to characterization. Sub-Zero's will freeze, we see how Ermac's works here, and I legit forget if Johnny's launched or caused a crumple state.

This was the MK for all MK fans out there. Feel really lucky if you have it on PC! I bought it on Steam back in the day and still enjoy it today. Looks stunning and is a WAY better game than 11 and 1. MKX is a close contender! The only downside was the FMVs compression, but there's a superb quality video pack that replaces the over compressed videos and makes this game on PC PERFECT. P.S. For those saying it "holds up well today", well, it'll hold up FOREVER.

The alt costume for Ermac was my favorite costume right alongside Scorpion's alt costume and Smoke's alt costume all three of them were top tier designs.
Ermac is so much fun in mk9 and mkx man the combos feel so smooth .
An MK9 parsec multiplayer day with viewers would be fun. I get that there’s always a billion new games, characters and DLC coming for modern games that takes stream priority, on top of Max just wanting to play Tekken 8 or what have you, so I get that it’s more something he’d do if it makes thematic sense to tie into an upcoming release or can be made into a KZhead vid (like this one). But would be fun to just see him quickly learn a MK9 character and run some sets against some ransdm viewers who still play the game to this day.

4:26 So, Ermac shares this chargeable command normal with Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage. All of them are unblockable at full charge, but they behave differently in accordance to characterization. Sub-Zero's will freeze, we see how Ermac's works here, and I legit forget if Johnny's launched or caused a crumple state.

Ermac had a combo with just 2, 2, tele slam, 2, 2, xray. It did easy 50% and the devs decided that you can block the teleslam after the first 2, 2. Those were the days.
This is when games didn’t try to rip off the players you got to unlock everything and it didn’t cost you anything else

in mkx u can dash cancel as quickly as in mk9 by pressing the block button before input "it's literally instant you will be surprised how quick it is". Like this comment so max can read it pls!

No MK has captured the MK vibe so well since MK9! It sucks so much that WB and NRS refuse to remaster it. What's more shocking to me is that Ed Boon didn't know this game isn't available on Steam store anymore before an interviewer told months ago.

This was the MK for all MK fans out there. Feel really lucky if you have it on PC! I bought it on Steam back in the day and still enjoy it today. Looks stunning and is a WAY better game than 11 and 1. MKX is a close contender! The only downside was the FMVs compression, but there's a superb quality video pack that replaces the over compressed videos and makes this game on PC PERFECT. P.S. For those saying it "holds up well today", well, it'll hold up FOREVER.
