Jigsaw fence to make accurate jigsaw cuts in wood
This jigsaw fence will help to make precise and accurate cuts with the jigsaw. I have long been trying to find how to cut wood with the jigsaw to make accurate jigsaw cuts easily, and this fence works great. Sure I have to improve this guide and some woodworking tricks yet, but pay attention to my next woodworking videos and let's see if I can take this woodworking jig to the next level. I think this techniques can be interesting when we can to work with limited tools and also for beginners.

Your teaching skills are second to none. Thank you again, for providing a simple and elegant solution to a common problem.
Really sound and simple advice as usual.... Jigsaw always wanders on me.
Thank you very much for your demonstration. This answered the question I was asking myself about how accurate a straight edge could be cut both straight and square with a jigsaw.
Perfect idea, well demonstrated. Thx
Once again, very good.
This is wonderful. Good work!
Thanks! Great idea
man your accent is amazing! its so relaxing that i forgot what brought me to this video
Some people put my videos before going to sleep :D
English is clearly not your first language but your English is VERY clear - a pleasure to listen to.
Beautiful and useful as always, Sergio!!!
Thank you very much 😃
Fantastic idea! Merry Christmas! I can’t wait to start making videos like this once my workshop build is complete
Thank you very much. Merry Christmas 😃

Thank you very much. Today I´ll go to my workshop to see if the ideas I have in mind work as expected. 😃. Happy holidays 👍
Clever trick with the pre- cut with knife! I've use that with handsaw, using it for this jig makes total sense! Thank you, much appreciated!
Идеально 👌 Самая лучшая идея! Спасибо большое
Ich wünsche euch ein Friedvolles Weihnachten und ein gesundes neues Jahr 2020 💝
Good job!
Great instructional Video .
Good information, thank you😊
You got another subscriber here. Your video content is amazing and very informative. Keep up the good work.
the ply wood trick is really smart no need to measure anymore.... thanks for the advice!
Thank you very much. This jig may seem to be very simple, but it works :)
Brilliant ideas 👏🏻👍🏻👏🏻🙏
Hi, now I belong to your community, I like how you explain the things, really for new makers like me 💕👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Man wished I had this a few months ago!
Beautiful work!
Great idea for that jigsaw jig, mate. 👍🏽 Looking forward to see what design you come up with to keep the blade straight. 🤔
Thank you very much Bill. It won't be amazing engineering, but I think it will work 😃
@@WoodworkingwithDIYtools That's all that really matters with a prototype. 👍🏽
Nice trick Bro.
Fabulous video thks🇨🇦
Great fence. Thanks for sharing the video. It can be of great help in many cases. The long screws into the work bench are not the best solution. Sooner or later (I think quite early) the holes wear out and the screw will not have grip anymore in the workbench surface. I think it's better to glue some T-nuts into the work bench and use metric screws/bolts.
Thank you very much, Hans 👍. I think the screws will keep tight for long time, but I don't mind if I have to drill new holes in this workbench. But, this is just some kind of prototype 😅. I plan on making a portable jigsaw fence so I can install it anywhere with clamps 😃
Yes...i was wondering how long the long screw would have a tight thread to work into. Would it be a solution to have a suitable nut fixed on the underside..in a recess perhaps?
Excellent 👍
Nice trick Sir
Feliz Navidad. Saludos desde Eslovaquia
Smart!

Vielen Dank. Dieses Video wird in Kürze auf meinem Kanal in Deutsch sein 😃. Frohe Weihnachten und ein glückliches Neues Jahr! 😃
Thanks for sharing that
Thank you very much 😃. More coming soon
Another good video.
Thank you very much Robb 😃
You're awesome man
😁 thank you very much
So good, thank you! But I need a guide for cutting small notches which is difficult, any ideas please!
Wonderfull
Seems like the typical cutoff board you make for a circular saw would be just as easy and more portable as well - interesting modification using the bearing guides
Thank you. I already made the portable jig with the bearings. Soon I will edit the video with comments in English 😃
You have given me a lot of good ideas Thanks. Just curious. Where are you located?
salute :)
nice 👍
Genius
Good Job. Thanks for sharing. ;-)
Thank you very much 😃. Thanks for watching 👍
Brilliant
Thank you very much John 👍
nice work
Thank you 😃
I like your idea very much but there is definitely a way to greatly increase the accuracy of straightness and squareness (is that a word?). Ditch the thin fine cut blade and buy some Precision blades. Many makers offer them specifically for straight cutting. They have the prefix DP on the blade model number. They are thicker and much stronger and resistant to bending than thin blades. Bosch sell them and also Diablo. They change everything and make perfectly straight square cuts much easier to achieve. There are some very good YT vids about these blades if you would like to know more.
I had been studying and testing she find that Bosch precision blades do a great job of clean perpendicular cuts. No guide arm needed.
Nicely done! Feliz Navidad to you. Have a good one.............
Thank you 👍 Merry Christmas and happy holidays 😃
Staying tuned. Always had trouble with jigsaws. Need help with curves, too -- any ideas?!
I also have trouble when I cut curves, even if I use narrow blades. In my video "Testing some narrow jigsaw blades to cut tight curves" I talk about it. I also made a circle cutting jig for my jigsaw table, and it works quite well 😃
genius
Very nice
Thank you Vicent 👍
Top
Use Bosch " extra clean cut " blade 😊
Keren bro sukses dalam inofasimu kawan
👍
like it when you said "pay attencion"
What length of jigsaw blade u r using in this particular video
It is the usual length. Not a long one
Para el corte con JIGSAW lo que yo hago es poner tape y me sale bastante bien, que te parece mi idea?
Hahahaha por qué hablaba así !
I noticed that you have put a wooden base to the jigsaw base ?????
yo so funny !!!!!
hahahahaha, I guess you like my accent 😅
pay attention
There is nothing straight and accurate cut by a jigsaw. They are useful for cutting curves, but will never provide what one might call a finish cut, or a cut suitable for joinery. If you're very careful, have a new quality blade, and have accurately adjusted your saw, you might get a cut that doesn't require a great deal of sanding.
Accurate straight cuts off a fence with jigsaw is impossible because of the nature of the saw
Now I made a woodworking jig to improve the cuts. Pay attention to my channel next week 😃
My ears got a stroke listening to this guy's accent.
i put, i cut, WTF
Its useless!
