This is how we make our world famous freeze dried skittles. First you put the skittles on the tray, then you freeze dry them.

To put that in prospect you can get a 2.17oz bag of skittles for $1.32 and if you already have a freeze dryer you can make your own. Step 1. turn your freezer to the lowest temp it can go. Step 2. grab a plate a spread your skittles on it. Step 3. put them in the freezer for 2 - 3 weeks. Step 4. enjoy. ---Or---- Step 1. put them in your freeze dryer tray. Step 2. let it run a full cycle. step 3. Enjoy.

You can’t achieve a vacuum in your freezer in case you aren’t aware and that’s what is required to freeze dry. A freeze dryer creates a negative pressure called w vacuum and sublimates the water out of whatever you put in it. They don’t just get shit cold goofy.

Freeze dried Starbursts are also a game changer. Edit: Unfortunately, you can't make freeze-dried Starbursts without a costly freeze-drying machine ($1500 on the low end). It's best to buy them online or at a local candy store if available. However, _frozen_ Starbursts, are also a game-changer and can easily be made at home. Freeze-drying candy removes all the moisture and also makes it brittle and crunchy. However, Starbursts already have a low moisture content. So, if you just plain freeze them for at least an hour, they'll become brittle, crunchy, _and chewy_ (since they still have _some_ mositure). Also, Starbursts are taffy-based and naturally resistant to freezing. This means no matter how long you freeze them, they won't become rock hard and shatter your teeth. Instead, the first bite always results in a satisfying crunch that's chewy on the backend.

- by saying „spreading out“ he means shaking the tray so that no skittles are stacked on top of each other. For you it seems like they get closer to each other by the shaking, but what realy happens, is that the skittles which were stacked on top of each other fill the gaps.

- Ya can get a smaller freeze drier for less than a hundred bucks if you ever feel like investing. Definitely cheaper to buy the machine and freeze dry yourself than buy pre freeze dried stuff. Strawberries for one are really nice!
