She was fightin ya there Bjarne, got her in the end!
Kudos Bjarne... thanks for showing everyone it's not always sunshine and rainbows... good job!
Well, what a pain. If that was my old man falling that tree, it would have been one big bleep.😂😂
🤣 I’ve heard some real creative cursing over the years.
@BjarneButler Being a logger that definitely comes with the territory.
Man, that is some real steep country you're working on, one heck of a work out you got from that stubborn stick, I was feeling beat just watching you pound on the wedges. I like the way you problem solve no matter what you're doing yeah. Thanks for sharing the good and the bad ones Bjarne, beast reel.
Well, watched at noon today, and now I am worn out!
Me, too. Gonna need some bigger Power Wedges.
Tank you very much for sharing when goes wrong... It help alot! I grab all your little tricks !
Packing a simple log dog, a rock climbers belt, some prussik loops and a tag line would make your life so much easier in accessing the far low sides of these trees. Way safer, faster and a lot less work than building scaffolds...
You definitely have got some patience, I would of thrown a riggin fit of unfathomable proportions. Lol it would of looked like a D8 cat went round and round that tree. Have a great day pal.
COOL!
One hard working man! 💪
All that pounding with the axe really takes it out of you.this is one tree that fought back hard.you don’t have a jack in your back pocket do you 😅good job Bjarne it’s lunch time
A jack would have been handy but I shoulda made the undercut bigger and less holding wood 🤷♂️
Deconfliction maybe was the term you were looking for Bjarne? Anyway nice cutting guy be safe.
It's all about a proper under cut.......
You sure do have the best office views ❤ thanks for sharing.
Hi buddy Awesome. Keep it comin bro PS- avalanches will usually choose to go around guys like you and me!!
Billy goat legs.
Como bajan los troncos hasta la carretera? Vuelven a plantar arboles después? Gracias...
i was taught if tree leans back and you have to wedge it you need shallow notch because bigger the distance betwen wedge and holding wood more leverage you get.
At about frame 45:00 you need to start yelling, "I love you, Momma! I love you, Momma." I swear, it works every time.
I need to try that sometime 😅
Splits and cracks are good for wood worker's that use resin send it to people like black forest wood co they will love it
👍
Saya sangat menyukai tempat anda bekerja menebang pohon , suasana nya terlihat sangat indah
👋🏻
To bad we export the second growth what do think about about that?t There life and warmth and life in the old growth what do you think?
Sh*tty days at works never have be written at calender,it can be at anydays....😅
Bjarne tell them white strap for keeping hammer fur from climb 🧗♀️ cedar buddy . Hammer fur are protected all across Canada 🇨🇦 north , south , east and west 😊. Remember it TGIF Bubby need a break 😅😅warm weather in APRIL. 😊
If you had a bottle jack with you would that have been what you’d have used? That tree really gave you the business!
Some of those slopes are steeper then they look slamming wedges for 20 mins is probably easier then carrying a bottle jack.
Yes because I then have to pack the jack around all day. Also it was a mistake on my part for the smaller undercut and I shoulda cut more holding wood
Hello Bjarne...when you say " undercut bigger " you mean deeper into thé tree ?
Yes
Bjarne. Can identify the species of tree each time? also, What do the ribbons or bands stand for? Thanks Bjarne. Keep em coming! It is fun to see what is going on with timber falling BC (live in Seattle).
Orange ribbon is for block boundary, blue is either trail or stream, pink is from the engineers and not applicable to fallers, yellow is to identify a danger tree that is too dangerous to fall, red is new road location center line. The white bands around the trees are to prevent splitting when they hit the ground
Trust me I know
Need a super power wedge 1/2" thick will pound like butter but will not lift enough to have any effect.
Ever try counting the rings 45 minutes to fall 3 hundred 💯 to grow 🤔 maybe let them be just mill the second growth and leave the old I don't believe it is going to go anywhere soon 🤔 what do you think think?
What is a tree that size worth?
Phase congestion stacking phases
Overlapping operations?
Phase congestion is the term I was trying to think of 🤙
This was the most frustrating video of yours I have watched yet. I could just feel your frustration.
That term I think is phase congestion
Exactly. I just couldn’t think of it at the time. I never really plan out what I’m going to say I just wing it.
You always make it look easy until it's not.
Bjarne beautiful timber for logs 🪵 at the mills . Landscape start to look 👀 different now look 👀 your cutting area . Let know went you get some Grade AAA logs 🪵 buddy iiiii iiiii fly in and get a couple of premium cedar logs 🪵 buddy . 😊
All that work for toothpicks . almst
🤷♂️ sometimes
I'm curious why would you bash your guts out instead of cutting more holding wood??
how much the undercut must be big?
Sick of hearing about bubba walace
