    • Agreed, really makes you wonder why they chose that wheel placement Only reason I could think of is so you don't need to make the thing even longer to guard the wheels for on-road hazards, but it's such a massive handicap off-road for a vehicle THAT capable

    • @@1SweetPete Means you have more length of your load carried over the tires. Also means the cab is much lower and things can therefore extend over it, like crane booms, inter-continental ballistic missiles, you know, normal Tatra things. While they are "Off-road" vehicles they are built to haul loads mostly for military, agricultural, and forestry purposes. In all those cases while they are operating on rough and sometimes ill maintained ground, they are generally still on road surfaces or relatively even ground. They aren't really intended for this sort of off-road trials type driving, though they do quite well at it.

  • Reminds me of driving end fielders (A turbo diesel truck made to carry banana bunches in the paddock) some of them paddocks ive worked in have big pot holes like in this video and thay grow them on steep hills some times, but you have to drive careful so you dont damage the bananas. Was a fun job.

  • Wondering if they could design the cab a bit different so they have more front-end clearance? If they could add independent steering for maybe on those second set of tires?
