March 2000: With his band HIM he had a no. 1 hit with the song "Join Me" (also the album "Razorblade Romance" was a big success). In March 2000 the band came to Hamburg for their first big concert. Ville Valo and the boys from HIM spoke to the journalists at a press meeting.

He was into old glam bands and rock bands like KISS so he almost always sprays his face(airbrush makeup) Today he is alot less attractive due to age and alcohol abuse.. But back in 1999-2006 he was unbelievably beautiful. I had a huge crush on him for decades. After I learned that he didn't like the idea of guys and girls wanting to fuck/marry him said it was creepy, he is a humble man who thinks he is a normal person that shouldn't be idolized but he became the poster boy of the band to propel them into fame.

I can understand very well that these constant "sex symbol" questions annoyed him. Even today, many fans keep reducing him to this. Superficiality is unfortunately widespread. Some questions in this interview are superfluous and stupid, the time could have been better used. But Ville's reactions prove that even then he was adept at answering charmingly and eloquently.
That's true. What bugs me most is that these "questions" are completely pointless. Like what do you expect him to say? "Yeah, I know I'm hot as fuck and every girl wants to sleep with me"? I remember watching a German TV show whose host asked him if he had a girlfriend and then she acted all disappointed when Ville said he was seeing someone. I still can't believe how insensitive some of those people were.
@@Misspol222 Apparently, some journalists have missed the profession. At least some of the questions in interviews with him seem as if the people concerned had not been well prepared. But it's nice to see how calmly and with how much humor he usually reacts 😉

I think he’s probably one of the sexiest men in the world but it’s so more than that. He’s witty, clever and a very skilled musician. I find his lyrics impressive too and even more considering English isn’t his first language.
