Battery operated vs rechargeable? Here's our review of a low cost rechargeable option, but I think we've decided we like battery-operated better. Battery operated toothbrushes do not have to be left out on the counter and they also pack a little easier when traveling since no cord is needed. This rechargeable model uses short pulses instead of a simple beep to indicate 2-minute time is up. Maybe you'll like it better than we have so far.

Additional information for you guys: If you want to know whether the charging is working or not, turn your brush on then put it on the charger, if it suddenly stops, that means it goes to auto charging mode
@Jason McConnell I didn't think the lady ever said it on the video (or I missed it), I just tried mine 2 weeks ago, I turned it on then put it on the charger, it automatically stopped, it went into charging mode

@@SoshiKyo Hi, you can help me 2 weeks ago I bought my brush but about two days ago the battery ran out so I left it charging, and right now it does not work well, it turns on about 40 seconds and then it goes off (and I do not know if it has charge but I left it charging 16 hours)
@@str9464 are you saying that you can use your brush for 2 weeks straight without charging it? Was it the first time you charged the brush? For me, full charged brush can be used for 7 days; 2 times a day. but there was one time the battery ran out and I (thought I) left it fully charging, but it ran out again (didn't remember exactly how long; perhaps only 2 days). I couldn't find out what the problem was since there's no battery indicator, or if the charger was broken, but the charger was fine. So here's my thought; you know the charging uses inductive charging type so you must place it right onto the charger stand - but I think at that time I didn't place it properly (slightly lifted), so although you charged it for 16 hours, it wasn't fully charged because the energy wasn't properly transmitted. After that, I always check it if I place it properly before I left my brush charging, and no issue since then. I'm not sure if we have similar problem or this could help 😅

Thanks for noting the battery situation. Three years later and it is still designed this way. I guess this is what I get for buying something impulsively, rather than the more expensive and better detailed version my dentist recommended.

Thanks for clarifying things with this device- it’s appalling that there are no instructions and no way of knowing if it’s on or off- they must have had a day off at the Braun factory the day this was designed. Add that to the fact that in the UK it has a ghastly Euro plug which is useless without an adaptor - more expense- a poor product from top to bottom. I won’t buy Braun again that’s for sure.

Thanks for your review. It's a shame Oral-B could not include a charging light to indicate it is charging. IF I knew, there is no charging light on the brush, I would not have bought it. I bought from Costco, so it become to much trouble to know if it is charged or not - I will return it.

thanks for the video! does the timer start every time you press the start button? I feel like it would keep going forever if I don't stop it :D it just does buzz every now and again which supposedly is supposed to prompt one to move to a different area of the mouth.....

All they had to write in the instructions was “trust it. It is recharging if placed in the base”. That’s all they had to write.

Thank you so much. I was just about to throw my Oral B eletric toothbrush in the trash. Why because it wouldn't charge. I thought maybe there is a rechargeable battery that has died. Turns out your information about it only charging in the off position saved me. The problem is mine was totally dead. Watched your video. Charged again after clicking it one time...turned it off apparently. It's fully charged & working perfectly fine. Lesson learned never let it go completely dead. Thank you so much

@Dallool555 I would press the button again and then try charging it again for many hours. If nothing happens...press button again try charging again, you are trying to fine the off pisition...oh and try another outlet .

The rings in multi-packs of brush heads come in different colors :-) that’s mostly for when multiple people decide to use one and the same toothbrush, but with a different head. My boyfriend and I always either use mine when he’s over at mine or his when I’m over at his. No way I’ll be borrowing his toothbrush, lol.

Thanks for the clarity I had an older version which had a light that went off when it was charged. This one is useless u have no idea if it charging or not or when its finished.

More advanced models of Oral b have a charging indicator and pressure sensor incase you press too hard
Hey I just got mine but it's really low power (nothing turn or really vibrate) does it mean that it's not charged ?
Interesting part here is that in the instruction paper, there is also one extra thing but in the box, you cant find any so until you realize that extra thing is not necessary, it gives you headache.

Mine did not come charged. I thought it just didn't work. And i didn't know if it was on or off or anything about the two minute timer... So before i threw it out, i looked for info online. Tysm for this video i was able to troubleshoot a toothbrush and it does work. Lol

How do you know it's fully charged?
i bought mine this week, and I hope I learn to use it correclt sooner before I break it cause when i press it on the tooth it slows down.
Pressing a toothbrush on teeth is the worst thing you can do to your teeth, even worse than not brushing at all.
The switch isn't an on and off switch, if the battery dies while on then it will forget it's on so when you charge it, it won't come on until you press it
There is no way you are using that brush till runs out of charge because that's where it needs to be as soon as you are done... I have one and I love it..

I had problems charging the brush as when it runs out you have no power. The only way is to wait & see if it has any charge, & when it does not you must still have the Brush switched on. Meanwhile keep using the manual brush you need to have on standby as I did
you could buy a better version of it which is a little more expensive but it has a battery light sign that tells when the brush is running out of battery, I bought this vitality coming from the model above this but ended up buying the same model I had because of that

The vitality range are made at a price point, being available for as low as 17 Euro or dollars in Europe. This means every body can afford it and it even comes with a real charger (compare that to the Philips range that cost arm and a leg and does not come with a wall charger). You may be asking too much from a cheap but fully functional tooth brush. I have been using Braun tooth brushes of slightly higher models for almost 25 years now and their weaknesses are well known. They have a short battery charge life of only 1week due to NiMH batteries and the batteries degrade quickly within just a few years needing a new purchase. Recently they have switched to Li ion batteries in higher models so it should improve. The higher models with lights and whistles cost just a little bit more but still cheaper than the competition.
How much is the brush
This was my first brush from oral b. And it doesn’t have any light on it to indicate a battery status. It’s essential and not cost much to implement. This is the way you should feel that you bought a cheaper brush. So duck oralb my next brush will be Philips with all essential stuff out of the box. I don’t what to spend my time to google if the brush has an charging indicator.
The Pro 600 - 800 series have indication.
I could not figure out why it wasn't working turns out you have to take it off the stand for it to work and it will start making the toothbrush noises when it works again

Okay so I used mine up until it no longer powered on. How do I know if it's in the on or off position then? I have been trying to charge the dang thing for almost two days and it still won't turn on and I just bought it a few weeks ago.

depends on which oral B electric toothbrush you get, there are different ones . This specific one does not have that
So this beeps i hear twice is that notification for me to change my side of teeth's and when i hear it beeping 3 times my 2 minutes are up? I'm really new into this i tho my black demon its not working well or its low on battery always so got that thought that's broken lmao Am I right?
