Every child in India should be taught about the rich history and culture of the North East. The government should come up with chapters in history which teach our kids that the people of north east are also no different from us as well. I'm from the state of Kerala and in our school syllabus, we learn a little about the north east. I guess the same is applicable to most states in India. It's high time we brought in the people of north east to the mainstream of this country.

It's great to see a bollywood film focused on the Northeast. Though I belong to northern part of India...I've been living in North-east since my birth and everything about it makes me proud! I'll surely not miss this film , this already seems to be so good...

I apologise to the North East people that most Indians ignored this part of India and subjected them to racial abuse. I’ve never done it myself but my heart does go out to those poor people who went through such horrors. I visited Gangtok in 1999. Lovely place. As long as Indians acknowledge the differences between each other without being violent about it, I think India can unite.

As a resident of Tripura, I am more happy to know that this story is being showed to the whole India's audience. I still remember before covid When I visited Pune, the people there even didn't know that Tripura is a State and resides in NorthEast and how evn we are not known to the other Indians of this country. Only few people had heard about Assam of NorthEast. So they asked "are u from Assam? " and they thought Tripura is a place in Assam.. Bt they didn't evn know that Tripura is a separate sovereign state of India. And even didn't know there are 8 sovereign states in NorthEast India. I ws in complete awe to hear that.
It's not that other Indians are not inclusive that they don't know Tripura, it's just they were passed on grace marks in geography.

NE states are beautiful, may be lack of media coverage does not bring on stage. but nowadays things are changing. people are being aware of NE more than ever. Hopefully next 10 years, tourism will increase too. I personally will visit once at least in my life. I can answer your question - why people don't know properly, it is bcz many people think geography and history as a useless subject. that's why they are not aware.

All northeast people from all over the world ... Will go to theatre to watch this. Im in Bangalore from 5 years. 2 years before that I was in Shillong, meghalaya. But I'm from northeast.. dad is from Arunachal mom is from Assam. Being a girl from n.e... my hindi is very clear. It's like of those t.v serials. Because your surrounding shapes ur tongue. Language cannot decide where you can be from. Now I know kannada... Almost 70 percent. So if someone talks to me in phone in kannada they think I'm kannadiga. Language is not a weapon.. it just a means of communication. If not words even gestures can make the work done sometimes.

I think this is the first attempt in Indian cinema where someone tried to throw some light on geopolitical conflicts of north-east region of India. Kudos to the the team AnEk. I'm happy that some of the portion of the film is shot in Karbi Anglong adjacent to Kaziranga National Park and also happy that many Karbi actors were given chance to act in the mainstream film of Bollywood, I believe such bollywood film will definitely strengthened the ties with the mainstream of India.

Huge respect for the whole team for coming up with one of the major issues ie the discrimination against the North East people. I am from Assam and I have seen some mainstream Indians seeing us in such a way as if we don't belong from India. Yes our Hindi must not be as fluent but that doesn't mean that we aren't Indian . North East, it's people, it's history, it's problems have been disregarded and turned a blind eye to, for a long time. In fact, issues and events taking place in North east is very rarely talked about. There has been a long & persistent social stigma existing regarding north east and it's political and social environment. Most people tend to forget that people of North East are indian too and that patriotic feeling or feeling of brotherhood only arises when we see players from there, brining gold for india. They are our fellow countrymen and deserve respect as much as any other indian does. We indians, look different. All of us. And i think, that's what makes us unique because in this diverse country, one can find people from various races and ethnicities and therefore,no one must be given the authority to disrespect or disregard any fellow indian on the basis of their racial or cultural background. Rather that is something to be embraced dearly and be proud of, to have so many cultures, so many people, living together, United. Much respect to the whole crew of the film for bringing this issue up. Hope this plays a pivotal role in spreading awareness about people of North East and their struggles. 💜
