Where did u get the Paldiean Footage at start, with Arven and Meowscarada
Is the manga Canon, and where did u get the Cynthia Lance Blue vs Giovanni footage and the Mewtwo vs Mew?
Dragons breathing fire is exclusively a Western dragons trait. Most dragons of Asia are water or air associated. And when it comes to dragons or draconic creatures of elsewhere it varies as well
And even then it's more of a modern thing, old stories of dragons from medieval and ancient Europe often had dragons breathe poison as either a liquid or gas. Beowulf was the first instance of a fire breathing dragon and it still didn't catch on for a long time after.
That might Explain wht despite being based on Sieryu/Qinglong which is one of the four gods of China in certain mythologies Tyson's Dragoon from Beyblade is a Wind serpentine Dragon and not a water serpentine dragon.
A fire breathing dragon. Originally a Welsh concept, actually. Ever heard of the Welsh-Dragon? (Heck, Highschool DXD even referenced it, and that show is Borderline pornography. Still hilarious though). Chinese Dragons were mostly Air, water, and darkness, though A few Dragons were born of fire, smoke, and ash(mostly the supposedly evil ones)... this is reflected in pokemon. I mean, One Dragon Starts out Serpentine, then become a large European dragon, one starts as a Carp, then becomes a wingless Serpent of air and water, and one, fitting the Welsh description of "a great, winged, fire-breathing lizard" is just a Winged, fire-breathing Lizard. Heck, Welshdragons were actually fat, and therefore couldn't fly despite having wings, so gen1 charizard makes sense... still a stupid idea, but hey.
Interesting
Realizing that Delibird's bag is actually a tail gives that same feeling of realizing that Brendan's hair was actually a hat-
You totally unlocked an old memory! 😂 I remember rumors at my TCG league about the Gen 3 games. It was said that if you saw the berries sparkle it would double the amount of berries you got.
New video idea: New pokemon lines of specific types for regions where they are lacking in numbers. An example is more new ghost pokemon for Kanto since they only have the three members of the Gengar line as representatives of the type.
Strictly in terms of Native Pokemon. Steel Type for Kanto (1 less than Ghost rep from Magnemite line) (or dark type) Dragon Type for Johto (ghost or fighting could work too) Electric Types for Hoenn (poison is a second option) Fire Types for Sinnoh Fairy Types for Unova Ground Types for Kalos Dark Types for Alola (excluding regional forms) Poison Types for Galar (excluding regional forms)
@@AznYunHouwhat about dragon in kanto as a third option as I can use 3 lines to name every kanto dragon with one line each including evolutions on their own
@@mathswatch1976 well yeah, but it's tied with Ghost so I didn't want to just repeat the typing cause I already used Johto's one dragon as the region that needs more dragons
The not-so-fun facts about the Ledyba line's sizes are even worse when you consider the fact that real life ladybugs are a species of beetle.
And yet this pokemon line totally sucks
Ghost Napa: "Vegeta.... Vegeeeeeeeetaaa.... I'm haunting you!"
@@jeremyetremblay6663for battling yeah, I honestly like the aesthetic though and wouldn't mind hanging out with one haha
…How does that make it worse?
They're not scary beetles though
A physical attacker with very little else has higher attack than special attackers with higher everything else, whoop mind blown
I've actually known about the Berry tree animation for quite some time now, but I found out about it by accident. Saw it happen in the corner of my eye, and was like: 😳😲
Damn
Wait... if Delibird's "bag" is its tail... then what are we picking up and getting in Scarlet and Violet when we get the item "Delibird Parcel"???
"Parcel" just means package, it's one of the items that is produced by Delibird's tail.
That is technically it’s poop@@OtakuUnitedStudio
It's crazy that a ladybug Pokemon (4' 7") is almost as tall as the mantis Pokemon (4' 11").
That last fact is even more surprising to me because I know people who live there (I have family that does) and it's very close to me-
Here's another crazy part regarding the Mewtwo-human-hybrid fact (and I only learned it just now after watching this vid), is that when Blaine took some of his own cells so he can add them to Mewtwo, he also put some of Mewtwo's cells in his own body as well, so his arm became distorted due to the cells of Mewtwo in his body, which also slowly took over his body and his life. That's some really dark stuff. Excellent video once again dude, and yes I would love to see more of these, this video was wild!
Fun fact, most poop can be used in explosives with proper conditioning
5:54 - Did you just use a masterball on a Lickitung?
Why not? He also has a Mew, meaning he's using glitches, and therefore likely has 255 Master Balls most of the time.
The reason why Nidoking/queen are unable to breed has been known for quite a while. There's no mystery or confusion. The two are based heavily on rhinoceros, a species which is notably very difficult to breed in captivity.
They should have perpetuated that with pangoro
That's only speculation. The actual reason is because the original internal Pokédex used for designing the Gen 1 games spelled out that Nidorina gives up its ability to breed in order to evolve, which carries over into its Nidoqueen stage. DYKG had the entire document translated at great cost.
Turtenator adds a different meaning to explosive poop😅
I've always known dilibird bag was a tail
To be fair they do say hippos are among the deadliest animals alive, so give one psychic powers as well and that's a recipe for disaster
During X and Y days, I used to use Kingler as my Mega Kangaskhan counter of choice. Banded Super Power OHKO'd and it could take a hit before it started firing Power Up Punches lol
Wait, that doesn't seem likely to me. If it was Band, it wouldn't really be able to Protect itself from a Fake Out (which could put it in range of w/e bigger attack), and even before mega, Kang naturally outspeeds. You did make me recheck to see if Kingler had an ability like Inner Focus to ignore those Flinches, though, I'll give you that, lol.
Who knew a little crab 🦀 can be so powerful and fearsome. Yep, it deserves the title of an legendary. If Goku existed in the pokemon world he would love to fight this crab and make a good meal out of it
All of those legendaries have mostly special power not physical and can easily destroy any krabby.
Nidorina and Nidoqueen being unable to breed is explained in the "Lost Pokedex" book translated and presented on DYKG
Yep! A lot of people thought it was a glitch that never got fixed, or was grandfathered it, even though that makes no sense really. It's just because the original internal bestiary basically said that they stop ovulating as they evolve.
The objective of the line is to explain the phenomenon of evolution and how it affects species, in this case the search for power makes them lose the ability to reproduce.
Never assume a bug pokemon is smaller than a child
Okay, so Turtonator's dung is used in explosives. Is that really safe or is the threat of E. Coli a non-issue due to heat?
I agree that there not being a lot of dragon/fire types being crazy, but then I look at all the other dragon types and think that the fire typing doesn't really fit any of them, except for maybe Koraidon. Also note that fire dragons are more of a western thing, while eastern dragons are more associated with water
Technically Turtinator has a reason to be dragon since Dragon Turtles are a thing. No idea if the game designers planned this reference though. Excellent video as always ^^
4:19 that's not *too* surprising since in the Dragon Quest series, which Tajiri is fan of, some turtle-based monsters belong to the Dragon family. 5:29 it's insane that the *"Licking* Pokémon" couldn't learn *Lick* until Gen II (but at least you could trade one from GSC to RBY that knows Lick.) 6:34 there was a Japan-exclusive Pokédex book, that was recently translated to English, that outright says Nidorina, and by extent, Nidoqueen lose the ability to breed upon evolving from Nidoran (I always assumed it was a bug that was never fixed.) Given how *insanely* popular Pokémon was in those days, it's amazing that book was never released outside Japan.
Turtonator's dung being an explosive isn't actually surprising. Fertilize IRL, which is just animal poop, can very easily be turned into explosives and it's one of the most common main ingredients for home made explosives iirc.
Entry 3 to part 2: The Move Nightmare originated as a TCG Attack.
Oh so that explains why Howard was able to merge his mind with Mewtwo’s in the live action Pokémon Detective Pikachu movie.
More of these please! This sort of stuff is very intriguing. ^^
4:03 ah but fire breathing dragons imply they don't all breath fire
Being someone from Jefferson county Alabama I can attest the fact that even the cops do that kinda thing in Alabama it's no surprise to me lmao
Charazard feels like a regional fake to me like i could see a true charizard in another region as in a dragon type that looks very similar As its the false dragon pokemon. So a pure dragon type varient would make sense being the real true charazard. Maybe as a past pokemon.
Bro ppl have known that Delibird's bag is its a tail for years now...
That's one crabtivating Attack stat.
Dog s*it Sp.Def and hp
3:38 And now I womder about "Miraculous Ledian".
Who knew you could see berry trees growing
Loved the episode, mainly due to the size stats and attack stats, because I normally don't pay attention to those when I play the games.
So... you're saying that fireworks in the Pokémon universe, if not created hy Pokémon moves, are made of.. oh no.
I always thought another reason certain pokemon can't lean fly despite having wings is because they're body or muscles aren't strong enough to carry a pokemon trainer on their back in the air or sky whether the pokemon trainer is a child or an adult. Looking at you Beedrill, Butterfree, Scyther line, Yanma line, Ladyba line etc..
It's kinda silly comparing unevolved Pokémon stats with things like Mew and Celebi considering several have a stat or two at or above 100. Like, Abra and Trapinch have base 100 stats
That, and the fact that "cute" Mythical Pokémon almost always have 100 across the board.
These are INSANE and I would NEVER believe they’re TRUE (I’ve heard all of these facts 500 times)
Wow, that thing about berries... It really blew my mind.
I wouldn't be too scared of Slowking's height. I'm 6'4 and I also imagine that a lot of that height comes from the Shelder on its head
I thought the Nido lines can't breed due to them being poison types. Something to do with poison in their bodies after they evolve. Not sure if that's something official or if it's a fan theory.
If that was true, no Poison-types could ever breed. There's actually an old Pokédex book only ever released in Japan, and this was early Gen 1, that states that Nidorina loses the ability to have children upon evolving from Nidoran. So this was an intentional detail from the very, _very_ beginning.
@@IAmMissingnoMastertrue
@@IAmMissingnoMaster Not all poison works the same way. A Muk's poison would be different than Seviper's poison and both would be different than a Gloom's. So who knows how the Nido's get their poison. But yea that book is probably what I'm thinking of.
I feel like that situation with a slow bro. It's the additional height of that quote" shelter on its head so it's basically hat height that is making it that tall. I am barely 5 ft tall. I had put a kind oddly shaped hat on the other day for s**** and giggles and I hit it on the top of my dad's car door when I was getting in. I was like oh my God
Of course Krabby is powerful because in Japanese crab is Kani which is 1 letter off to God which in Japanese is Kami
Krabby now commands respect!
Cookie cookie
Dialga Origin Form blasts it to last couple centuries.
Did this man just call Slowking a hippo
wow i learned a lot. I thought darumaka was the only poop related pokemon up until this point. turtanator poop related Pokedex entry makes a ton of sense after you realize it's poop has methane in it. so light em up and throw
Chimchar and diglett also uses poop for resources
Ledyba is big because that's better for hugging. 😌
The first time I seen the berry sparkles, I was so confused. Lol
Lmfaooooooo that last one sounds like an Onion article, my jaw was on the ground 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I haven't laughed that hard in a minute, wow he tried to steal in uniform? How does anyone that stupid get employed by the government?
Slowking is 4 inches taller than my brother, that’s ridiculous
Douglas "Doug" Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome has Slowking beat.
Damn. Slowking is smart enough to be ballin
Nidorina and Nidoqueen not being able to breed is because it was part of the big ecology design document used during production of the games. Pokedex entries for Red and Green were copied from the information written on all of the original 150. But not everything was included, like how Nidorina loses the ability to reproduce after evolving because it has become more of a protector of its younger relatives. Yes, they wrote _menopause_ into a Pokemon's biology section.
That Krabby fact is why he won in its first and I think only battle in the anime
Hi. I'm the guy who already knew all this, except the Card stealing cop thing... And the Krabby thing? Yeah, there's a reason for that. Krabby evolves into Kingler, which is based on the Fiddler Crab... a creature who can, using the big claw, snap a 2mm thick steel wire... not a huge amount of steel, but it's STILL Steel. Now, imagine that the size of Kingler instead of a tiny crab... no steel beam of human leg is safe... Also, it's frickin killer in gen 1&2... one of the few pokemon to learn Guillotine and Vicegrip, with its massive attack...
Take a shot every time he says the word "literally".
Turtonator must have the absolute worst cricked neck.
4:51 Talk about a blow out lol
its cause rhinos cant breed in captivity
Does Slowking's height include the crown? I think more than a few people will have already had an idea of how tall it is, though, as wasn't the one in Pokémon 2000 taller than Ash?
So if delibirds bag is it tail and you tell it to use present and it explodes on a pokemon it tossing its poop at you also when it heals a pokemon is it cause it ate a bunch of oran berries
People complain about charizard being flying instead of dragon but making things worse is how in Red and Blue they couldn’t learn ANY flying type moves…not even by tm! And nidorina and nidoqueen can’t breed but the dex is FULL of entries about them raising their young (And try not to think too much of the fact Nidoking can breed with little nidoran… something that isn’t brought up nearly as often as the “can’t breed with nidoqueen” controversy)
Was anyone else surprised to see tofrug make an appearance in the add background
why are these ladybugs so big they eat yeast to be so big also that guy was a team rocket in real life really the lecel was team rocket
Pokémon heights are so weird
i mean, ledyba isnt vertically oriented, its 3ft long
also salamences height is foot to shoulder, the genies are just the body, and like 2 feet of slowking is just the shell
Wait Rhyhorn is only 3ft tall?!?Then why is its 3D model in older games and appearances in the anime made to be bigger? Did the sizes change for it and other mons ?
I think the reason there are so few Fire/Dragon type is because in east Asia were Gamefreak is from Dragons are associated more with water not fire
Krabby is the Mr PoPo of the Pokemon world
I was today years old when i realized nidoqueen cant breed because of menopause.
Series idea. IRL crimes because of Pokémon like that policeman
Squirtle : i blow bubbles Pikachu : i summon lightning Tortunator: i shit napalm 😂😂
Dr Lava has a video explaining why nidoqueen can't breed and yes, it was intentional
All hail the mighty lord krabby
I got to see the animation several times (watering them more than once).
Remember the special olympics family guy episode where the ladybug took steriods. Mommy look at the ladybuahhhhhhh!!
I thought Mewtwo was a mix between Mew and the Dr's deceased daughter ?
That's the main Anime/Movie's cannon.
Cool video
*Who hits harder?* Powerful gods and extraterrestrial beings OR one crabby boi
One pinch crab!
Not to be that guy, but the fact of dragon type dragons is lacking some information. I recommend the video "trope talks: dragons" by OSP. But it boils down to dragons have an extensive lore and fire breathing dragons are more European centric. Considering pokemon is a Japanese franchise, It makes sense that most dragons aren't fire type as well. And even not considering this extra context, most dragon Pokemon can learn a fire type move
a police officer was trying to steal pokemon cards? A POLICE OFFICER?! DUDE YOUR A POLICE OFFICER,WHAT THE HELL?! talk about embarrassing
That last one didn't shock me at all😂
Stupidity is to be expected.
Cool rings 😎
Slowing is taller than me
The manga is separate from the anima and games.
Could mewtwo learn NEN the power system from hunter x hunter? Lol
Honestly the last one is not that surprising in the sense of, despite the seeming hypocrisy of it, police are just as likely to commit crimes and regular citizens and more surprising that the dude was willing to ruin his reputation over packs of cardboard with Japanese cartoon monsters printed on them lmao. Like Pokemon cards are cool and all but absolutely aren't worth stealing (at least not the blind packs you'd get at a Walmart. Rare collector type promo cards I would sorta understand though).
I, too, have explosive poops. I'm a Turtinator
Krabby beats Goku
Nidoking doesn't breed with Nidoqueen because she hit the wall. Why have hey when he can have a much younger less experienced Nidorina who's always on all for, ready for the position.
Ridge ring sounds like they don’t go on your finger
The Pokémon with Human Tits can’t Breed? That is shocking
All bow down to King Krabby!
Hot take: Onix can wall Krabby
dont talk shit about my boy Krabby. Goated
