Man, when he said "I know kids get teased for wearing my shoe, but my shoe doesn't look like a 29 dollar shoe and I take pride in that". That touched me deep. I think is a shame kids do get tease for wearing Shaq shoes. We got to teach humility to our children.
Shoes are shoes, as long as they look good and are comfortable to wear, it shouldn't matter.
@@koushikvemuri3130 society values material things. Its a terrible way to judge people.
It’s true though when I was a kid it was embarrassing to get caught wearing his shoes. I’m 28 now and to think back on it, it is dumb but what can we do we were kids just trying to fit in.
I had the shaq shoes also the fubu ones too. I got teased but I didn’t let it get to me. I started to look for flaws in them and lit 🔥 their asses up! Went from being picked on to being a cool kid
word to god. we used to call them "air walmarts" when i was a kid. makes me sick thinking about clowning on someone because that's all their parents could afford. Im 35 now and I buy clothes from walmart and target all the time even though I make decent money. It's about looking fly, not spending money. After I discovered thrift stores in high school, I never looked at clothes the same way. You can hit up goodwill and look good for $10.

I still remember when I was young and my mom could only afford shaqs but I would rock them and to know the back story it actually makes me feel better knowing he made his own shoe to make it affordable for families with low income
