Well in the "je suis" you can use "je suis en train de suivre ____" which sure litteraly translastes to stuff like "i am proceeding to follow ___" but in short its really just another way of saying im following you, just a bit differant as to not confuse the one you are speaking to. T'es toi and tait toi is much simpler since t'es is short for Tu est toi, just slow down in case of confusion and the distinction shows. Now that the serious part is dealt with the answer is "we dont, why do you think France is always on strike? We cant communicate with words what we truly want"

Me after learning French for six years: How can you speak French so fast? 🥴 I could barely understand anything without your subtitles. Thank you very much for them. They're a lifesaver
@justme3253 Жыл бұрын
It depends on the speaker. Any native speaker of any language may be quite unintelligible for outsiders. My French is about tourist level, but when I watched French station aimed the outside world, I could understand each word perfectly. Because the news anchors took care to *properly enunciate* instead of just rattling tatata and not caring whether anyone outside their immediate circle of friends and acquantainces would understand them.
@AudieHolland Жыл бұрын
When speaking in an informal context, we tend to shorten the pronounciation to speak faster Like "gotta go" or "dja want me to" in english You usually don't learn this in french lessons as it is gramatically wrong. It usually makes it hard to understand natives. I am french and I have friends from other countries living here, they needed some time to get used to it Examples from the video "Tu es" -> "t'es" "Je suis" -> "j'suis" (or even "chuis" but we don't write that) "Ce que" -> "ske" (same. We don't write it like that too) Other common examples "Si tu veux" -> "stu veux" (not written) "Je ne sais pas" -> "jsais pas" (same) "Qu'est-ce que" -> "qu'esque" "Il y a" -> "ia"
@mee14159 Жыл бұрын
French speakers speak way faster than we do in Switzerland. It's also sometime challenging for me
@marcmonnerat4850 Жыл бұрын
@@mee14159 I assure you that we 100% write "chui/chu" (je suis), "stu veux" (si tu veux), "jsais pas/chai pas/chaipo" (je ne sais pas), "kessé" (qu'est-ce que c'est), "tsé" (tu sais), etc in informal contexts in Quebec. Such contexts include texts, mails, written messages between friends and/or family. Anything else follows the formal rules and if you write those things in a formal context, you'll get a slap on the wrist at best or possibly get fired 😬.

How the French can even communicate with each other is beyond me XD
Maybe it’s because of the situation but we understand it without even thinking, it’s just natural

French speakers speak way faster than we do in Switzerland. It's also sometime challenging for me
@@mee14159 I assure you that we 100% write "chui/chu" (je suis), "stu veux" (si tu veux), "jsais pas/chai pas/chaipo" (je ne sais pas), "kessé" (qu'est-ce que c'est), "tsé" (tu sais), etc in informal contexts in Quebec. Such contexts include texts, mails, written messages between friends and/or family. Anything else follows the formal rules and if you write those things in a formal context, you'll get a slap on the wrist at best or possibly get fired 😬.
