Inside Edition’s most popular stories of 2020 were not about the pandemic, politics, racial justice, or climate change. Our most-viewed stories this year were about possible crimes interrupted. In January, we brought you the story of a 10-year-old who yelled and threw rocks at a car that was trying to accost him. And in February, we shared the story of two newlywed police officers who stopped a robbery in progress while they were out to dinner. #InsideEdition

The two married cops eating when a robbery takes place is like something out of a cheesy early 2000's romcom. All the loose ends have been tied up, all that's left is to tend to their newly strengthened relationship, they get married, go to the diner, talk about maybe hanging it up and becoming the quiet couple in the neighborhood. But in walks a robber, and they look at each other: "Fate had other plans" and off they go. Roll credits.
I mean, I would watch it-
I'm so upset that that boy yelled and screamed and still no one came to the door. Can't imagine the terror he felt. So brave and smart!
Because it was like 3 minutes and nobody came if my mom heard me screaming she would be there right away

It’s sad walking home alone in the dark. Then to find out your about to be kidnapped and all you want is someone to protect you. But your parents locked the door and aren’t home. Why was no one there for him? Why does he not have a key?

yes and i don"t understand what their intension was, makes no damn sense. though they must be pretty stupid to try to kidnapp a child in a car, all you need to do is write down the license plate number and you will get criminals off the street.

Like imagine you're walking down the street and some person shoves you, then waves a gun in your face, just because they continued to step a couple feet in front of you doesn't mean the threat went away. You have a right to use force against them after that

The child should not have confronted an adult and it isn't good to promote her actions as heroic or other children who saw this would think to do the same with far more tragic result. If what led him to his attempt at a crime is unmanaged mental illness or an addiction that child was in terrible danger and was lucky to have been left unharmed. Her safety is WAY more important than anything in that garage.

When i was 7 i had a nightmare that some dudes kidnapped me and i screamed and banged at my locked front door then they hit my head and i passed out, since i was young tho i didn’t really know what a kidnapper would DO to a kid after they were stolen so then in my dream after i passed out i woke up in a dark basement while they forcefed me baby food. i woke up crying like wtf

The guy walking up to the garage reminds me of what happened to me. I was sitting in the car waiting for my dad to come out of the garage when this guy starts walking up our driveway to get into the garage. I just so happened to be on the phone with my dad. The guy booked it as soon as my dad opened the door.
