  • From what I can see, he's still in better shape than most people. A lot of fighters go through the same thing, Paddy just has the guts to show everyone

    • Haha yeah. I'm a wrestler and a guy who gains like 40 lbs after the season ends. People you know say you got fat but then other people say you're still in shape. It's definitely a universal thing for some people in weight cutting sports

A lot of people like to judge body types and most combat athletes are the only people who are wise enough not to do that. We will still give him crap about it, but we have known each other for 8+ years.

  • What makes Paddy my inspiration, is that everything is real. No flexing a bag with money, No bling bling and telling the camera man how much he is worth and so on.     • You have to at least stay in a decent shape and still train here and there. You don't just stop it all. Also, this says a lot about his hunger for fighting. He loves fighting sure, but if he doesn't train and spar he has very little chance to be a champ one day. He will hit a wall soon, because he's not hungry (for fighting) enough.

  • Looks like he's got a good training regime and team surrounding him now that will push him to grow and have way better longevity within the UFC, especially in such a weight class as LW. Paddy is talented and entertaining to watch but was always going to hit a wall coming in and fighting the way he did.

    • Bein scouse, you can't behave the way some of those bellends do who are all elevated up their own arses. As his boxing coach told him, I'm not here to be a yes man. He tells him straight and keeps him where he should be, he only cares about making him as good as he can physically, he's not there to bow to an ego. Anyone round here tries to act elevated and better than someone else, they get fucking dragged back down to reality, and I think that's why Paddy is just a normal sound lad, cos everyone around him will keep him that way. Dead proud of the lad, and Meatball, proper role models for the kids of this city.

  • I watch ALOT of training camps and there are very few fighters getting back to the grind as intensely as that from the first days - love him or hate him he works hard despite the lazy non-caring narrative some give him. Paddy is a true fighter at the end of the day and he's always improving, entertaining, and always going for the finish. Some people should learn to appreciate his fights more rather than trying to find flaws - but that's what they'll do when you're successful. Keep up the good work Paddy!
