Like you get paid for these ads, sure @TheFlightMike but man, it's still gambling and people will lose money regardless, at least add a disclaimer. • I think the real problem with Ben is that he lacks the ability to differentiate between motivation and discipline. See a lot of players could really care less about their career as long as they make millions. This what sets apart the greats vs the average, which is basically discipline vs motivation. Everyone is motivated to get something but once it’s gotten the motive is gone motivation is jus a temporary feeling. The greats like Lebron, curry, Jordan, Kobe etc were disciplined. Not everyone could be disciplined because it takes a lot of mental effort and dedication unfortunately ben doesn’t have this ability which is why he never improved since his rookie year. Honestly this is a big problem that most humans have and why they can’t tap in their potential. Motivation is what gets you started but discipline is what keeps you going. I said this in a different video but i think people have to understand this his biggest issue

  • It blows my mind that Ben Simmons was picked #1 overall in the draft, had an NBA franchise build a system around his skill set and not his MVP teammate, won rookie of the year, was being hailed as the next Magic or Lebron, got paid a max contract even though he never improved beyond his rookie year, had multiple All-Star selections.. All that without ever learning how to shoot the ball outside a few feet from the rim, including free throws. Crazy!!

    • @Yeen_ they built around a defensive pass first guy by drafting and trading for playmakers who weren't always great shooters? Why did they trade Covington and Muscala and Saric for players that didn't really fit with Ben but did fit with Embiid? With Ben you need space and shooting and they traded that for Harris and Butler. On top of trading 2x PGs after Ben including a number 2 pick and then Maxey though he was a amazing pick-up as late as he went.

  • All the issues will become non-factor if he weren't so grossly overpaid. I understand that Philly gave him a supermax contract until end of 2024/25 season based on his potential back then. However, he did not manage to return the value due to injuries, mental health issues and confidence crisis. Once he becomes an unrestricted free agent, no team will offer anywhere near his current pay...if they even offer him at all. In the current league where scoring ability is increasingly more important, his offensive liability is becoming very difficult to hide. I am all for a person to stick to one's strengths, but by not sharpening his scoring ability, he risks becoming less and less relevant.

There's days, like today I have constant pain shooting down my right leg that makes it feel weak. The thing is I thought the issue was in my right hip originally aswell. The thought it was just back spasms the sciatic nerve then finally scanned to see a bulging disk pressing onto the nerve. I can do my job, occasionally exercise, generally struggle through normal life things but not way am I remotely close to peak ability in anything. The qualifier is they can not play any regular or post season games that year. Therefore, can the Nets get back some of his $40 million for 2024-2025? I'm sure the underwriter-Lloyd's of London-would fight them but I am curious.

  • People that get back surgery go downhill if the first surgery doesn’t work. The injury could easily be traveling up his spine. If he gets a surgery on the next disc up, the one above is going to fail next and repeat the cycle. The epidural steroid injection is there just minimize the inflammation that is pressing on the nerves on his back. If he is in pain, this soon after his ESI, the next step is to focus on physical therapy. Also, he could lose weight and try to play with a smaller body but he is at risk of losing his ability to play bully ball. The options aren’t looking good for him.

  • Ben Simmons will have a heck of a Season next year, close to his All Start Level of play. Then 1 or 2 teams will sign him for a considerable amount of money(not max), and then we're going to witness the same cycle again.

  • Ben Wallace, Dennis Rodman, Draymond Green all have rings without being good scorers but does everything else that’s needed on the court….jsut surround him with scorers why is this so difficult his best years were when he had Embiid and Butler running around him…it’s so simple lol

    • @basketballboygenius Simmons best year was when he was just a playmaker with Embiid and Simmons his faults didn’t get exposed untill Butler left and he was made a 2nd scorer which he isn’t… he’s a playmaker with elite defense..and he’s gonna make a good 3rd or 4th option when coaches stop trying to make him a scorer which he never been…This is all Philly fault for over hyping and over paying him cause he knows his strong points but his contract is making him something he isn’t lol

  • The league moved away from his game just as injuries slowed him by a step or two. When he entered the league he was a hyper athletic enormous point guard. Now he’s just a spacing liability on offense who can’t quite mask it with his athleticism anymore. Shit happens, he still made 100m. Not too worried about him

    @jcece5270@jcece52704 ай бұрын
  • You have to use him at the 5. If Looney can play the 5 then he can. He has to get better at rebounding and or shooting. Tell him to pick his poison...
