Canadian guy here... I spent about 2 years living in England, and their television is much better than Canada/USA television. They are not as uptight, worried about being too politically correct, and all the other bullshit that goes with it. It's just flat out better entertainment (talk shows, sitcoms, game shows, etc).

It's safe to say, Jimmy is one of those guys. He isn't here to give a damn about your feelings. He's here to push the boundaries of what's funny as sooooo many comics USED to do. He's a special kind of person that stands on business and consistently makes people uncomfortable because they're laughing at something that makes them uncomfortable. What he does isn't easy and in my opinion he should be protected at all costs. I love that you're trying so hard to not laugh even though you know it's f-ing funny. Great.

They tried to go after Jimmy for a trans joke, but he basically shrugged and said something to the effect of, “Have you heard the rest of my material?” He did get salty when they tried to go after his friend Victoria Coren for defending him. She is an absolutely brilliant lady who also happens to be kind and funny. She basically said, “Jimmy is a lovely person. These are called jokes,” and they went after her. Carr pretty much said, “Nope, nope. Come after me, but leave my friends out of it.” In America it was a scenario that might have been career ending, but Carr just kind of rolled his eyes and moved on.

Jimmy is one of the hardest working comics in the U.K. (even after the tax stuff!) He mostly sticks to shock humour but he has always stayed behind at every gig I have been to (seen him 6-7 times) and said hi to the fans. Top guy.

Jimmy Carr looking wholesome and sounding sophisticated really makes the dark humor land. He's the dark humor GOAT. Both Jimmy Carr and Patrice O'Neal did their own versions of "The Nasty Show" definitely recommended.

So you know, he actually does stand down off the stage and shake hands and greet everyone who wants to come over after his shows. He sits there for hours talking with the crowd after each show.

They tried to go after Jimmy for a trans joke, but he basically shrugged and said something to the effect of, “Have you heard the rest of my material?” He did get salty when they tried to go after his friend Victoria Coren for defending him. She is an absolutely brilliant lady who also happens to be kind and funny. She basically said, “Jimmy is a lovely person. These are called jokes,” and they went after her. Carr pretty much said, “Nope, nope. Come after me, but leave my friends out of it.” In America it was a scenario that might have been career ending, but Carr just kind of rolled his eyes and moved on.

they tried to cancel him recently for a holocaust joke which wouldn't be near his top ten offensive jokes...
