  • HOW TO AVOID TO SHOW OFF: 1) Always check your intention. keep your sincerity checked. 2) Knowledge. The more knowledge you have the more hard it will be for shaytan to lead you astray and Allah says in the Quran "Its is only the scholars who have the fear of Allah. 3) Dua is the weapon of a believer. Ask Allah to guide your heart. 4) Increasing one's private deeds. Doing good when no one is looking.

  • This dua will grant the one who says it billions of hassanat.. It is known that if your ask Allah for forgiveness for someone you know you will get hassanat and Angels will pray for you. Dua: oh Allah grant forgiveness to all male and female muslims, male and female believers, those who are dead and alive. Amen

  • The pronunciation in English for the given dua is: Allahumma inni a'udhu bika an ushrika bika shaiyan wa ana a'lamu hu, wa astaghfiruka lima la a'lamu hu. Here is a rough phonetic guide to help with the pronunciation: Ah-lah-hum-mah inn-ee ah-oo-thoo bee-kah ahn oosh-ree-kah bee-kah saai ann wah ah-nah ah-lah-moo, wah ah-stah-ghir-oo-kah lee-mah lah ah-lah-moo.

  • i am not Muslim but i practice modesty and sincerity IRL to an extreme that i feel like it’s almost a disorder. it’s a red flag for most people.. never post myself, always cover myself, even go out of my way to un-beautify myself if i’m at home and know somebody is coming, i don’t correct people if they say something wrong and negative about me. i also don’t argue anymore; i just listen and even though i can agree or disagree, i don’t debate because i think everybody’s opinions are valid. many other things. it’s like an illness how much my mind forces me to not want to show off. it sounds like a good thing.. but to society’s norms, i am just garbage. i wish that i will want to show off so i can be normal also.. sorry.. not familiar with Islam.. so maybe the shirk you are talking about is more related to religion, and not showing off in general?

    • Concealing sin protects one against being disrespectful in this manner, because sin brings humiliation upon the people who commit it, such as the hadd punishment if it is a sin that carries such a penalty, or the ta’zeer penalty if no hadd is enjoined. If it is something which violates the rights of Allaah, then He is the Most Generous and His Mercy precedes His Wrath. Hence if He conceals it in this world, He will not expose it in the Hereafter, but the one who flaunts it openly loses all of that.

    • Sincerity is about intentions not actions. It's about doing things for only God's approval and not other people's. It is possible for a person giving charity publicly to be more sincere than someone who refuses to (if, for example, the first person intends to set a good example for God's approval and the other person wants to appear humble to others).

    • @@lapis_lazuli578 I personally would not be able to give charity in public because I don’t want others to see me as good. In my mind, I know beforehand that I will be seen so it will be asking for good attention which is immodest. But I understand that it is good to set examples for other people and I don’t think other people that do these things are any less sincere! It’s just how my mind is.. it’s something I wish I could change about myself

    • @@MenkIsAMubtadiiDeobandi I feel like some morals I have may align with some Islamic views, actually, and that’s why I did read and watch some content like this a few months ago! Unfortunately though, I don’t think my ‘unearthly’ beliefs-or lack thereof- align with Islam and I didn’t want to practice in vain so I stopped trying to manipulate myself out of respect, and to remain sincere Thank you for your reply because to muslim people my age that I know, I’m still abnormally boring and ‘odd;’ it’s comforting to know that you are also similar, but seem to be at ease with it! I hope to grow more, and hopefully find and accept Islam also, InshaAllah (Is this disrespectful or offensive to say as a non-religious person??). It’s something I truly want to believe in. Thank you

  • عن معقل بن يسار قال انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: (يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ لَلشِّرْكُ فِيكُمْ أَخْفَى مِنْ دَبِيبِ النَّمْلِ) فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: وَهَلِ الشِّرْكُ إِلَّا مَنْ جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخر؟ قال النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: (وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَلشِّرْكُ أَخْفَى مِنْ دَبِيبِ النَّمْلِ، أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ إِذَا قُلْتَهُ ذَهَبَ عَنْكَ قَلِيلُهُ وَكَثِيرُهُ؟ قَالَ: (قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لما لا أعلم) صحيح ـ «الضعيفة» تحت رقم (3755) , (التعليق الرغيب» (1/39ـ 40) : (ليس في شيء من الكتب الستة) ترجمہ : معقل بن یسار فرماتے ہیں میں سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس گیا، تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا اے ابوبکر ! شرک کا وجود تم لوگوں میں چیونٹی کی چال سے بھی زیادہ مخفی ہوتا ہے ، تو ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : شرک اللہ کے ساتھ کسی اور کو معبود ماننے کے علاوہ بھی کوئی شرک ہوتا ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے ، شرک چیونٹی کی چال سے بھی پوشیدہ ہوتا ہے ، کیا میں تمہیں ایسے کلمات نہ بتاؤں جنہیں تم پڑھو تو تھوڑا یا زیادہ جو بھی ہو شرک تم سے دور ہو جائے تم پڑھا کرو ( اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لما لا أعلم) اسے امام بخاری نے الادب المفرد میں روایت کیا اور علامہ البانی نے اسے صحیح کہا ہے ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔
