Ridiculous that the same government can grant her a permit, then turn around and prosecute her over it...

It’s strange listening to people talk about this like it’s the worst thing to ever happen in Palestine. Dancing in the wrong place offends people but a bunch of bombs going off might not even make the news.
@Benjamin Miles I see your point but I was talking more about the people who are angry at her for hosting the event.
We're talking about one of the most holiest regions in the world....and a WOMAN had a party with drugs and booze INSIDE a mosque. It's equivalent to someone hosting a party in St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City or some Jewish kids hosting a party right next to the Western Wall. Hell, go have a similar party in an evangelical church in Texas and see what type of reactions you would get. It's not all that surprising.
The BBC isn't interested when Palestinians die. Sadly.

@@lfeb This happed in the early 90's. They treated it like a public safety and noise pollution problem. Tens of Thousands of people were turning up at raves that lasted Friday night to Monday morning. The police and government didn't like this very much. The UK is a small country with a large population so there's very few places left where you're not close to someone's home. Everyone was moaning about the loud rave music coming from massive house size stacks of speakers rattling everyone's windows all weekend. So the government came up with a new set of laws basically banning raves unless they were legally licenced. Ilegal raves still went on but nothing like the sizes they use too. It was far less hassle for organisers to just rent out warehouse size event venues rather than run the risk of being arrested and having exspensive equipment seized. This was the start of commercialising rave. When DJ's nobody had heard of started being played in every ravers tape cassette player all over the country because you could now buy recordings of the rave you had been too on tape packs. Six tape cassettes in a colourful box with a different DJ's set on each side of the tapes. Now DJ's went from unknowns to being paid thousands of pounds for a hour and bringing in the paying punters to the raves and by now the clubs too everytime their name appeared on the flyers.
Just like the palistinians - us ravers throw stones at the police when they do
